I had a very interesting experience working with the Cortance platform and was able to fully experience the level of requirements they place on developers.

With many years of experience, going through the verification, interview process was not a problem for me. However, at first I only filled out my profile according to the minimum requirements, which meant that I didn't really stand out among other developers. As a result, for quite a long time there was little or no activity.

Everything changed when I added detailed description of my projects, highlighting my strengths and following the recommendations of the Cortance team. After that, the number of cooperation offers started to increase noticeably.

I have been working with Cortance for about a year now and am currently working on my second project. The selection process, communication and integration into client teams were smooth and well-organized. So, I`m happy about our cooperation.

There are many qualified developers working on the platform, and the first ones to attract the client's attention are those who stand out with a well-written profile and then confirm this with their knowledge during interviews.

I’m a PHP backend developer working mainly with Symfony and Laravel, and so far I’ve worked on 3 projects through the platform. Two of them turned into long-term collaborations that have been running for over a year, which for me is the best indicator that the matching actually works

The projects were a good technical fit: Symfony/Laravel backends, REST APIs, integrations, background jobs, databases, and Docker-based environments, so onboarding was smooth and close to real production setups. It felt more like joining existing product teams rather than doing random short-term freelance tasks

Clients knew what they wanted, requirements were clear, and communication was straightforward. From my experience, Cortance matches developers to projects based on real technical needs. They also helped me estimate the real market value of my skills and set a high hourly rate that works well for both the client and me. Additionally, I want to mention that all payments have been received on time and as agreed so far.

It’s also worth mentioning the time it took to start working. The first project was found very quickly—less than two weeks including interviews. The second took a bit longer, around 1–1.5 months, and the third about one month. So it’s important to understand that finding the right project may take longer than expected, but the quality is worth it

Overall, it’s a solid platform if you’re looking for serious, long-term work with modern stacks
