Really off-putting customer service and deceptive subscription
I think the concept is a great idea, but the company is surprisingly difficult to deal with. I tried to order tretinoin, but was told I wasn't a candidate for tretinoin due to the fact that I'm breast feeding (which is fine—I understand). I was then shipped a different product that I did not order, and put on a subscription plan without my knowledge or consent. I then randomly received a $102 charge from Curology a few days ago. I emailed them, and didn't hear back. In the meantime, they shipped an entire suite of products, which I don't want or need. They won't refund or even work with me on this, and their customer service is strangely impersonal. Each message is from "the Curology team,"—so you're never talking to an actual single person. Anyway, they seem like a great idea and maybe they're stretched too thin to have better service.

My skin got worse using curology
My skin got worse using curology. Nor do they send out reminders on your upcoming order incase you need to push it back or change it. So be prepared to pay for whatever is in your cart whenever it is. They don’t offer refunds either, so you’re just out of luck and money.

Canceled subscription and was charged anyways
I canceled my subscription and reviewed my entire account beforehand. I did so to make sure there wouldn’t be any issues,anything outstanding or shipments being fulfilled. The next day I received an email and was charged for a subscription that I had canceled. This company is useless towards their clients because they utilize AI rather than having real customer service for interactions. It was of no help and I was charged money for something I was no longer subscribed to. Be careful with this company. It gives off scam when one cancels a service but still gets charged for an item that wasn’t wanted.

Curology reaching out to my review after the fact of what happened when I reached out via text on the 4th of Sep.
There is not an option on the AI text chat to interface with a real life person. I have my text receipts from the Curology AI stating ‘I understand how that could be confusing. For future reference, it's important to note that cancelling your subscription won't automatically cancel any orders that have already been processed. However, it will prevent any new orders from being placed.’
I had checked to make sure nothing was being processed. I triple checked to make sure nothing was being processed, shipped etc because I didn’t want to have anymore product because it is expensive. I didn’t like how I had canceled and the next day, I get an email of an order being processed. Honestly, it would be cheaper for me to see a derm and just pay for a prescription. I’m not happy, obviously but remember, my review is my own encounter with this company. Everyone else has their own unique experience. I would just be careful with the tempting trial offer. Be sure to cancel thoroughly if that’s all you want. Get a receipt by email or text that you canceled your subscription. Costly lesson learned.

I requested a refund for a product that I refused because I was unaware that I even had a subscription and they refused to give me a refund and since I don't have the product that was sent back, they got $89.90 from me for free. They sent me an email saying they don't do refunds but I when I went on the website, this statement was dated 7/3/2024. I requested a refund back in June. Customer service is horrible and I will never trust a company who takes from it's customers.

Beware of trial kits!
Beware o trial kits! I recently ordered a trial size kit and was automatically enrolled into a subscription. The problem is, I was never informed how much the full size kit would cost me. Moreover, this kind of subscription service usually alerts you before the next charge, to give you a chance to pause, customize or cancel. I never received any alert, nor an option to customize my order.
I questioned C.S why I wasn't sent an alert and was told it was because of messaging rates. Well, how about an email? It is free. I would rather pay the cost of messaging than the cost of these products!
I didn't even find an option to cancel subscription when managing my profile. I feel like I've been scammed out of $94 dollars. This is not a transparent company, they should be ashamed of these business practices.

I started my prescriptions and they were working well. I stopped using the services for some time so I had to re upload pictures, and they offered me a different prescription, I asked questions concerning my doubts and they kindly explained to me why the new medication is better and also had another doctor come in to verify. In the end of the discussion they told me it was up to me if I wanted to go to my original prescription.
