So wonderful to hear from such an old customer! I'm the director of the company and wanted to leave a reply here to personally say thank you!

Very good company

Cyclotricity have been really great in getting my bike converted to an ebike, Elaine has been incredibly helpful throughout the journey and very responsive. She's created custom payment links when I've had issues and organised fast delivery too.

Her emails are very lovely to read!

I recommend the company, I had some issues with some things not being well documented but found solutions online and in youtube videos - it's a good idea to get to grips with how ebike work and what you need before putting one together.

Pretty awful really.

Awful customer service, a good friend has been having trouble with this company after ordering and they appeared to have ghosted him after paying nearly £400 for a kit.
So today I thought I'd try to contact them just incase it was simply an IT problem and easily explained, but lo and behold I get a reply in 12 minutes using the same contact details my friend used, poor show really.
So now the kit has arrived with my friend, he says things seemed to have changed overnight and Connor is now being really helpful so I'm adjusting this a few stars because the poor service is from one employee now it seems.
No idea why she ghosted my friend, it just seems that it was easier than doing her job right sadly.
So take your chances and hope you get the right person to help or be prepared for battle, I'm not sure I would to be fair, there's plenty of other places to get similar kits these days.

Updated today 3rd March, have spoken to my friend over the weekend and the electric wheel is buckled and unusable.

Now having seen how this works I would never use them, they've taken his money, sent him a load of cheap Chinese components and not even bothered to check the items to see if they're any good before sending them.
Absolutely laughable rubbish company.

Replaced faulty LCD free & quickly

The person who adapted my bicycle has been liaising with Cyclotricity on my behalf. Between him and Elaine and sending in videos/photos of my issues, Cyclotricity eventually, once they decided my LCD panel was to be replaced free of charge, I received it very quickly and in working order. A very happy customer!

A poor start with a bit of good and back to poor.

So this started off great, five star treatment until I ordered and it went downhill somewhat, I was told before ordering that delivery was 2 to 5 days, fair enough, but when the website account page wasn't updated from processing after 4 days I messaged to ask what was going on, got told DHL had collected the kit two days before, given a tracking number and to wait another 2 to 5 days. Upon checking the DHL tracking number it told me delivery was supposed to be for the day before I questioned the lack of info. I queried this with DHL, to be told they didn't have the parcels and there was a problem with cyclotricity and to contact them again.
Now I'm a bit annoyed, I've feel like I've been told a pack of lies so I email again, Elaine appears to be more bothered that I've left a poor review here than finding out how to fix the problem. I then complain asking what is happening, I know it hadn't actually left and Elaine says they're trying to find out why, and that was the last I heard from Elaine.
Later in the afternoon after many attempts to find out what was happening from Elaine who is now absolutely ignoring me, I get a text message from Connor asking to call, I wanted everything in writing so I asked to email, a few messages ensued, resulting in being told he didn't have access to his emails because he wasn't at work that day. Then later he has found out that the mechanic who builds the kits wasn't in all week but had built it up on Friday ready to leave 11am Monday which he'll make sure of for me.
11.30 Monday I ask if there's news and for a tracking number if so, all messages are read with no reply.
I ask again, no reply until 12 o'clock, told he had no news at the time, so much for making sure it goes at 11 eh?
12.55 Connor messages that the courier is apparently picking it up in an hour, but still doesn't have tracking details.
Then no replies for the rest of the afternoon until about 17.30, where he gives me the tracking details and finally it's on the way!!

Today though Connor is on the ball, like a different person to the last few days, replies to messages promptly, asks if everything is ok, even explains what's where in the parcels etc and asks if there's anything else I need help with, I thank him for this too.
The kit arrives and the wheel isn't packaged very well and the end of the wiring for the powered wheel is poking out of the box and is slightly damaged, the rest of the kit is loosely dropped into a large box, but has arrived without visible damage, I message and again Connor is helpful asking for further pics etc, and later this evening has asked again about discussing the wheel damage with him on the next working day, this is from his own phone in his own time again.
Overall, now it's arrived, I'm ok with the help Connor has now offered, I've not fitted any of the kit at the time of writing this, so hopefully all will be ok once it's assembled.

Wish me luck!

Ok, it's been a week or so now, turns out the kit only fits fairly modern 26 inch bike forks so I've been waiting to find something it fits, anyway, the kit has now been fitted, trouble is the wheel is buckled to the point I can't use the kit because the brake blocks either rub the tyre or the inner part of the wheel rim that isn't supposed to be used to brake on.
Have sent videos showing the problem, now waiting for a replacement wheel.

