My favourite independent London fashion brands

I’ve ordered from CY Boutique several times now and every piece has been beautifully unique. Their dresses have a very artistic, boutique feel that you don’t usually find on the high street. The pleated fabrics and prints are especially stunning in person.

I also really appreciate that many of their styles are designed to be loose, elegant, and comfortable rather than overly tight fitting. Perfect for holidays, events, and occasions where you want something different.

Don't get conned with this website as…

Don't get conned with this website as the photos of dresses, clothes look so nice online and then when they turn up absolutely the cheapest rubbish and nothing like what the photo shows. Very slow on refunds and then have to pay the return. Don't go anywhere near them

Everything went wrong!

Everything went wrong!! Nearly three months after ordering the dress for my Daughters Wedding....And after a couple of pathetic 'sorry's' after two delivery dates were given to me. I got a 'BUT', we'll send you an extra gift when ever it arrives to us......OMG!
I realised that they are scammers. I believe the dress that I purchased from them, was never stocked by them. Which is ok. BUT No communition instageted by them at all!! Only from myside. I requested refund last week. Got it! And I ran for the hills.... Shameful company. Be warned ⚠️

Appalling service - AVOID

Appalling service . I emailed to ask how to return an item and did not get any response.
When the company have responded to me their tone is rude and very unhelpful. I returned an item to them at a very busy time of year - just before Christmas and every item has been received back by each retailer.
Funnily enough , this company are stating they haven’t received the item back and I cannot recall if I returned it by Royal Mail or Evri. I’m left hunting for any evidence I can that I sent this dress back whilst the company’s response is only ‘ Customers should keep all these records and receipts’
Very unhelpful and very rude. I would avoid using this company and can catergorically state all the previous reviews are correct and genuine . They are a scam company who will choose to keep your money if the situation arises- which it has.
Avoid- I will be reporting them to trading standards

Buyer Beware!!!

If there was anything less than a zero it would still be too good for this scam of a company.

I ordered a faux fur gilet on Silkfred, had only worn it twice and it wouldn’t stop shedding of which I mean fibres everywhere all over my bedroom.

The quality of the jacket and fibres was so cheap that it exacerbated my tonsillitis because bits of fibres kept getting stuck in my throat and it got irritated. I was sick for about a week.

Nothing I did would make it stop shedding, took it outside and tried to shake off the fibres; it still kept shedding then I ran over it with almost half a lint brush to collect the fibres and it still wouldn’t stop shedding.

So I emailed Silkfred, they emailed back that CY asks that I return the item, which I did and was still within the 28 days returns policy

Silkfred also emailed that CY could either offer me a refund or exchange. I opted for an exchange because I actually only just needed it to run errands with and had assumed it was probably loose threads.

It took CY over 10 days to respond and in that time i found something better at Reiss and mentioned that I would prefer a refund, since no item has been sent to me and I no longer wished to accept.

I called CY and a rude woman with no customer service or telephone training whatsoever answered and had the audacity to tell me that because I ran over it with a lint brush a refund can not be issued. More like day light robbery

(CY when you answer the phone the first thing to do is exchange pleasantries with your customers not say mmm hmm. I don’t work for you).

Don’t waste your time and your money. I wish I had done my research first off because the lady who wrote the previous review is spot on.

Once they have your money they will never give a refund. Absolute thievery.

Fast fashion to be avoided

Ordered a dress from them via the Silkfred platform for a wedding. Returned the item unworn having only been tried on at home. I could tell right away the quality was not great. I didn’t hear back on a refund for weeks, when I finally followed up with Silkfred (which required numerous tweets and effort - see separate 1* review) I was informed I wouldn’t get a refund as the item was damaged. No one wrote to me in advance of my own enquiries, the item was just posted back without a word whilst I was on holiday. Having now collected the item, I am shocked to see the size
of the tear in the garment - I would not have wasted my time and effort sending something back in that condition. If there was a small tear at the seams from trying it on, I could have had it repaired, but honestly it looks like *someone’s* made it rather a lot worse after my complaints to the platform. The fabric is completely frayed, so unsalvageable. Either way, it says a lot about the supposed quality of garments if the entire bodice is torn to shreds after one 5 minute fitting! Their website claim that items can be worn for multiple seasons are damn right scandalous!! Best avoided, save your money for better quality items and honest service.
