I am in the process of setting up my own business and came across Cool Ventures through support for new businesses provided by BathNES. What a find! I have been able to access a number of courses that have been invaluable to me, not only in their high level training content, but also signposting on to other resources I would never have been aware of.
I am extremely grateful for this 'step-up' on preparing for my company launch.

In the Coolventure meeting in Bath on 7 November, I wanted to focus on the initial questions as regard to growing an idea of a business into an on-going concern. This was done very well.

Cool ventures showed a good understanding of my business and the issues I was facing. They listened well and offered tailored advice to help me move forwards.

This workshop was just what I needed. Both Roger and Sue were extremely helpful in showing me how to set out and plan for my business future. This workshop has highlighted just how key planning is within your business. They have provide me with the tools I need to make this happen and achieve my goals. I'm looking forward to establishing my very own detailed strategic plan and seeing my ideas turn into reality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this workshop to any business, both large and small.

The course was about developing and implementing a strategy for my business, run over two Thursday mornings. We were a small group with diverse businesses but the tutors made the content applicable to all. We reviewed our long term goals, looked at how to break the goals into manageable tasks and put timelines to them with the help of large sheets of paper printed with content.
A really useful course - I have the document pinned up on my wall to remind me of where I am going!

We were introduced to Coolventures through the Growth Accelerator scheme. Roger displayed a really in depth knowledge of marketing a new venture. From the perspective of the funding I felt we received great value for money. However it's only 4 stars because we didn't feel confident to launch our venture for a number of reasons but mainly due to lack of funding and the overwhelming amount of work it would take to build and market our idea.

If nothing else, it was worth going through the process as a feasibility study, but perhaps we needed guidance which left us feeling like it could be broken up into manageable steps.

Cool Ventures are exceptional business mentors and advisors. Their involvement has had a very positive impact in all aspects of our business.

I was really grateful to have independent and experienced advice at a time in my life when I was making a big personal and financial decision about whether or not to start my own business - having someone with the skills to look at my business plan and ask questions with no emotional attachment was invaluable.
