The service experienced yesterday…

The service experienced yesterday during my visit on June, 2023 during which time I purchased a 65” Samsung tv and a soundbar was absolutely remarkable and was very encouraged to leave a review for the customer care representative for her great experience and knowledge about the products that she entrusted with to sell. BRAVO!!!

I bought an extended 4 year warranty that they will never honor.

I bought an extended 4 year warranty on the LG 65" OLED TV and had service come out due to cracked glass and small areas that have faded lighting on the TV. They told me that it was cosmetic and they can not fix the TV. If I want the part I can pay $3000 + install fees. What the hell is the point of a warranty you will never honor. Worse experience I've had with a company in 20 years. I will NEVER be buying anything from here again. Should have known its in the name CONN JOB!

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. I made this mistake twice now. First was with a laptop, said it was going to be shipped in a few days, it never did. I called they said I could go pick it up at the local warehouse, I get there and they have no clue what I am talking about as all online orders for laptops and computers it gets shipped from out of state from the manufacturer. So I called again and they finally figured it out and I got my laptop another week later. Second time it said you could get 3 years no interest on a TV that was $2299, well thats not the case as it has to be a total purchase price of $2999 to get the 3 years which is straight up false advertising on the website. I still bought the TV and did 2 years no interest, and I got a delivery date for 2 days later. That day comes, no call or anything to set up a delivery window. So I call them and they said my order is not processed because I didnt respond to an email providing more documents. I got 5 emails from Conns regarding this order, not a single one of those 5 said anything about needing more documents. They send they would send the email again and I would get it in a few minutes. Two hours later, no email. So I called AGAIN and told them to cancel it and I went into the store, set it up there, did not have to provide any documents or anything aside from my ID and got my TV the next day. If your going to do business with Conns, DO NOT ORDER ONLINE, just go to the store. If there is not Conns store near you, do business with someone else, trust me. Unless you like being frustrated and not getting your items when you expect and also enjoy calling several times and sitting on hold then yea go for it.

The store sells items that doesn't…

The store sells items that doesn't work. When you call you can't get through. After 1 week of calling I went to the store. The person behind the counter told me "We turn off the phones so they won't ring" Once he turned on the 3 phones they instantly started ringing. Every person that called where having issues with items that they had bought at the store.

When I told the clerk and also later the manager about my issues they laughed and said its very risky to buy things here.

The washing machine I bought was broken at delivery. They sent another one that was also broken. Now they are refusing to take it back. I had a really good opinion about Conn's before this experience. Never again I will tell all my friends never to use them ever again. I will continue to call their customer service number until they take back this machine.

Conn’s refund me my money as requested!

HORRIBLE PRODUCTS AND SERVICE

I ORDERED TABLE AND CHAIRS AND TWO TVS WITH MOUNTING IN MARCH 2023; AS OF MID MAY 2023 - I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING AND ALL ANYONE DOES IS PASS ME AROUND TO DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS. FIRST THE DELIVERY WAS DELAYED "because the delivery people broke a chair" then a second time "because something happened to the table" and then a third time "because of scheduling mishap"; then they delivered everything but "the installer" will have to contact us to mount them - that was two weeks ago. In that time -the very second time we sat on a chair the leg broke completely off. The store says theres nothing they can do and I would have to call the department - who puts me on hold and transfers me to another department for hours and then has me submit pictures in an email claim that I haven't heard anything back from - a week later. They TVs are still in the box - twice the installers say they are coming but give a day and never call with the time window - so we are stuck all day long and then they don't show up. The store says they don't have anything to do with installation after they send an email notifying the installer of the account. They claim they have no way to contact installation other than email that they don't know if or when they will get an answer. They gave me the customer service phone line who put me on hold and pass me around to different departments for an hour to tell me the store handles installation. The store maintains theres nothing they can do. I plan to cancel the whole order and just have them come pick everything up because I'm not paying for things that are broken or unusable. I would have cancelled the sale already except the manager won't be in until 12

Miserable experience

Miserable experience. They talk a good game, but when it's time to actually deliver, no dice.

I bought a brand-new refrigerator. There were none left in stock, so I bought the floor/demo model. The next day, Conn's delivered a non-working, Dead On Arrival refrigerator. It displays an error code indicating that the compressor motor fan does not work. Now Conn's want me to pay $214 more to get a working refrigerator, three days from now.

Let me ask you: what does a refrigerator actually do? Hint: IT COOLS THINGS. The object Conn's delivered does NOT cool things. I received an item which is NOT a refrigerator (because it does not cool things). It LOOKS like a refrigerator, and it COSTS as much as a refrigerator, but it's not actually a refrigerator. Conn's wants me to pay $214 more to get an actual refrigerator.

To add insult to injury, I spent SIX HOURS and TWELVE PHONE CALLS trying to get the problem fixed. Every time you talk to someone, they have no clue about previous phone calls, so you must start all over from the beginning with a brand-new person, and they keep sending you to different departments to start over.

If someone brings you a dead refrigerator, would you pay $214 more to get a working one? The short answer is "NO". The long answer is that Conn's needs to either deliver a working fridge, or refund ALL my money and haul away their non-working boat anchor.

