Extremely disappointing – unusable for professional work

I subscribed to Convertio a year ago for €85. On my very first conversion attempt, a high-resolution file of approximately 180 MB was reduced to less than 1 MB without any warning, options, or explanation. This resulted in a completely unusable output for professional purposes. When I contacted support, I was told that Convertio gives no guarantees regarding quality. That response alone was astonishing given the price and the expectations set by the website.

I cancelled immediately after this experience and have never used the service again. Yet the subscription continued for a full year.

What makes this worse is the enormous contrast with the overwhelmingly positive reviews here. My experience was the exact opposite: the product offered no value at all.

I would strongly advise professionals working with large or sensitive files to be cautious.
