Contacted dc customs about fitting a body kit. Said it would be 3 months. Replied to their email. After a further wait of a couple of weeks they replied with a specific date of less than two months away. Will update review after work carried out.
DCCustoms sold me a very pretty Beetle several years ago. Having only driven it on a single short (3 miles) trip, I stored it till recently when I sent it for recommissioning. It transpires that not only were the gauges not (never) working but the electronic ignition system seems to be bizarrely unfixable according to the mechanic (the go-to guys for my trusted luxury car specialist) I sent it to. DCCustoms agreed to repair the car, but when I called them closer to the appointed time, they told me they were far too busy and couldn’t (wouldn’t!) do it. They also promised to check out with other specialists but failed to get back to me. Naturally, they now disavow any responsibility. I would suggest that it is only fair to (being generous!) describe them as unreliable, disingenuous and very poor at communication. Caveat emptor!