Edited 27th march 2025
So the new wheel arrived, I swapped the tyre over, all appeared to be ok initially, seemed true enough. Took the bike for a test ride and there's a strange creaking noise from the new wheel.
A little investigation turned up that almost all of the spokes were loose, some of them loose enough to turn the nipples with simply finger pressure.
I've given up with cyclotricity's customer service and lack of quality parts now, I've tightened the spokes myself and trued the wheel and it's now ok but as a second wheel replaced under warranty this should never have happened.
The kit works well enough, it's easy to use now and I'll just use it until it wears out.
I wanted to convert another bike for more road use but this time I went to Swytch, the customer service from them has been excellent, the instructions are clear and simple, everything has arrived in good condition, all usable straight out of the box and it was just £20 more than cyclotricity's pretty low quality kit with all the "made in china" labels that it came with. Wish I'd done this for the first time.
There's a lot of new 5 star reviews appeared recently, most of them from people with only 1 or two reviews to their name, seems pretty suspicious to me judging by my own experience.

Fast response to question via email

I reviewed these guys about 3 years ago and back the service was awful.

I Emailed them again today, and they responded very quickly, but then again my ask wasn't particularly challenging.

Giving them 4 stars for the prompt response.

Horrible After Sale Service

The last month or so has been miserable dealing with their support team. I was satisfied with the initial purchase and use of the bike but had always suspected that I was supplied with a defective battery when I purchased the bike in Sept 2023. Now there is a serious problem as just when the battery discharges a little, the system switches off. I have been writing tons of email, did everything that was suggested in the first couple of emails but it did not solve the problem. Then they have just stopped responding to the emails completely. You can never reach them by phone, hundreds of attempts have been made. Absolutely horrendous. All the emails and phones calls go to a black hole. If I could rate them with a 'zero' star I would.

250w front drive kit

I bought a 250w front drive kit, with lcd , pas and rack battery, which was great value. Relatively straightforward to fit, just needed to file the front forks slightly for clearance. Bike runs great. 250w is ample for my wife. It easily does 25km/h . Great support front Elaine via email. Highly recommend

Good value for money

Firstly, the bike is very good value for money, if you are competent, buy it part assembled and complete it yourself and save £100's!
After placing the order I was concerned about their lack of communication - apparently due to moving premises but the bike arrived unexpectedly whilst I was trying to establish a delivery date.
On assembly there was 1 issue where the motor link cable was too short but after an email to Elaine, the correct 1 was sent via DHL her response is excellent!!
I upgraded to hydraulic brakes which work very well + the motor take-up is very smooth. I've only ridden a couple of miles just to test it & haven't yet opened it up to it's full power. So far I'm impressed with it - and the best bit? It's built in the UK - Yippee!!!

My order for a conversion kit was delayed for quite some time but Elaine was able to keep in touch and update me on the status and was willing to answer and queries I had. Overall great service but unfortunately was waiting for 2 months which brings the rating down slightly

Cyclotricity response to minor query.

Very rapid and helpful reply regarding a minor query. I have the mid-drive motor fitted to a folding bike. So far have done around 500 miles. The motor has been reliable with a smooth power delivery. So far, I have been very pleased with both the service from Cyclotricity and the motor kit itself.

So I'm adding to my previous review.

So I'm adding to my previous review.
I have now assembled my bike and have had the chance to take it out. I have to say it is brilliant, I was concerned that it may be difficult and heavy to cycle unless you used the pedal assist function (I didn't want to have to use pedal assist all the time) however this bike is so easy to pedal as it is, when you do use the pedal assist it glides along like a dream. I also have the throttle and boy when you push this you are off. I would highly recommend the Stealth bike, it is brilliant.

I have had a few techical questions to ask along the way and each time Rami has been super helpful, encouraging and answered them quickly.

Highly, highly recommend Cyclotricity 👌

Reasonable kit so far, poor information and lousy website

The central drive kit I've bought was delivered quickly, seems to work well so far, with a clear display, simple controls, and fairly straightforward installation, and I'm please with it so far.
There are a few areas for improvement, though. I asked what make the motor was, and wasn't told, and indeed it's badged Cyclotricity - but is actually a Tongsheng. There is an installation leaflet for the motor itself included (which was actually for a 73 mm bottom bracket, though 68 mm is more common and what I have). The leaflet differs slightly from the online video from the manufacturer. There is very little other information available - the manual for the display and controls is 8 years old and doesn't relate very well to the current product, and the battery information is limited to what's on the battery itself. Do the batteries still need conditioning? (most don't nowadays).
Elaine has been prompt and helpful with queries, but wouldn't have been so busy if the website had been adequate. A modern business would inform potential customers more fully with an up-to-date website with links that work (rather than direct me to a page in Swedish when I clicked on a heading to see what videos were available!)
