Horrible service

Horrible service. My account is simply frozen. I can't get it to work and still no help from support. I can't place my add and I lost so much time and nerves. I'm looking for alternative places to advertise now.

I've been using Daft regularly whilst searching for a house to rent in Dublin South. The app itself works well and is easy to use, hence the 4 stars.

However, the estate agents are largely lazy and incompetent. Around 8 out of 10 enquiries go completely unanswered. We're looking at properties that stay on the market for 1-3 months, yet agents still don't bother responding.

The app does its job, but expect poor communication from most estate agents on the platform.

Impossibly bad customer service!!

This Company has got to deserve an award for the worst customer service of all time. They have no telephone contact possibility and do not reply to email queries. In my particular case, as a Landlord I have been trying to place an Advertisement using Visa. I have tried several cards and there is an issue with 'Daft'!! not requesting the card Issuer to provide a push notification. AIB have verified this to me this morning. I have tried several cards and the issue persists and Daft will no longer take another card. They have no phone contact number and have not responded to emails sent. Very frustrating and as a Landlord totally unsatisfactory. Does their domination of the Marketplace give them the ability to ignore their customer base.
This is far from the first bad experience I have had with this Company. Unfortunately they do not deserve even a single star rating. In my experience Companies which behave in this manner inevitably fall on their own sword!!
'Daft' indeed!!!

I have to write this review

I have to write this review as balance. I have used the site for 10 years now and it is a superb site. The listings are by individual Estate Agents and errors should be addressed to them. I reported a problem with an advertiser directly to the M.D and received a reply within hours. The matter was rectified within 4 days and that shows the company is led by a person with good business ethics and a customer service focus. Excellent!

The hits are fake

The hits are fake. I complained several times about my Advert on my home sale, being inaccurate. They took so long to investigate the glitch but it continued. I couldn’t monitor the true activity on my live ad as it could vary by 200 hits plus/minus. But they push their website based on hits. Fraudulent advertising. Had to freeze my ad, but still got nothing back from them. Would not recommend at all. No one to speak with and go through the numerous snapshots to explain why it also showed the wrong location. How can you monitor your advert, if the feedback isn’t accurate.

Totally misleading buyers

The listing of properties for sale is a joke. A parking space is being listed as a home for sale and even after reporting it nothing has been done to rectify the issue.

Several flat pack homes which are not fixed homes and shouldn't be listed as houses for sale as you have to have your own site etc so again misleading and false postings.

Properties being listed for sale that are Mica infected and some agents are being sneaky and saying cash buyers only instead of reporting the house is infected. Again these should not be listed as homes as all they are is a site at this point due to defective bricks

Finally, sick of the amount of properties that have tenants in situe and listing as house for sale. Totally misleading and usually buried in the ad rather than being upfront with buyers. These properties should be listed as investment properties not residential properties.

Do better DAFT.

Why house renters don't contact you - they can't

When you enquire about a place to rent/share but don't hear back from the person who placed the ad it seems to be that Daft have tightened their security measures but neglected to inform their users. Those who advertise a place as available can no longer contact those who enquire (like we used to be able to do.) When I asked Daft about this issue, they said that it is the person's choice to include contact details in their enquiry or not. I put a note in my description box explaining that their email address must be included in the BODY of their query for me to contact them. Almost no one is reading the description. Of the hundreds who ask to see the place, I have only been able to reach the 7 or so people who read my description and included their contact details.

most of the sale advertisements are "sale agreed" or "sold"...

Draft website is very useful for the public, but now a days, Most of the for sale advertisements are "sale agreed" or "sold". still it display as "for sale" !!. Request to the site developer who created this platform with good intentions, "If they could also have a mechanism to verify and update current status of advertisement to ensure the genuineness", so that it may helpful to the user to avoid unwanted emails and phone calls.

The price to place an ad on daft.ie

The price to place an ad on daft.ie, for which I paid 209 euros, is ridiculously high. The website often glitches. After paying for my advertisement, Daft sends fake messages claiming people are interested in renting the property. When I schedule viewings, they often say they might need the property in two weeks. Additionally, errors frequently occur when trying to update my listing on Daft. The service is absolutely disgraceful. For the amount I paid, this site barely functions, lacking any real service. It's a shame for such a company.
