This is one of the best holidays I have ever been on. It was the experience of a lifetime.The people at Cross Cultural Journeys are lovely as are the other guests. I highly recommend traveling with them and will do so again myself.

The tour of Havana and Trinidad was seamless and rewarding. CCJ struck a perfect balance of planned activities, spur of the moment group decisions, and free time/exploration. They know many locals and spots in Cuba, so they can tailor each traveler's experience according to what they are seeking to discover. I look forward to my next journey with CCJ!

I thoroughly enjoyed my Cross Cultural Journeys trip to Cuba in January, 2017.
The small group of around 20 welcomed me warmly, which was great because I was traveling by myself. Our guides and bus driver were the best, as were the accommodations. I would definitely recommend CCJ and hope to go on another trip with them soon.

I love Cross Cultural Journeys! Best vacation I ever had! We went to Cuba with Taj Mahal, Jon Cleary and Roger Glenn for 10 days. The guides were knowledgeable, fun and creative! Highly recommend!

When you travel with Cross Cultural Journeys, not only is every detail attended to, they have all the best local connections with access to the venues only locals typically can access. The cultural riches you will rub elbows with will astound and amaze you! Even with a meticulously planned itinerary, if they can find a way to add delightful surprises and unexpected activities that will further enhance your cultural understanding/awareness, they aren't afraid to add the flavor and spice to make the trip exceed your expectations!

A wonderful experience. The trip was run as well as one could hope given the circumstances beyond the control of Cross Cultural. And when challenges arose, both our Cuban guide and out American guide did everything possible to smooth out the bumps. the experience was further heightened by the 12 members of the group as we all had an attitude of positively spinning each hurdle. Wonderful time!!

Wonderful trip. Our guide ‘Chip’ had lived there several years so had personal experience to share with us. Very small group helped add to the personal experience. Could have used a little more ‘off’ time to relax as we were constantly on the go. Great food too.

We contacted Cilla at Cross Cultural Journeys just a couple of weeks before we had an opening in our schedule and could do this top bucket list trip to Cuba. Within a few days she had put together the outline of a wonderful journey and, within a week, we were set. Our two weeks in Cuba, beginning in the East (Santiago/Baracoa) and ending with a week based in Havana, was full of delightful experiences and much to digest in our areas of expertise and interest: music, culture, people to visit and speak with. Our guide Jesus Noguera, with us for the whole journey (except during planned alone time), was the best and we look forward to seeing him again.

My experience was a disaster, as was that of our entire group. I cannot express strongly enough how horrible this tour company is. Our guide/owner was reliving meeting his wife and romance on our time without considering that it might not be why we went to Cuba. I was put in horrid accommodations and was infested with bedbugs - my face swelled beyond belief from bites early in the trip and I had a difficult time ridding these bugs from my life. Later I learned that two women from the group got a refund. I had decided to move on and try to forget the whole fiasco. But now I receive a request from Cultural crossroads for my review, so that spurred my memory of the most unforgettable and horrific trip I have ever been on - and I paid a substantial sum for this torture. Leif/owner was my guide and can verify that what I share is factual. I feel a small compensation for what I went through would be a refund check for the full amount of my trip from Cross Cultural Journeys.

Excellent trip. The trip was well organized. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I would go back anytime.

I almost always make reservations myself, but what a mistake that would have been traveling to Cuba. Not only did Cross Cultural handle all the details traveling to a country that is complex, but they put together a “person-to-person” itinerary that had us meeting community clinics, urban planners and a museum curator. There was simply no possible way our group could have put together a trip that was remotely as interesting and fulfilling. Our guide was an ex-English professor who I remain in contact with years later. Erudite, professional and extremely knowledgeable about current Cuba and its history.

Cuba is something of a political football and it seems the travel opportunities and/or restrictions are changing all the time. I would completely trust Cross Cultural Journeys to wend their way through the current possibilities and deliver a memorable and exciting trip.

I traveled to Cuba in September 2016 with a small group of friends. CCJ organized the 10-day trip (itinerary, travel logistics, guides, and learning experiences) in a friendly, flawless flow. The balance between structured activities and free time to explore was perfect! Connecting with the Cuban people through music and the arts was a highlight for me.

I will travel with CCJ again. Highly recommended!

Our trip to Cuba was a treasured experience thanks to the thoughtful planning of Cross Cultural Journeys. We experienced Cuba and its distinctive culture up close and personal. From many delicious meals at local family restaurants, unique music performances to really experiencing the life culture of Cuba - thanks to knowledgable - English speaking Cuban guides It was one of those amazing trips of a lifetime. Just 90 miles from Key West Florida - but a world away - a beautiful people and culture frozen in time. Loved the trip.

Cross Cultural Journeys made all arrangements for a trip that in one week gave us a deep and wide view of Cuba’s history, culture and it’s various visions of the future. The guide they provided was a former university professor who spoke perfect English, was fun to be with, loved his country and was eager to help us learn about it. We learned a ton and enjoyed ourselves enormously!

incredible opportunity, itinerary, local guides and exposure to so much beyond Havana. Highly recommend. An experience not to be missed.
