The distinctive blue and white banded pottery owes its name to an employee who said it reminded them of the blue sky and white-crested waves of Cornwall. Today, Cornishware is a family run business based in the West Country employing over 30 people who have successfully brought production back to the UK from overseas.

Response to my inquiry was speedy. My order was waiting for me to pick up when I arrived at a hotel I was staying at, in Scotland. It was packed beautifully and I was able to travel home (Italy) with it in my suitcase.

Before that, she'd helped with various questions for which i couldn't find the answers--again online. for some reason my emails had not arrived, so it's great that they have the online chat--with a real human!!
