I used to go to the Crown Casino in…

I used to go to the Crown Casino in Melbourne a lot. However, since being taken over by Blackstone, they have lost their way. It's as if they see things through the eyes of accountants, whereas it's the bigger picture of attracting patrons from the suburbs for the overall experience. They have closed down restaurants and bars. (West End, for example). Margos is another example. It used to be booming 24/7, then they did everything they could to reduce patronage. It may not have made a profit, but it was always a convenient place for the patrons. The casino is a shadow of its former self, and that seems to be reflected in the patronage. The staff, too. Previously, they were friendly, great people. They don't say so, but you get the feeling they intensely dislike the way the new owners are running the place. Plus, Blacksone has become unbelievably greedy. Three zeros on roulette, for example. ( You are going to get the money anyway, you clowns) Also, at one stage, they made it a minimum of $10 on rapid roulette, which is the reason I stopped going there. I wanted to enjoy the game. Not lose my money in 5 minutes. You need to get back to the way Packer was running the place. Whoever is giving the orders these days (some bean counter from New York?) hasn't got a clue about running a successful casino in Australia. Blacksone deserve to lose their Investment.

Crown taxi rank ripoff

Bistro Guillame was fantastic
Ripoff taxi from crown taxi rank left a very bad taste. $47 for a fee that was $12 on uber. It wasnt an official taxi but we went to the head of the taxi queue and was directed to this non -taxi ride. Didnt realise until part way thru saw there was no meter.

Crown Melbourne overzealous security

I am writing in relation to incident that occurred with me being banned from Crown Melbourne on the 6th of December 2025.

It relates to an incident where I sat in one of the unoccupied machines and Withdrew funds from the machine as I decided I didn't want to play on that particular machine. To put this into a bit of context, a lot of these machines have credit on them after a patron decides to leave these machines.
I was spoken to one of the guards as he kicked me out and quoted by him as saying " your a thief!" In an angry tone. I don't believe the tone he spoke with, was even appropriate for the situation. If your going to kick someone out, the guard could do well to act with more professionalism and have some more calmness in the way he spoke. He seemed rattled as it was relatively late in the night. We had an exchange where he asked me if the situation was reversed and I left behind funds in a machine, how would I feel? My response it really is "open slather". Patrons have a responsibility to be on their machine at the time of present. If there is no one in the vicinity of 15-20 metres and the machine has been unoccupied for a good 3-4 minutes, is this really breaking any laws or rules of the casino? My response was also along the lines of we have a responsibility to manage our funds in a casino. There have been countless times machines have been left with credit on them. What is the line in terms of drawing a line in the sand?

I don't believe a patron using a machine where funds have been left behind is doing anything wrong. This experience has left me bemused and I mentioned to the security guard that what one sees is "open slather".

It will take a lot for convincing for me to step foot or recommended your business to fellow patrons in future. If you want to be treated with respect, do your business with The Star complex. That's where I'm at with this and I thank you for taking the time for everyone to read this.
I notice lot of reviews from other users are about the : food, hotel . But as a casino and my experience at Crown Perth-there has always been a bad vibe with the security guards, the croupier dealers and general staff working in the casino. You are how you present yourself and as a traveller of casinos worldwide, the Crown product is one of the poorest around. Crown have seriously lost their way, their roulette tables have triple advantage to the house 0, 00 and Crown Green), they charge a minimum to play on their touch screen and their staff generally don’t look enthused about their job. From my experience at the Star there was never ever any roulette table with more than 0 or double 0. Clearly, the cost of living has pinched people and Crown has had to reciprocate that by increasing their house advantage to their terms. Save your money and do your work at The Star complex in Sydney or Gold Coast. This place has gone to the wire since it has been sold by James Packer and co.

Was not paid correctly on several jackpots I won. The never added them to my account as I was playing. I noticed I would win on a slot pull but it never added it to my total.

Free spins vanished after re-login

Free spins vanished after re-login, the history showed a blank line with no description. Support apologized and restored some of them, but the expiry was already close and it felt like a quest without an ending.

As my husband cannot weight bare on his ankle, we hired a wheelchair to go to see a show at the theatre well what a complete body headache it was to find a lift l. we asked numerous staff where to go to the lift some didn’t know one person directed us to a lift only to find it was a staff lift and wouldn’t go up to top floor. we walked all over the bottom car parking pushing a wheelchair not knowing where we are going signage is shit we eventually after 30 bloody minutes looking for a lift we asked another staff member he pointed us to the lift. there should be better access for the disabled instead of walking miles to find it should be next to escalator for ease and convenience bloody disgusted rant over….

This website is horrible

This website is horrible, I won $132.00 today. All of a sudden I can't get my money because I had two different Gmail accounts.I also won $ $75.00 last week and they deposited it into my account.I explain to them that I couldn't use my account through Facebook,so I had to use another Gmail account. So they took my $132.00 that I won and locked me out of my account. These people are big time scammers, you spend money to play games and then they take it back because of a Gmail account.

When in Melbourne this place is…

When in Melbourne this place is regularly visited by me. Not just for a poke but also for meals. I have gone with the flow of Vic Government regulations re patrons require a card to play any of the machines. However, I won over $1,000 and could not cash in ticket from pokies for cash (another regulation)
When I received my golden cheque(thought these had died with the dinosaurs) walking away I noticed someone being paid thousands of dollars in the hand, from his chips!!!!!! What in the roulette spinning table casino world is the difference between a chip and a ticket????? Now waiting patiently for 1-3 days for a chq to clear. Oh well Melbourne won’t see any of that winning as heading back to a small remote island in Qld where the hotels pay your winnings $5000 cash up front and any other winnings in a chq! Yes chq, but you can go back to venue the next day to cash it in!

Crown Casino won't accept a digital driver licence as identification. Legally acceptable form of ID but they'll only accept the old plastic version of licence. Poor form. I pity those from NSW or other states that have had them for years.
