Cupra formentor 2024

My car Cupra Forementor 2023 . I thought I was getting a good car, but have now been told these are first generation so there are constant problems. since purchasing my car it has been in the garage 8 times , twice having the engine taken out of it. The problem are all car related and covered under warranty but still leaves the cost of having to take the car to the garage and collect it. While being in the garage you are still paying for the loan, insurance and motor tax. The car after only 1000km had an oil sump replaced as the oil light came up on the engine. The whole computer system is so high spec it cannot handle the small changes so you can get it calling the sos and not letting you into the radio. It can just block that you are sitting on the side of the road for 10 minutes and the car wont move. The engine had to be taken out as there was a bolt in the steering needing changing so engine out frame dropped and then put back. In this it also made the car a bit different as everything had to be reconnected. The second time the engine was taken out as there was oil all over it from leak in the top of the engine. So engine had to be completely taken out to be cleaned . The car is more computer than car and really so many small issues it will need ironing out maybe a good car in the future but not now. The dealership were no help and after I said about trade in they wanted so much money to get another car I just gave up and handed the car back.I only hope they sort some of the issues before the next person buys it.

Not recommended

I’m the owner for CUPRA Leon 2023
I would not recommended to buy one of this car:
A lot of cheap components, media car working with a lot of problems, noise inside the car from parts of car you can hear when you drive, noise from outside you can hear, engine running good, sound from media is under expectation…
Anyway, i would not recommend to buy Leon VZ1
I don’t know how is other series but VZ1 is a big ballon!!!
Even the doors is not fixed like should be
In the future i will stay away from them !

Waiting time for spare parts

In general happy with the car itself but everything connected to repairs is unacceptable.
Extremely long waiting time for spare parts, been waiting for a side mirror for more then 1 month, and still no estimate on when it will be available..

Stay away from this brand of car

I purchased cupra formemtor new in Jan 24.
Since then I have had a number of problems
With the car, the breaking system, and hill
Assist.
The. Vehicle also flashes up numerous warning
Lights.

More worrying is that the car on the road
Cost was £34,000.

I have been very disappointed with the car
And have recently tried to sale the car, or trade
The vehicle in.

The best price I have been offered is £23,375
I except when you drive a new car off the garage for court there is going to be a drop in valuation.
I would add the car has only done 2.000 miles,

And has a v2 spec.

But this drop is the worst I have ever experienced.

I have had communication with the dealership
And cupra customer services.
All of my concerns fell on deaf ears.

My advise is stay away from this brand.

VW Cupra Seat shocking company go elsewhere

Do not under any circumstance by a car from this company the customer service team is the most incompetent I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, and as a result of their inability to arrange a simple collection of my car a drop off of a courtesy car they have now left me with no vehicle I will never buy a car from Cupa/Seat or VW again

Don't be a beta tester for Cupra!

Cupra Born owner. Sadly anyone who has purchased one of these vehicles has essentially paid to beta test a product which isn't fit for market yet. The infotainment system is well known to be terrible - laggy, often doesn't recognise android auto at all, total nonsense information sent to the app about range. The app is utterly useless. Then today to cap it off the car totally refused to charge - power line communication error. Less than 18 months old and stranded 150 miles from home waiting for recovery.

Don't buy a Cupra EV for a few years yet. They need to invest a lot of time sorting the issues. Don't be a guinea pig!
