The Colosseum tour with the Forum afterwards is an absolute must. Our guide Jan was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned so much during our wonderful morning with him. He goes above and beyond to teach you about his wonderful city’s history. I cannot recommend him and this company enough. The whole booking, checking in process was smooth too. Very very good and book them and enjoy. And learn a lot!

We were there at 7.30 for an 8am Tour. The guide arrived late, he then tried to find our place in the queue, we had to move backwards and forwards to find our place in the queue, 9am when our tour actually started. We had our ear phones in while he coughed and spluttered and get trying to clear his throat- disgusting. We almost ran through the museum and the biggest disappointment, we were rushed through the Sistine Chapel with only a few short minutes, on to the Basilica and the guide spoke for a little while and took his leave of us but we did have whatever time we needed here. I did contact Crown Tours to let them know, they apologised that it had not reached our expectations!!!!We had paid a lot for the tickets but the complaint is not about money, it’s about us being early with the rest of the group, the guide being late and we being rushed through the museum and the Sistine Chapel, would not recommend Crowntours

Auful , we were booked on the 1:30 tour and have proof of this on a texted confirmation, however when we arrived we were told we should of come at 10:30 and the 1:30 was fully booked. So we did not have the tour or a refund . Staff were rude and ruined our holiday. Disgraceful. I would avoid this company at all costs, you have been warned.

Two days before tour we were informed there will be no tour and guide can’t do any other time that day. They would only give us usual official tickets and we have to go visit ourselves, and they will give partial refund. Three times we asked how much the refund will be but they were very vague and didn’t give us the amount. We paid around 140 euro for this, and eventually received a refund of 35 euro for „guided tour” part. The official tickets they gave us cost 24 euro per person, so 48 euro for two. We overpaid by two times for nothing and they didn’t agree to give any more refund saying that’s it’s fees for guiding and coordination (none of which happened) and operational costs (over 50 euro??). Avoid this company at all costs. A waste of time and money and huge disappointment, we really wanted to have a guide for such an important piece of Rome’s history, and we didn’t even get an adequate refund.

I booked the Colosseum Underground Tour with Crown Tours through GetYourGuide, and it was completely worth it. I had visited the Colosseum before, even with other companies, but this time felt truly different and special.

The group was small, which made it easy to interact with our guide and ask questions. He was a local Roman, very knowledgeable, and spoke great English. Exploring the tunnels where gladiators once prepared for battle was absolutely thrilling.

The price was a little higher than average, but the quality of service made it worth every cent. From the smooth check-in to the professional guide, everything felt well-organized and personal.

Their mobile app was another big highlight. It had incredible 3D VR images showing how Ancient Rome looked, and I used it afterward to explore the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill on my own. It even included a fun Roman food guide that helped me find great places to eat nearby.

As a photographer, I loved doing the morning tour because the light was beautiful and the weather was cool, which made the experience even better.

I highly recommend Crown Tours to anyone visiting Rome. If you want a small group, great guides, and an experience that makes history come alive, this is the one to book.

We had an amazing tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with our guide, Andy. He was incredibly informative and made the entire experience so enjoyable. Andy’s knowledge of Roman history was impressive, and the way he described everything brought the ancient ruins to life. We learned so much and had a fantastic time — thank you, Andy, for making the tour unforgettable!
