Went out of his way help

Rob couldn't help me with my enquiry due to how old my car was, he went out of his way to take the details, find the car make and model and refer me to someone who may be able to help, most garages would just say, I can't help and that's the end of the conversation. Sometimes customer service goes a long way! This man went above and beyond expectations

Air conditioning compressor sized up…

Air conditioning compressor sized up whilst driving after 12K miles
Compressor was installed by professional garage in Manchester
Company requested faulty part back for inspection and after a week they sent me picture of my compressor and glass containing some sort of oil as proof that it was installed incorrectly hence failure.
Their 3 years warranty is simply a scam!!
Avoid them like a plague !!!!

Super convenient and excellent service

Read a lot of bad reviews on here, mainly aimed at one particular area who it seems is no longer there anyway, but my experience with cool car over the years is nothing but excellent. They are always courteous, helpful, full of advise, punctual and really know their stuff. I'd have no hesitation using Cool Car and have done for many years with all my vehicles and customer vehicles. Their reviews on the website are all verified, customer reviews, good and bad.

Con artist

£770 paid, service never delivered - and air con still not working after 8 months of false promises ajd mis diagnosis

Avoid Andrew Lawson and CoolCar air in genral not just the north east franchise.

Found CoolCar air con (Newcastle) company through positive online reviews via the main Coolcaraircon.co.uk website. They only post the positive testimonials on there website. Look around for the true reflection of there work and service as I differs largely.
Called Andy (Lawson) directly and felt reassured by both reviews and his connection to the established Cool Car franchise network with multiple operators. I should have known after turning up at 9pm when I booked 11am it's wasn't going to be good. 2-minute home inspection meant it was a simple regas. This couldn't have been so wrong after months it's was the compressor then a pressure switch the list goes on.

He would agreed he'd collect car but after repeated cancellations due to stated family illness and no-shows, I offered to drop car at his Blaydon garage instead. Despite multiple requests, never provided the garage address.

Business now shows as "temporarily closed and for sale."

Contacted Cool Car franchise company who were unhelpful and simply stated that Andy was a suspended franchisee and I needed to contact him directly. They take no responsibility and will not support you will the poor service and wrong doing complete by their franchisee.

Hundreds of pounds out of pocket and still air con.

Deposit taken, service never delivered - avoid Andrew Lawson Cool Car air con Newcastlefranchise

Found CoolCar air con (Newcastle) company through positive online reviews via the main Coolcaraircon.co.uk website . Called Andy (Lawson) directly and felt reassured by both reviews and his connection to the established Cool Car franchise network with multiple operators. This influenced my decision to pay £146 deposit on 14th Sept after 2-minute home inspection.

Initially agreed he'd collect my car but after repeated cancellations due to stated family illness and no-shows through September, I offered to drop car at his Blaydon garage instead. Despite multiple requests, never provided the garage address.

Cancelled on 8th Oct after more delays, agreed to 5-day refund. Then claimed needed refund on parts and tried adding £40 call-out charge (never mentioned before). Made multiple promises to refund, last promising payment by 25th Oct - nothing received. Business now shows as "temporarily closed."

Contacted Cool Car franchise company who were unhelpful and simply stated that Andy was a suspended franchisee and I needed to contact him directly. Multiple promises of refund dates have passed with no payment.

Didn’t turn up

Like several others experience, Andrew Lawson arranged to come out and didn’t turn up. Next day, no explanation and wasn’t responding to messages or calls.
UPDATE - I’ve waited for all day today for a call (three days after I was told he’d look at the car) and again nothing. I’m doing what I should have done at the start - I’ve booked it in to have it done at the main dealers.

I live in Newcastle and on 08 June 2023…

I live in Newcastle and on 08 June 2023 used Cool Car to look at my Air-con as it had stopped working. They attended and topped up the system and it still did not work, their conclusion was I required a new pump which they could not acquire. I went on to order a pump and let Cool Car know it had arrived from Germany, no response. In the meantime I did some checking of my own to find the fuse had blown, hence, the conditioner did not work. Sent the new pump back. The air-con stopped working shortly after due to lack of coolent, which they were supposed to have filled. After leaving this for the winter as the time consumed by the mis-information exhausted the sunny months I have just had ATS check and fill my air-con and it works perfectly. Something very wrong with the service from Cool Car, my recommendation is to use ATS who cleaned and serviced in 45 mins, and I'm sure would have checked for a blown fuse.

Great efficient service

Great efficient service. Advised at booking ETA could be between 7am - 9pm on day. Technician called just before 10am- 10 minutes away. Checked Aircon for leaks and re-gassed. Air con now colder than ever before. May be a little more costly but well worth it for the mobile at home service and knowing that the Technicians are fully trained and in the case of ours very polite and professional too. Keep up the good work.
