went through payment page paid through paypal and used my visa no email comfirming order £339.90 taken out of my account they say they have no order for me so upset!!!!!!!!

Very poor customer service. I have asked them to communicate in English and am ignored. I have had several issues with their product and these stay unresolved.

Good product is let down by poor aftercare. The dishwasher works well and I use it a lot. I used to use it by filling it manually and that parts quite poorly designed as it’s hard to not make the water spill out. It’s much better when plumbed in which was easy to do myself. I have tried a few times to reach out to their tech support on Twitter and in email and I never heard back. The software seems to have problems and sometimes I have to reset the dishwasher fully at the mains and turn it back on. The other day the screen wasn’t coming on at all and I thought it might be broken but eventually it came back. At times like this (and with their 5 year warranty) I would expect Daan tech to reply to me. But they never have. It’s very sad because what could be a great review has been ruined by their poor service.

Worth noting that we ordered our Bob washing machine at the very start of production, for delivery in November / December 2021. The service was a bit hit and miss if you have issues - we were not notified that our Bob had been dispatched and were surprised to see it arrive at our doorstep not soon after (despite being informed this was a pre-order).

That aside, the one issue that hasn't been resolved each time I've asked the post-sales team, is how they intend to make the cartridge recycling system work for customers outside of France. It's a great concept - but I was surprised on contacting them on the arrival of our Bob, that the recycling system wouldn't work for us in the UK. This was one of the factors we took into account when purchasing Bob and I asked the team to rectify their Q&A on the UK website as the information was misleading.

We haven't had many issues since then and when we'e had to contact the post-sales team they usually respond in good time. We wanted to support the concept and I guess as a small, new, business, things can sometimes go wrong!

Ordered replacement cartridges in December 2020, never received them.

First class service, delivered ahead of time, in tip top condition.

Brilliant little dishwasher!

I use my Bob on a daily basis and it always gets my crockery and glasses clean, and leaves a brilliant shine. The number of wash programmes is sufficient for all my needs and I like how it provides information on how much water I have saved throughout my ownership of the machine. Wash cycle times are very good, and I think it washes as well (if not better) than machines manufactured by bigger brands. The small-but-tall design means it fits my kitchen very well, and the manual fill mode means I don't have any additional plumbing needs - I fill it by jug and it empties into the sink. Ideal!

I do think the Daan Tech detergent isn't necessarily suitable for hard water areas - I have tried both the auto-injection and tablette detergents and both leave a white chalky residue on my dishes. Not a disaster as you can use other brands, but I miss not having the auto-injection option as I really like the concept. There is also no guidance on how to descale the built-in water tank. I would also like to see a timer function added to the firmware - this exists physically on Bob Minimalist but not on the model I've purchased.

Those minor negatives aside, I would strongly recommend Bob for those without the space/plumbing for a full-size/half-size dishwasher. Particularly good for those in rental accommodations.

Works well dishes nice and clean ,had the odd time when something not cleaned properly, but that was down to how I loaded the dishwasher and had the same issue now and again with my regular size dishwaher when I had one ,nothing to do with Bob's performance at all ,which I can only highly recommend
So pleased I got my Bob cannot recommend this disheasher enough if you short of space and cannot have a regular size dishwasher, then get a Bob you wont be disappointed

Got my Bob dishwasher yesterday after reading a few reviews was worried I had done the right thing buying Bob ,some said it did not clean dishes waste of money ,I have a very small kitchen and no room for a full size dishwasher looked at a few mini dishwashers and my plates would not fit , Bob looked to be the answer as it took 11.5 high plates which mine are , it's taller than other mini dishwashers but not as wide so took up less surface space
Loaded Bob up set it to the 20 minute cycle and waited and so happy all my dishes came out sparkling clean and loved the way the door opens at the end for the drying cycle and it's easy to fill with water took no time at so wont be plumbing it in ,yes it is a lot of money for the size of the dishwasher and if I could have got a normal size dishwasher I would , but as I put no room at all for one and I was so fed up washing up ,it may mean after Sunday lunch I got to run it couple of times but that over all the washing up no contest
Daan tech kept me updated all the way through and even answered the couple of questions I sent them quickly regarding Bob
I won't be using their products as with living in the UK the cost of import tax on top as well makes the product expensive compared to what i can buy here and I have read up on what other people use so will be going with that
The only concern I have is if Bob goes wrong and dealing with Daan tech over email ,as I have read some reviews and this has been an issue , but will have to cross that bridge when or if it happens
Bob may not be for everyone but I am glad I got Bob and Bob has a forever home

I have had my Bob for just over three weeks and still impressed every wash the dishes come out clean and perfectly dried I am so Impressed with my Bob ,I have not had one wash with food still left on my dishes
I got the minimalist version in white looks very stylish in my kitchen was not bothered about all the extra bits ie coloured front ,wifi ,etc ,etc
I definatly recommend Bob for me it has been the perfect solution to having no space for a normal size dishwasher

Elise in customer service is excellent and helpful offering advice and help if needed. Communication is excellent and the dishwasher is as cute as it can be - practical but with that French style

when I have had issues, there is always a friendly helpful response in a short time. Aim is always to help to solve an issue Shame in UK where now rather large costs involved in working with them.

Dan tech advertise that they will pay import duty back after buying a product, it’s on the web site , sadly this isn’t the case , purchased a Bob dishwasher , DPD charged me £86 duty , they refused to pay , didn’t get a reply to any email after that , very poor

Thank you for your comments, it’s not clear at all and still feel this is really misleading.

However……..the only thing I think that redeems you is that Bob is amazing, I’m not disappointed with any part . Shame they are not more readily available in the uk . Excellent.

Quick response and good service
They responded quickly to my questions and were able to offer me solutions despite some of the issues being outside their control. They are clearly a thoughtful and proactive company and exactly what should be encouraged in a buisness.

Amazingly fast shipping (claimed would be shipped in a few weeks, was shipped in a few days and recieved a few later).

I've had a number of problems with DHL in the past, but I don't think it's fair to blame Daan Tech for that. If I didn't think that the product could have been posted through the letterbox (or picked up at a store - as the actual washing machine couldn't) - I would have asked if I could have paid more for shipping if it went through a better service.

Love the dishwasher, but find I have to put 1/3 of a tablet with the cassette for a wash, without dishes being smeared.

I treated myself to one of their dishwashers, Bob, about a year ago from now. I have been really happy with the device as well as with the customer service, who replaced a tiny bit that broke in transport without more ado.

In general I am very pleased with “Bob”, the dishwasher, and the principles behind its manufacture.
However, the main problem I experience is that cassettes providing the washing agents are not particularly effective. My initial reaction was, therefore, one of disappointment.
If I include a dishwasher capsule (in my case “Fairy Platinum Plus”) the results are superb.

We are very pleased with the quality, practicality, design of Bob the mini-dishwasher, it is saving us so much time and the dishes are very clean with the Bob cassettes, however we need to lightly scrub the mugs tea stains beforehand, because they are not entirely removed after the daily cycle. Overall, Bob is very good and so easy to use particularly with the cassettes. The small negative point is the time that it takes to fill in Bob with the carafe, but we have worked it out to do in different times not at once, because it can feel slightly lengthy to do so.
