They want ever increasing amounts of money each time you do a task (40/40) so you have to keep feeding the system with money. So it wants $1200 to complete the last one (39/40) and then keeps your money.

The same happend to me they take your money and give you all the rubbish about how you need to complete task to get money back however they do not let you complete the task unless you give then a big bunch of money recomend you to go and borrow money I've lost 5500 informed the action fraud.

This is a crypto scam and I got burned but stopped digging before it was disastrous.
They will ask you to deposit ever larger amounts, they will set up a group with other people promising that you can get higher rewards. If you reach the limit they will suggest you borrow from friends and family.
But the amounts you need to deposit will get higher and higher and you will never reach the goal.
And then they will say you can't have the money back because you didn't complete the task.
