Returning Customer
We've used Croft & Cole for the last couple of years - we've placed another order this year as our tree last year was beautiful. Friendly customer service and great communication.
AVOID
Stay away! It is not Croft and come that used to be. Original company was sold to people who have no idea or any standards whatsoever. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Best Christmas tree ever! M
Having read some recent reviews I just had to share the story of our Christmas tree, which arrived on schedule on 30th November and in pristine condition. We decorated it on 7th December and everyone has commented on how beautiful it looked. Sadly, on 12th night, we had to take it down. We were anticipating every needle to fall off leaving us with a right mess to clean up but to our astonishment your tree had retained over 95% of it needles and looked every bit as good as it did the day it arrived. We will definitely be ordering our next Christmas tree from you and would have no hesitation in recommending Croft & Cole to anyone wanting the perfect festive tree!
Kindest regards & a very Happy New Year!
This is such a professional company
This is such a professional company, from the website to ordering and asking a question about your order. The tree arrives on the date you request and packaged carefully. The moment the tree unfurls is a beautiful moment… and the 3 trees I’ve had have all been stunning and there is barley any dropping of needles, which is a huge bonus.
To cap it off, this year I received a package of 3 of the most amazing smelling candles as a free gift, I was delighted.
I will definitely be ordering again next year, without hesitation.
Does not comply with Consumer Protection legislation
Last year we had a beautiful tree from C&C, so this year we ordered 3. All 3 were misshapen and not freshly cut. The needles were already going brown, which I have never had before in over 30 years of buying trees. The trees did not in any way comply with C&C's Tree Guarantee. We rejected all 3 trees. C&C refunded us the cost of 2 trees but, in breach of its obligations under consumer protection legislation that applies when buying online, and disregarding the existence of their own tree guarantee, has not refunded the third. We were left with a) three unsightly and in poor condition 8-9 foot trees to dispose of (which did not fit in our car) and b) having to replace them at very short notice on 19 December and c) the inconvenience now of having to take action to get a refund.
Don’t use this company.
This company has gone downhill. One word. Avoid.
Not as good as last year
We had such a brilliant experience last year we told all our friends who then also went on to have an excellent experience.
This year we are so disappointed. Our tree lacks lustre. It was delivered in a bag not a box like last year and the courier company this year left a lot to be desired. Lots of brown wet needles covered our kitchen floor when opening the bag. The tree branches droop a lot and we had to buy paper decorations as our usual decs just kept falling off. The tree has no smell. It’s almost dead now and we are tempted to go out and buy another one for the rest of the holidays. It looks so sad and it’s a bit depressing to look at. It’s quite a bit shorter than last year’s even though we ordered a taller one this year. It’s very bottom heavy and no where near the lovely shape we had before.
Last year we had the most beautiful tree that looked as fresh as a daisy right up to 6th January. It was delivered in a very compact box which was so easy to unpack. It had a beautiful shape and strong branches.
We did provide feedback and received a candle (set of 3 votive candles) as a gesture of goodwill. But I think we should have received a full refund. The tree is clearly not fit for purpose. We will definitely go back to using our local garden centre next year as their trees looked gorgeous this year.
Avoid Croft & Cole
I have had trees from Croft and Cole for the the last two years, they were picture perfect. I ordered from them as they have a tree guarantee and I found picking a tree myself to stressful trying to find the most symmetrical one etc. we ordered this years tree well in advance to deliver on 3rd December. I waited past my delivery time slot by 3 hours for them to turn up with a tree wrapped in a plastic bag, not the lovely cardboard box as previous years ( no insta worthy picture of the tree box at the front door ) but disappointed but it only got worse… open the bag to a wet, dirty and dropping tree. The branches were scarce and the tree was no way full of symmetrical. The stump was so wonky we couldn’t even make it stand straight in the stand. So with a dirty, wonky tree and a lounge full of needles I reached out to C&C via email who said they would send a replacement. replacement expected wed 14th dec, on this day I get a message from the delivery firm saying it hasn’t been received yet. Following day a message saying I can now book delivery… nearest date 20th Dec!!! Livid. Reached out to C&C no reply. Tree arrived 20th 2 hours later then they said… I didn’t hold out much hope for a tree that had been wrapped in plastic and sat in a warehouse for days and that brought the second round of disappointing trees. Dirty plastic bag. Wet tree, brown needles, bits of tree came off as we opened the net and the branches that were attached droopy. Another awful tree, we have had to cut off branches, trim branches into some sort of shape just to try and make it presentable, it is not that!! Have emailed C&C requesting a refund. It’s been such an unnecessary stressful run up to Christmas. Very disappointed, will not be returning.
22 Jan—-Update. Used (which) website to create a letter quoting how they were breaking consumer/ customer rights etc. refund received the following day
Beautiful tree and great customer…
Beautiful tree and great customer service! We will be ordering again next year :)
Awful quality compared to previous years - no response on email
Tree turned up two days late, after being in transit for 5 days, turned up in a plastic bag, decorations just fall off the droopy branches, top 1/3rd is very sparse. Very disappointed for £100 of tree, especially after two years of great trees.
All of this could be forgiven, but they’re ignoring my emails with the exception of the day of the missed delivery, will find it a struggle to use them again.
Well what can I say other than fabulous…
Well what can I say other than fabulous my experience this year was A+ well done!! Looking forward to next year. Keep up the good work.
Such a disappointment, never again !
I have purchased multiple trees from Croft & Cole for 4 years. First 3 years apart from delivery issues and a damaged tree which they resolved, I have been very happy with the trees, in fact the first years tree was the best I and my family have ever had. However, this years the 2 trees they sent were nothing but disappointing. The trees came in plastic bags and not the normal recyclable cardboard and when opening the bag the amount of damaged branches and dead needles were shocking. On the day of delivery we drilled the trunk and placed in buckets of water, neither of the trees took any water. 2 weeks later the trees look a disaster, they are completely dry and needles everywhere. Unfortunately we have had to remove most of the decorations as they won’t stay on the beaches as they have dropped so much. I don’t know what has changed in Croft & Cole for such a dramatic drop in quality, but I for one will not be giving them another chance. Oh and don’t bother sending me the £20 candle as an apology, it’s just a insult when spending £200 on 2 trees and over £350 of damaged ordainments.
Best tree(s) we have ever had!
Best tree(s) we have ever had!
After the fantastic independent review in the Independent Newspaper we ordered our trees from Croft & Cole this year…. I can honestly say they are the best we have ever had!
Profile is amazing, they barely drop (and we have an inquisitive dog that likes to go underneath!).
Cannot recommend enough!
How disappointing
Oh dear. Like many others had a great tree last year. This year packaging awful, tree damaged and wreath missing. Waiting for response from customer service. Will not use again
Great in 2021, 2022 not so great
Ordered from Croft & Cole last year and loved our tree. Some quality issues this year but resolved via customer service. Hopefully next year will be better.
2* tree but 5* customer service
Like many others who have recently written reviews here, I’ve had beautiful trees for the past couple of years from
Croft and Cole and when this year’s arrived I was bitterly disappointed. I emailed them a photo (at 8.30pm) requesting a refund and received a very apologetic reply in less than 30 minutes with an offer of a full refund (including delivery charge) which has today been received. If this was a review for customer service alone it would be 5*, sadly the quality of the tree means it’s not.
