Don't waste your time on Crave... This plateform is sooo bad, it is hard to believe. There are soo many stupid bugs that it is very annoying to watch movies on Crave. For example, when you pause it and you do play again, it doesn't from where you paused it, it start again later on the movie and you need to come back and see where you where. And i could barely find a movie i like in its original language. And the plateform is soooo slow when you search a movie, the letters you typa arrive something like 6-7 seconds after you type it, it's very annoying... and overall the plateform can barely support itself....

ad-supported tier has excessive ad practices

The amount of ads is crazy compared to any other platform. Disney for example shows you on timeline of episode or movie where the ads will be and how many so at least know they're coming and they happen at reasonably smart spots relative to the action on the screen. With Crave, it will jarringly cut people off mid word/sentence to show me 4 ads. What makes this so much worse is that if you stop playback when it reaches an ad thinking you'll only have those ads to come back to, no such luck. Crave doubles down every time. You get 2-4 ads just for restarting your show as well as the 4 ads at random, very short intervals. I literally watched 4 ads, then about 30 seconds of my show only for it to immediately cut to 2 more ads. It feels like the app is literally trying to piss people off the most it possibly can just to push everyone to the higher, more expensive ad-free tier. I'm at a loss for words on just how terrible and annoying a practice this is. There are some shows I would really like to watch or complete watching but I just can't anymore. I also don't want to give in and fork out for ad-free so I guess I'll just pass on some stuff. Really sucks

I reached out to crave cause they cancelled my subscription even though I was charged. I reached out via chat. I had no idea that I was being double charged for 2 subscription under the same billing address for 6 months. Support was unhelpful and only offered me $22 credit. You can’t solely rely on just email marketing emails. There is no safeguard in place and do better

Would give less then zero. Crave is a garbege app garbege subscription service. The amount of ads is disgusting. You spend more time watching ads then an actual show. Besides a couple shows, there is nothing worth subscribing for. The movies are all old and nothing anyone would watch. The app buffers half the time and struggles to connect to wifi. The customer service sucks, they clearly don't value their customers. If you're canadian and want to watch GOT there's better ways. Can't wait till Crave kicks the bucket.

Got Crave through a free offer from Virgin

Got Crave through a free offer from Virgin, and it’s honestly not worth it. There are way too many commercials—sometimes 5 ad breaks in a single episode—and if the app freezes (which happens often), you have to reload and sit through all the ads again. It feels like they get paid based on how many times they can force ads on you. Really frustrating experience overall. I would never pay to subscribe.1 star is way more than they deserved

I would give it no stars if possible

I would give it no stars if possible. I ordered crave on my phone the basic plan hoping to connect it to my Prime account. Crave then told me THE SAME APP is considered a second, different service so not only did i get charged for the basic account, I got charged a premium account as well. When I reached out to Crave I told them this was not the case with Paramount Plus (which i had in the past). They cancelled my account but are "unable to give refunds due to their policy." I literally ordered Crave on my phone and put it on my TV within a half hour. I am warning everyone please before you get Crave double check if it will double charge you through Prime!

Do not pay for it

I have crave free through my Virgin cell phone. I definitely wouldn’t pay for it! It always loses my spot where i am watching and sometimes doesn’t start back up automatically after all the annoying commercials. HBO is good selection.

Be careful with the basic plan

Used my laptop to subscribe to Crave Basic.
Immediately tried to login to the crave app on my Roku TV and received the prompt that a premium subscription plan is required to access on the Roku device.
Called Crave and was told to read through the FAQ / terms and conditions as it states that the Roku TV cannot support the basic plan.
This is something that should be more easily accessible and promoted to the customer before signing up as no one actually reads through pages and pages of terms and conditions just to sign up for a simple streaming service.
Netflix, Prime and Disney so not have this issue with their basic plans.
I would expect Crave to be able to at least match what their competition is doing, but I guess they can’t keep up.

HORRIBLE

HORRIBLE. Do not subscribe to their platform. I never unsubscribe so fast in my life. Ads every 5-6 mins sometimes even after 1min if a (bugg) happen you might get twice the ads in a row. The lowest you can pay is a scam as most free streaming services are far superior.

Audio will be delayed from visuals sometimes.

Continue watchings do not appear all the time

Canceling the subscription is truly hard to find

Most shows are nonsense

Two issues, Beware!

Two issues, Crave has limited good shows. Better to go month to month, watch what you want then cancel. Second issue: they are NOT transparent when renewing. I had a promotional rate for an annual subscription so went to my account near the end of that year and saw that to renew it was the same promotional rate. I did renew expecting that rate only to find I was charged almost double. I tried to reason with them and had evidence of what I saw online in my account but they would not refund it, citing that they don't do refunds. BEWARE. They are very unreasonable. Worst platform to deal with.

Treat customers terribly- the subscription process is awful. Miss your cancelation date and absolutely no refund of any kind. Even with yearly subscription- trap their customers. Basically stealing customers money. Cancellation completed for next renewal done. God forbid people have major events happen in life that take priority over a subscription renewal notice.

$14.99 for what?

$14.99 for what seems ads every 10 minutes is ridiculous. And on top of that the app freezes, volume lowers when it goes to ads, won't play my series but will play other shows. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app numerous times. I do not recommend this horrible app. It's the worst app I have ever used.

Crave TV is absolute trash

Crave TV is absolute trash. Not only is the content outdated and limited, but they make it intentionally difficult to cancel your subscription. You’d think in 2025 a streaming service would have a simple “cancel” button. Nope. Instead, you're forced to go through a maze of settings, redirects, and shady tactics just to stop being charged.

The user experience is clunky, the app is buggy, and half the time the stream quality is subpar. There are better free platforms out there. Crave is just a money-grab wrapped in nostalgia bait and frustration.

I hate everything about this platform. Avoid it like the plague.
