The Danish rental market – and the Copenhagen rental market especially – is under an enormous amount of pressure. Navigating this stressful market, can be extremely difficult, even for Danes. My prime target is to make life jus a little bit easier for the house-hunting internationals in Denmark.

We stayed in Denmark for one year as my …

We stayed in Denmark for one year as my sabbatical. When we start to house-hunt, we are completely unfamiliar with the housing situation in Denmark. Of course, there is a lot of various housing information in the internet, called “bolig”-sites. However, we realized that the practical approach to House-hunting was a completely different issue for foreigners.

While we were feeling the unexpected high barrier to access the housing market, we have found one leaflet of a housing expert, which was an introduction for new comers. Then, we decided to ask the help to them. That was Copenhagenhousing. I am a scientist not a smart business person, and naturally we do not afford to apply to a perfect service plan. In the limited budget, we started our house-hunting.

They explain the cultural difference in different points of views. They do not push, but kindly wait for us to recognize it step by step. During these communications, we naturally got our eyes wider than that before. Finally, we got a good house. When some persons are thinking to go to Denmark like us, we sure recommend that they should contact Copenhagenhousing first.

I couldn't be happier with copenhagenhousing and Alison. I found my dream home in less than 2 months, and Alison has really gone above and beyond to help me, always answering questions and emails and making sure I would find the home that I wanted.
Thanks copenhagenhousing and Alison

housing success

My boyfriend and I used copenhagenhousing to find accommodation for our 10 month stay in Copenhagen and we can highly recommend the service. We were in contact with Alison, who helped us to find a place in new student housing. We're happy with the result and excited to move in! The housing market in Copenhagen is incredibly difficult, but Copenhagenhousing provides the help and information for foreigners to find the right accommodation in CPH.

Beware, either bad service or scam

I contacted the company to help me find a place in Copenhagen. I was advised right away it was going to be hard, and that for a budget of less than 10000 kr they will basically do nothing but just put me on an email list with options. That costed me 200 kr and after more than a month I never got a single email not had been contacted in any way.
To me this sounds like either a lousy customer service or maybe even a scam.

Reply from Copenhagenhousing

Dear Ricardo,
I am very sorry to hear that you felt you have had a bad experience using our services. We are focusing very hard on assisting people with lower as will as higher budgets in Copenhagen. Our Budget Accommodation Service, with a registration fee of 200 kroner, has helped many people find an affordable home in Copenhagen. If you feel that nothing has been done for you, you should of course get a refund of your 200 kroner? Can you please send us an email with your account details so we can refund your money?
Did you ever tell the agent in charge of your case that you were not satisfied? Our main focus is to keep our clients happy and to treat them with honesty and openness, so I am certain that any complaint would have been taken very seriously.
Please do get in touch with us.
I would like to refer to our facebook page and our website where it can be seen that we have many very happy clients.
