Me and my fiancé came in on a slow…

Me and my fiancé came in on a slow night because she was miscarrying our child. We finally got to a room after 3 hours and there were blood specs all over the room. Also in the emergency waiting room it was so many people sick coughing they never wipe done any seats. Patience came and left and seen patience sit in same unsanitary seats. I also saw nurses with there ear pods in there ear the whole time. You can hear nurses complain about there computer screen keep dying.

Thank you Danbury Hospital ER

Thank you to Cynthia, Timothy and Dr. Tenenbaum in the Danbury Hospital ER for their remarkable care. They were extremely thorough and patient in spite of my moments of irritability. We were there from 7:00 pm until around 2:00 am. Long wait? Yes! But my husband received excellent care.
And Timothy was fun, kind attentive and beyond patient!

Finally, thank you to the two fellows who helped us get through the building and to our car!

Hugs from Patti and Michael

GOOD TURNED TO BAD

The part of Danbury Hospital I am reviewing is PRAXAIR CANCER CENTER. I was an employee of PRAXAIR, INC., WORKED WITH THE CEO, CFO, COO, VP’s. WHEN PRAXAIR DONATED $2 million TO BUILD THE EXISTING PRAXAIR CANCER CENTER, I WAS THE ONE WHO WROTE THE CHECKS. AT THAT TIME I DID NOT REALIZE, KNOW THAT I WOULD END UP BEING A PATIENT THERE. I WAS ADVISED TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM WHEN MY BLOOD WORK CAME BACK SAYING I WAS KNOCKING ON DEATH’s DOOR. GOOD DOCTORS ARE 1 IN A MILLION, I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE BEEN SEEN BY ONE IN THE ER. OF COURSE WHAT TRANSPIRED INTO QUITE A LONG STORY WHICH I WILL NOT DELVE INTO. WHEN I WAS ALLOWED TO RETURN HOME FROM YALE NEW HAVEN HOSPITAL, I WAS FOLLOWED BY THE SAME DOCTOR WHO SAW ME IN THE ER FOR A DURATION IF 15 YEARS. AT THE BEGINNING EVERY OTHER DAY, THEN ONCE A WEEK, THEN ONCE A MONTH, FINALLY ONCE EVERY THREE MONTHS FOR THOSE 15 YEARS, THIS WONDERFUL DOCTOR ENDED UP LEAVING PRAXAIR CANCER CENTER, INTERESTINGLY SO DID HIS ENTIRE STAFF. WHAT TRANSPIRED THEREAFTER WAS HORRIFIC. A FEMALE DOCTOR WAS FOLLOWING ME, ROUTINE BLOODWORK. A REPORT CAME BACK FROM A FINGER TEST WHERE I WAS DYING AGAIN. I WAS VERY PUT OUT SINCE FOR 15 YEARS MY PROGRESS HAD STABILIZED AND MY BLOOD REPORT NUMBERS WERE WHERE THEY SHOULD BE. I QUESTIONED THIS DOCTOR, SHE SAID THEY WOULD DRAW BLOOD FROM THE VEIN AND OF COURSE A NORMAL READING. I LEFT THAT DAY, UNNERVED, ANGRY. THAT DOCTOR LEFT DANBURY HOSPITAL. ANOTHER DOCTOR TOOK HER PLACE, WHERE WHEN I HAD MY APPOINTMENT HIS NURSE WAS GOING TO DO A FINGER TEST. I BEGAN ARGUING WITH HER UNTIL SHE SAID SHE WOULD TALK TO THE DOCTOR. SURE ENOUGH BLOOD DRAWN FROM THE VEIN. I LEFT THAT APPOINTMENT FURIOUS. I THEN PAID A VISIT TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER AND QUESTIONED WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH THESE FINGER TESTS. SHE SAID THEY WERE DOING FINGER TESTS ON CHEMO PATIENTS. THAT IS WHEN I LOST IT, I LET HER KNOW IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT I WAS NOT A CHEMO PATIENT, IF ANYONE BOTHERED TO READ THE RECORDS/CHARTS OF THE PATIENTS THEY WOULD HAVE KNOWN I NEVER HAD CHEMO AFTER I LEFT YALE NEW HAVEN HOSPITAL. SHE THEN PROCEEDED TO PUT IN RED IN MY CHART TO DRAW BLOOD FROM THE VEIN, WHICH ACTUALLY WAS NOT NECESSARY AS I GOT ALL MY RECORDS, TESTS, EVERYTHING AND NEVER WENT BACK TO THAT FACILITY. TRIED TO SUE/BRING FORTH A LAWSUIT, MALPRACTICE. THESE DOCTORS DO NOT READ CHARTS, DO NOT CARE, AND YET WANT TO BE REVERED AS OMNIPOTENT. ACTUALLY THEY SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR SCREWING WITH PATIENTS LIVES/HEALTH. A WORD OF ADVICE, WHEN GOING TO BE SEEN BY A DOCTOR, WE PATIENTS KNOW A LOT MORE THAN THEY DO, THEY DO NOT CARE, JUST PRESCRIBE DRUGS TO KEEP US PACIFIED, LIKE PUTTING A PACIFIER IN A BABY’s MOUTH TO SHUT THEM UP. WE PATIENTS SUFFER MORE AT THEIR HANDS THAN DOING ANY GOOD. BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE, DO YOUR RESEARCH, WHEN A DOCTOR PRESCRIBES A DRUG/MEDICATION AND SAYS DO NOT LOOK IT UP ON THE COMPUTER, DO NOT LISTEN AND LOOK IT UP AND DO NOT TAKE THAT DRUG/MEDICATION. LOOK FOR SIDE EFFECTS, OFTEN THESE DRUGS DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD. BE SMARTER THAN THESE DOCTORS WHO ONLY WRITE PRESCRIPTIONS FOR DRUGS AND REALLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENT. ACTUALLY PROBABLY BETTER OFF NOT GOING TO DOCTORS AT ALL. A CO WORKER WENT TO A DOCTOR, THE DOCTOR PRESCRIBED A DRUG AND SAID SHE WOULD NEVER TAKE THAT DRUG. DOCTORS ARE OWNED BY THE PHARMA COMPANIES AND THE PATIENTS ARE THEIR TESTS. WHY DO THEY BECOME DOCTORS IN THE FIRST PLACE??
