Quality and consistency are amazing, but unfortunately not the most helpful :(

Used contrado for years, always very reliable and high quality! Recently queried a huge price increase between my orders and was told by the agent to shop elsewhere when I questioned the increase further. Hopefully this is a misunderstanding but it’s made me wary of recommending them :(

Animal print cushion

Animal print cushion took a while because the print quality failed quality control so they reprinted . I had great customer service when I queried the delay and cushion arrived with next day delivery. Overall happy with the product and quality of service I received.

Bad Customer Service

I have had satin labels printed by contrado before and they were fine. I reordered the same labels and the print is totally misaligned and I can’t use them to sew into seams. I have tried and tried to get a resolution and they just say I need to use the labels as they are and re printing wouldn’t solve the problem. I keep asking for a re print or a full refund. I am a small busines. They literally don’t care. I am still waiting for a resolution. Sort it out please Contrado. I am not happy and I would not recommend them based on their terrible Customer Service.
UPDATE and in response, Contrado only sorted it out because I had to keep on and on and on, and contacted them by chat, email and telephone numerous times. They just don’t want to look bad. I will never order from them again

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I’ve been partnering with Contrado for my online business for nearly two years, but my recent experiences have been so appalling and horrific that I feel compelled to warn others.

I ordered a rug for a customer that arrived in shocking condition, covered in deep dirt marks and stained patches spread across the entire surface. These weren’t minor blemishes—they were extensive, embedded marks that made the rug completely unacceptable and unusable for any customer.

When I reported the issue to Contrado, instead of acknowledging the severity of the problem, they repeatedly insisted that the marks could simply be brushed or vacuumed off—a completely absurd suggestion given the deeply ingrained stains. I pushed for a proper resolution, yet they dodged responsibility at every turn, first telling me not to dispose of the rug as they could “reuse the base for other orders.” Later, they asked me to “cut it up” and send photos as proof that it was unusable before they would even consider a refund. After endless back-and-forth and jumping through these hoops, they finally offered a voucher—a meaningless gesture considering the repeated quality issues—before reluctantly agreeing to a refund only after I had corned them and complied with their absurd request to cut the rug into pieces.

Despite this ordeal, I hoped that Contrado had addressed the issue and decided to place a second rug order. I even emailed them immediately after placing the order, asking them to ensure the same dirt issue wouldn’t happen again, as it had only been a few weeks since the last incident. Incredibly, the new rug arrived with the exact same deep dirt marks, despite my proactive communication. When I reached out to Contrado, they outright refused a refund this time, claiming it would be a “complete loss” for them. They once again suggested that the marks could be removed with a vacuum—an unrealistic and unacceptable solution for a brand-new product. Expecting my customer to deep clean a new rug to make it presentable is beyond unacceptable.

The lack of accountability and refusal to offer a fair resolution forced me to refund my customer out of my own pocket to protect my business’s reputation. Contrado’s poor quality control, combined with their unwillingness to stand behind their products, has been incredibly damaging. For a company that brands itself as premium and claims to prioritize quality and customer service, their disregard for partner loyalty and customer satisfaction is astonishing.

If you value quality, consistency, and accountability, I strongly advise avoiding Contrado. This experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and completely unacceptable, especially for a company that charges premium prices. I regret ever trusting them with my business.

Appalling quality Further to my recent review I will not…

I’ve contacted Contrado direct sending photographs to back up my complaints regarding poor manufacturing quality but so far they have not responded. As well as the photographs I’ve confirmed my order number and account name. So further to my recent review I will not recommend Contrado for making up cushions of any description. The delay in my order was apparently with their quality control fails and some items reprinted and made. Cushions reprinted all have the same date of manufacture on the labels (with their own details I might add!). I’d hate to see what failed because what I received was amateurish mismatched pattern seams bad stitching in white visible thread a not so invisible zip. The cushions ordered failed my own quality control and I’m having to refund disappointed clients. I’ve entrusted Contrado with two orders only. The first they sent replacement cushion cover to convince me they could deliver as promised at a high quality. I believed their reassurance and made the mistake of thinking everyone has an off day. Other companies can make up cushion covers fitting for bespoke design. Sadly it’s not Contrado in my experience.

Absolutely perfect!

I am very impressed with Contrado. They have the most amazing products and the quality is so good, their support team is so friendly and quick to answer, I reached out to them to find out if there was a way for me to see how many people visit my store, unfortunately that option is not available yet but the support team assured me that they will put in a request to add an option like that. I am definitely using Contrado from now on. 1000% recommend them.

Products good when not damaged, but customer service needs improving

Once on the phone they sorted this right away.

Can't believe I have to update this again. The voucher code they gave me doesn't work. Contrado emailed me numerous times and texted me to ask me to change my initial review here after they decided I should be reimbursed for the damaged goods they sent. I did before checking whether the voucher they had given me worked. More fool me. I hope I shall be amending this again soon, but what a fiasco.

I amend my review as requested by the company. Since posting my last review they have got back to me and reimbursed me with a voucher to just over value of the damaged goods, which I really appreciate.

It’s just a shame that I had to get really cross to get what should have been expected customer service.

