OK but expensive and not willing to price match
I was a long-term ZenMate user until they moved over to CyberGhost a few years back. When my renewal was due, unfortunately their new offer was not worth staying and I moved elsewhere for a cheaper, similarly featureful and stable VPN. They were not willing to price match or keep my loyalty of almost 8 years. Very unfortunate but just the way it is I guess.

Cyberghost can't work on streaming…
Cyberghost can't work on streaming sites (Netflix etc) : IP are blecked by thoses sites.
It's less easy than Nord VPN to choose a server.

Shady company
Been with CyberGhost for 3 years and as a service they have been fine. However be very careful with their misleading renewal communications and advertising. My original subscription was buy 1 year and get an additional year free (2years). When it came to renewal it offers the same again, so I went with it expecting another 2 years. A year later it’s charging me again and after clarification they are saying the free year only applies to the first term. No reason as to why the receipt still states 2 years. Very misleading practice. I won’t be renewing.
Response: I have already reached out to customer support and got nowhere.

Worked fine for a couple of months and…
Worked fine for a couple of months and then the app on my MacBook Pro just stopped responding. Yes, my software was up to date, yes, my internet connection was working. No, I didn’t have any other memory-sucking apps running. Support was also terrible. Asking me incredibly difficult questions about memory usage etc (which I provided). All I can say is your app sucks on Mac iOS Ventura. I’ve been generous with the 3 stars because I know there are so many variables. Giving you guys the benefit of the doubt.

1) many websites are aware it's a VPN and block it.
2) My main bother: favourites are not kept and new log-ins always bring up the US, France and Germany. Why did you chose these (many people ouyside America try to avoid specifically the US)and why does my favourite not stay there (Melbourne)?

Auto Renew Cannot Be Turned Off
So, I changed the Auto renew to Off, checked back an it was on again, spent ages on the Chat function making sure the Auto renew was off and I was not going to renew. Couple of weeks later I gat an email telling me My account was going to be renewed, I could cancel but wouldn't get the subscription back.
These people are totally unscrupulous, get their fingers in your pocket and even the fluff is gone. Doesn't matter how often you turn the auto renew function off it will be turned back on.

And even though they use BOT but the logic is make sense, in a way when the issue needed human the BOT immediately redirect it to human instead of looping around with BOT. This is make a great user experience for me
