Very poor customer service from Cotton On regarding a lost parcel.
I placed an order online on 21st Dec'. Yes, I am aware that things are very busy just before Christmas and expected a little bit of a delay but I have been disappointed by the poor level of customer service (and huge lack of response) to enquiries about my parcel which still hasn't arrived with me today (4th Jan'). I received an automated email with courier tracking information on 22/12. The courier company apparently have my parcel and have had it since 22/12. The parcel was last scanned on 24/12 at 6am at my local Evri depot. I contacted Cotton On by email on 30/12 to chase my parcel which appears to be stuck. I received an automated email response from Cotton On saying that somebody will be in contact with me. I still haven't heard anything! I contacted Cotton On again on 02/01 after not hearing anything from them and received another automated response but no real response from an actual human. I also went onto the website on 02/01 and used the online live chat system to report the missing parcel to them. I chatted with a person who seemed very friendly and helpful. They told me that my enquiry has been escalated to the team in charge of chasing shipped items and that somebody would contact me by email within 24 hours to update me on the progress of my shipment. 2 days later and I still have not received an update. I tried to track the parcel at Evri and it still hasn't moved since 6am on 24/12! If I do not receive an update within the next 24 hours from Cotton On, I will open a dispute with PayPal and claim back a full refund as their customer service team is extremely inadequate. My order number is 870000821814.

I removed the tag from a jacket I bought online and it was discarded. The jacket was to tight fitting, they are sized small. I tried to return it and they wouldn’t exchange or refund. I have purchased lots of clothes online and very easy to return. Now I am out the money with a jacket that doesn’t fit.

Poor customer service
I bought a pair of shorts from Cotton On in Sidney when I was vacationing there. I was leaving Sidney the same night I bought the shorts, and when I got home, I discovered, that the security tag was left on the shorts and that the lady helping me, did not take it off.
I went to multiple other Cotton On stores in my home country, and no one would help me take it off or get me a refund, even though I still have the receipt. Now I am left with a pair of shorts I can’t use and a very bad experience with Cotton On customer service.

What is happening with the material
What is happening with the material, we have bought numerous clothing and after the first wash the colour comes out and leaves the items looking dirty. I have noticed other people that are wearing the same items and theirs was the same. Not going to buy anymore, such poor quality.

Nightmare of a company, please don’t shop with them unless you’re ready to chase for weeks for a delivery. Forget about it you even consider a return, they’ll frustrate you so much you’d rather keep the items or burn them. Ridiculous.

poor quality and service
Purchased T-shirt at Byron Bay. The fabric has a fault right in the front which was not obvious until it was put on. I went to the store to get an exchange and they would not exchange unless I had receipt or tag. The girl serving me remembered selling it to me and I am on their system so when I make a purchase my purchase history comes up. I was given the customer service number to ring and when I phoned they could not do anything they only service online customers. Will certainly not be purchasing from them again. Very poor service.
Manager could not process my refund
I went to cotton on Woodmead after work for a refund, only to find out that there is load shedding and they used it as an excuse not to proceed with the refund. Their reason is that the system cannot refund, and that they are only using the pos for the other customers that were buying. Question is, how does this system manage to scan other items being bought and not scan the ones that are supposed to be refunded if both the items being bought and refunded are scanned the same way? Is the refund system different from the system used for the sale of clothes? I’m so disappointed because it was even the closing manager that was telling me this.
accused of stealing
doing some back to school shopping when i grabbed my wallet out of my bag. seconds later i’m being asked to open my bag. then i was told that security was being called on me when my own things were in my bag. horrible treatment from those girls.when asked if i could still buy my items i was told “no your not allowed to buy anything since your stealing”. mind you this was the first store i had been in.
Yellow tshirt stained my Skin
I bought a bright yellow T-shirt and it transfered the dye to my bra and pant and my SKIN. Took me 3 hours of scratching and showering to remove the stain. I contacted them concerning about risk of cancer and all they did were paying the money I spent on the bra and pant, plus giving me $50 voucher for future shopping. They did provide certificate approved by a third party that their goods are harmless and said that this should resolve the issue. But i mean, there is still risk of cancer or other disease. Plus all of the depression i got due to the shirt, I expect a better compensation and also an insurance for the possibility of cancer in the future. If there is a way to give 0 star, that’s more accurate.

Order arrived in less than 3 days
I ordered a pair of trousers, a pair of shorts and two tops for my daughter on Saturday - I had had a cider in the sunshine and it seemed a good price so I didn’t check the reviews. After I ordered I expected to receive a confirmation email- I didn’t. I checked the reviews and was worried these clothes would never arrive. There was a knock on the door today (Wednesday) and a attractive ‘Cotton On’ environmentally friendly paper bag presented to me by the delivery person. It took less than 3 working days and my daughter loves her new clothes. I was very sceptical as I know people have not had a good experience - I panicked when there was no communication from the company and seemingly no way to register an account. The money came straight out of my account and I thought it was a scam. It isn’t and I will order again.