Absolutely rubbish. Sent faulty coasters out (on the back). After 3 s days they got back to me “ The backs are produced in the way we receive them from our suppliers, and they are typically not treated or altered by us”. So therefore it’s okay to send them out faulty? What business logic is that? Why am I, their customer, supposed to accept substandard items from them whether or not they produced the error??

apparently it means, I don’t get a refund because the fault is only on the back and not caused by them. Where was the quality control from them? Where is the customer service?

While contrado may be happy to sell faulty goods to their customers, I only sell quality to mine. This means the items I bought from contrado are unsellable and therefore not fit for purpose.

Offering me a discount of 10 percent of the damaged goods on my next purchase is insulting.

Not only that but the tardiness in their reply meant I couldn’t even sell the coasters at the fair I had booked in if I wanted to. (Which I wouldn’t because they are faulty. Not just a visual fault but you can feel the surface is damaged).

Great service! Highly recommend them.

I found the whole service easy and satisfactory. It was easy to add my design for my banner and photo for my canvas on their website.
I worried that the letters I chose for the banner would be too small, that the colours would be faded. I just did not know what to expect.
The delivery came, professionally wrapped. When I opened it I literally fell to my knees! The canvas and the banner were PERFECT!!!
Contrado is now my absolute go to for printing!

Perfection

Wasn't really sure how my photo canvas would come out but WOW it is absolutely fantastic, exactly what I wanted and was hoping for, so clear and crisp, pure perfection 👌 My son will be so pleased when he opens it on his birthday. I honestly can't recommend this company enough fantastic job for a fantastic price. I will definitely be using this service again and will be recommending this company to friends and family 💖 thank you again

I have incredibly poor timing skills…

I have incredibly poor timing skills when coming to presents but this company was absolutely amazing they were able to print and send out my order within two days and it came right on time! The gentleman I spoke to over the phone was very very friendly and was able to push my order to ensure my package arrived on time. The quality of the blanket was amazing and the print came out wonderfully considering it was rushed! I am very very pleased with this company and will highly recommend them :)

The products are extremely expensive

The products are extremely expensive. I have bought a couple of things from them. I made a lighter which looked horrible in no time. The print faded and wore off. So that was disappointing for the price. If they are going to charge so much they need top-shelf quality. Also, the design interface and mock-up pics used to be way better, the design interface is clunky, and slow and the mock ups are terrible. very disappointing.

I love Contrado

I love Contrado. Whoever idea it was to come up with this company knows fashion. They take their time to handcraft each item they make. The quality is superb and no different than brands who’ve already established themselves. I couldn’t have picked a better platform to create my products. I trust them 1000% with my designs. They are very organized. They pay attention to detail. They exceed my expectations. They make other companies who’ve made stuff for me look bad. I will never let someone else make my products for my brand. My Corey Laron Collection will not make it without them. My loyalty remains with them for sure! I can’t wait to fly out to London someday and meet these people who work so hard to make all of this happen. I want a tour so bad. I want to talk to the owner someday about creating a department just for my collection because it will be necessary someday. You guys have immense potential. I don’t trust anyone to make my bags or clothes this is why Contrado is home. There will never be another company like them. Thank you all for your services. You are the absolute best and dont you ever forget it! I’m locked in FOR LIFE!!!! Cheers to a very bright future!!! I got some suggestions to because I’m competing with other luxury brands but I’ll save them for later however, I do want to bring at least one up in my review. Can we please get some jeans added to the roster and I want to make my own version of a Herme’s Birking Bag. You know where I’m going with this! Let’s do it guys!!! CONTRADO!! CONTRADO!!! **Quality Products, but App Issues and Misleading Pricing and Shipping**

I chose Contrado because of their unique and high-quality products, which aren't typically available through traditional print-on-demand services.

Last fall, they informed artists about their focus on developing their drop shipping business. I decided to be patient with the transition, but several issues with their app and services have arisen:

- I placed test orders using test credit card numbers and clearly fake data. Their automated system processed these without any checks, resulting in an $800 charge to cover what was obviously a test order. This raises serious concerns about their ability prevent actual fraudulent orders.
- An app update caused all variants for over 100 products I imported into Shopify to display the same price. This issue has persisted for over two weeks without resolution.
- Another update corrupted all product images for their lampshade products, making them impossible to list for sale.
- Despite the information on their website, shipping costs are exorbitant. I factored in a maximum shipping price of $35.95 for a large item based on the information provided by their site, only to be hit with an additional $360 "bulky" shipping fee when fulfilling an order via Etsy. Customer service was apologetic but ultimately unhelpful, leaving me with a significant loss and a canceled order, affecting my standing on Etsy.

These issues have severely impacted my business, resulting in over four months of lost time creating products, transferring them to Shopify, and manually addressing numerous bugs. I no longer feel confident in continuing with Contrado and will seek a new production partner. Proceed with caution.

Regarding the automated orders, I'd like to clarify that Contrado processes orders and charges your PayPal account if auto PayPal debit is enabled. If you're still in the testing phase, I recommend disabling this feature. This way, orders won't be processed automatically, and you can manually confirm payments for each order before we proceed with printing.

As your two accounts are interlinked, we can't differentiate between testing and legitimate orders based solely on payment status. Our system is designed to process orders promptly once payment is confirmed to avoid unnecessary delays.
