Predatory Dark Patterns: Fake Cancellation & Hidden Charges
Do not give this company your credit card details under any circumstances. They operate using aggressive, deceptive dark patterns designed to steal your money.
It starts with a classic bait-and-switch: a cheap $1.99 trial that silently auto-renews into a massive $29.99 subscription. But the absolute worst part is their predatory cancellation process. The "Cancel" button is hidden away in a misleading dropdown menu called "Danger Zone." Even worse, after you click cancel and confirm multiple times, they throw a mandatory feedback survey at you. IF YOU CLOSE OR SKIP THIS SURVEY, YOUR CANCELLATION IS SILENTLY ABORTED WITHOUT WARNING. You will think you are safe, but they will charge your card again.
When I realized I was charged $29.99, I contacted their support immediately. I had not used a single credit or generated any content during this new billing cycle. According to their own Refund Policy, a purchase is only "consumed" when credits are used. Despite clearly falling under their refund criteria, their support bot (Ashley) sent a generic copy-paste refusal. When I pointed out their own legal terms and the zero usage on my account, they completely ignored my emails.
This is not a legitimate business; it is an intentional scam designed to trap users in an endless billing loop by making cancellation artificially impossible. Avoid HubX and Davinci AI at all costs.
