Good service, subpar product
The service itself was great. However the product leaves you wanting more. Great concept but execution isn't quite what you would expect for the price tag. Buds let through alot more noise than I believe is advertised regardless of changing tips to fit ears tightly. Have compared to other products with similar decibel ratings.

Very inefficient to reduce noise
Very inefficient to reduce noise . Standard single use foam earplug works much better. This is a scam that’s it

I am really impressed with the quality
I am really impressed with the quality, plus the experience of using them in your ear, they are very clear and the highs stay clear. I have tried about 3 other brands, many claim to have a high NRR, but sadly fall short, I found them to be comfortable to wear, noise is reduced enough, to hear the music. I play in a loud rock band and high volumes are inevitable, so you need good protection for your hearing, these work great. Thank you.

"dBud" always on my side! and a few suggestions
My journey with dBud has been nothing short of remarkable, starting from their Kickstarter launch to the present day. These earplugs have become an indispensable part of my daily life, offering unparalleled hearing protection. I recall the days when the slider was made of metal; the transition to a lighter and more ergonomic material has significantly enhanced the comfort for extended wear.
I did encounter a minor hiccup with the logo text on my first pair, but the dBud team promptly reached out and resolved the issue to my utmost satisfaction. Their customer service is as exceptional as their product. Kudos to dBud for their continuous innovation and stellar support!
Just started using the 2nd gen recently cuz summer concert season and loudness in NYC, a few suggestions: Even tho they are lighter, more discreet, and comfortable, which doesn't hurt my ears with their outer sharp edge, the magnets on the 2nd gen is so much weaker comparing to the 1st gen/original version. Being on my neck, sticked together, I have dropped the buds twice in a row on random roads just walking with my friends, this has never been an issue really with my first pairs. The second time they dropped, they got ran over by cars and never recovered. Sadly have to purchase them again, cuz they are still the best, even tho with this weak point that is yet to be improved.

Slider does nothing
They are oke. Comfortable and light weight. But the slider does't work. The whole point for these dbuds is that you are supposed to be able to chose one of two settings in damping of the sound. But there is absolutely no difference at all. Maybe mine are an exception and came with a broken slider. If not, the hype around this is ridiculous. I can have the same buds with no slider for less than a quarter of the price.

Issue with UK orders; good response after chasing
*** Original review 21/8 ***
I placed order #4052 on 12/8/23. That was a Saturday so I didn't expect an update until at least Monday 14/8, but it is now a week later, and the order still shows as only 'confirmed', despite the claim that orders are normally processed within 24 hours apart from weekends. I sent a follow-up email (at 9:55 on Friday 18/8), and I'm still waiting for a reply. For now I'm being generous giving a neutral 3 stars, assuming the company has simply had a surge in orders and is overwhelmed, or is a sole trader who has been away for a week. (But if so, it would be nice if there had been an automatic reply saying so.) I look forward to an update this week. I was hoping to receive my earplugs in time for an event next weekend.
*** Update 22/8 ***
I've now had a reply to my email, explaining that there has been a supply issue affecting the UK warehouse, and offering either delivery from the Netherlands, or a refund. I asked for a refund, and had a refund confirmation email the same day.
*** Update 24/8 ***
Refund received.

Work great!
Impressed with these earbuds... I use them when in loud environments (bars etc.) and they are great at protecting my ears.

The best sound and great service!
I've tried so many high fidelity concert/musician earplugs and thought I had found the best ones. But dbuds completely blow everything I've tried out of the water! The sound quality is unparalleled, and being able to switch to the voice filter when walking between stages is such a nice feature.
Their customer service is also incredible! My first pair had a defect and they sent me a new pair right away!

There are great but 4 issues
There are great, it does reduce the environment and you can still hear clearly people talking ( on the first range only) but there 4 issues with the dbud:
1-main issue with cable attached there is a whistling problem with the wind and while walking, at first I thought it was the dbud but when I removed the cable it was gone.
2- the sizes of the ear plug for the foam ones are too big for me, I can't fit the smaller one and I would have liked to test them but I can't, I use the xs for the Silicon and there is only an S for the foam.
3- the magnet is seriously too weak, I wasn't confident leaving them around my neck.
4-to switch between the 2 DB range is not as simple as you make it show in your video, it's hard to switch while wearing them.
Other than that they are really comfortable and practical, would recommend.

They do exactly as advertised
They do exactly as advertised - even attenuation across the spectrum. I can still hear everything, it’s just quieter. Using other earplugs, I can’t hear the kick drum or the snare (I play drums). With these, I hear everything.

Makes my hears comfortable with sound…
Makes my hears comfortable with sound quality. It's quite impressive that it doesn't cut the audio quality, but prevents my ear to hurt. I'm satisfied with the product, specially given the price - I think it's a good deal.

You changed the design
You changed the design. It was perfect before. The foam ear plugs are now much shorter and are uncomfortable and do not fit my ear canal correctly. I have emailed the company with no response.

Don't fit that well to be honest
Don't fit that well to be honest, in fact don't really fit at all so i haven't used them which is a shame! Put them back in the box and chucked them on the side

Hearing loss is to be avoided!
Some background, my father died of Dementia in 2019 and one of the things that he suffered from was hearing loss associated with his working occupation. Hearing loss is a known marker for developing Dementia in later life and definitely to be avoided.
Recently I've started going to gigs again and recognised that personally I find the music far, far too loud. Last night I went to see Depeche Mode at Twickenham, London, with the support just started the music was way too loud for me to enjoy it. Before leaving I'd syringed my ear canals to get them really clean and experimented with the dBud assortment of ear tips. Opting to go one size large in soft rather than foam which I could not get to feel comfortable. To be honest I was very pessimistic as any reduction whilst listening to the bathroom Radio seemed very minimal.
Well, what a revelation, at the gig I put the dBuds in and on the -24 dB setting they were pretty much perfect. I could still hear everything, whilst remaining completely pain free. I didn't take them out all evening, I did try moving the slider to -12 dB in one ear facing away from the stage but this was still too loud for me.
Leaving the gig and the next day there is no ringing in my ears at all, I can still hear perfectly. After this experience I was frankly amazed I saw hardly anyone else wearing them or any ear protection!
The dBuds seem to reduce the painful parts of the volume so one can still enjoy the music without seemingly missing the experience of listening to a loud stadium concert. I also took some mouldable silicon ear plugs with me just in case but didn't feel the need to use them at all.
I will definitely never go to a concert without them ever again. Perhaps the seal fit could be better in ones ear, but they do seem to work just fine as they are.

I go out clubbing and festivals a lot…
I go out clubbing and festivals a lot and this has been my saviour. No more ringing ears coming back from the rave. I also bought a pair for my Bae who is a DJ (so imagine that the quality of sound is still peng. I also got them for my friend who works at a club, we all love music and can actually hear it better now, more crisp.
Stay safe and rave safe :)