DO NOT BUY FROM CONN'S. YOU WILL BE SORRY. I had a miserable experience with Conn's 20 years ago. I decided to give them another try. The sales team was charming and nice, but the bottom line is that they sold me a USELESS HUNK OF METAL and wasted MY ENTIRE DAY and the problem is STILL NOT FIXED and they simply DO NOT CARE.

Conn's and I had an agreement for a working refrigerator at a certain price on a certain date. Conn's failed to perform any part of their agreement. Conn's wants me to pay $214 more, to get a working refrigerator several days after the promised date. Well, just NO. It's not the money. It's the principle. AVOID CONN'S. Their name is "CON" for a reason. Lying, uncaring con-artist CROOKS.

Update: they issued a full refund (instead of providing a working refrigerator at the agreed-upon sales price.) Of course this only means that Conn's will repair that broken lemon of a fridge, and then foist it off on someone (possibly YOU) as a supposedly "new" unit when it's actually used and refurbished. Buyer Beware.

Suggestion for a new corporate motto: "Come Get Conned at Conn's"

Terrible product and service

Terrible product and service. Bought a Bedframe, that after assembling (by Conns), is unstable and making these high noises with just the smallest turn in bed - and all they have to say is, that it is up to manufactor standards and noises is not covered by terms and conditions. Spend over 7 Hours on the customer service, and everytime one of the customer service people get tired of speaking with me - they put me on hold, and transfer me to another department. Have been promised to get a call from a manager several times, but no call.

Do not buy anything from them.

Don’t waste your time!

Don’t waste your time!! I purchased 2 sets of furniture days apart and they are both damaged. Both reported at the same time but they are only agreeing to fix one. I purchased extra warranty protection on both. They are a joke! Don’t do business with them. They will find reasons not to help.

William Bissell from El Paso, Very Disappointed customer.

My name is William from El Paso. I have for Years dealt with the Conn's Store on Gateway west in El Paso Tx. They have always been friendly, helpful, & done pretty good. On February 2nd, 2019, I bought a new washer, dryer, & a nice LG side by side refrigerator. I also purchased the Extended warranty on all the items. Their service department has always given me good service, I have always given their service personnel good CSI scores. Well, this morning when I got up, I noticed water all over the kitchen floor In front of the refrigerator. I thought what the heck is going on. So, I opened the fridge & everything felt lukewarm, opened the other door and everything in the freezer had thawed out and was leaking everywhere. I check the setting & everything was set properly, I got the owner's manual out went through the troubleshooting guide, everything looked fine. So, I called the Conn's service department to arrange a service call & they inform me the extended warranty expired already. I asked how that could be, that you always send a letter before it expires so I can renew it if I want too & the customer service lady on the phone could not answer the question. All she could say was its going to cost a $99.00 service fee. I asked how can a refrigerator that is barely 4 years old that I am still paying on every month go bad & be out of my extended warranty already. She still could not answer the question, just kept repeating the $99.00 service fee. Oh & finally suggested I call the store where the items where purchased. So I called the Conn's store on the gateway west in El Paso, waited for nearly 22 minutes to speak to a manager. Finally spoke to a Mr. Trujillo He informed me that all he could to was to send a email to service to see if they could do anything for me. Or I could call back later and speak to the sales manager.
Long Story short was on the phone for over a hour and a half. with their customer service department with no resolution, after being a customer for years & buying a TV, Laptop, Gas Range, Washer & Dryer, two 14.000 BTU AC units, & this LG Refrigerator, All they do is blow people off. They have no interest in keeping customer satisfaction. Or retaining customers. They seem to forget El Paso is not that big & word of mouth gets around quickly. People are not going to shop somewhere that people doesn't give a damm about after you purchase something. Will keep everyone updated if anything changes.

I paid my conn's bill OFF march3,2023, in fact I OVER PAID!!!!! I called to let them know that on march 7th 2023. I unstand all the steps to get that refund ck approved, the frist week of April someone called me and said the ck was on the way ok thank u!!!.....now each time u call in about something the frist thing they ask is for u to VERIFY !!!!! information!!! I HV LIVED AT THIS ADDRESS FOR 4!!!! YEARS!!!! THEY HV THAT ON FILE!!!!! WHY SOME STUPID ASS!!!!! SEND THE CK TO A ADDRESS I HV NOT LIVED AT FOR 10YRS.!!!!!!! now it's going to take another 3to4 weeks to get my money!!!!! IT'S NOW APRIL 17th!! A'M SOOOO!!! DONE!! WITH CONN'S!!!!!

Horrible Warranty Service Reflects Poorly on Conn's

My experience with Conn's has been mostly good that is why I rated it 3 stars. They have quality products. However, buyers beware of their warranties. I purchased am LG Refrigerator, dishwasher, and a microwave. They are not very accommodating with their installations. So, I want to recommend that you are certain you want them to install it. They subcontract out their installations. If you have to reschedule an install, it takes them a month or more to reschedule it. If you buy the warranty, they will never refund your money. In addition, the company will not give you product in exchange for the value you paid. It has been over 3 months and I still have not been refunded. We ended up installing it ourselves. No follow up with the Management, either. I will re-consider buying from them again.

Returned product and won’t remove it off account …

I purchased a fire place with insurance on it from Conns. When I bought the fireplace I was told I would get it delivered to me with an another piece of furniture I purchased. But it didn’t go like that. They sent the fire place from a warehouse unassembled and I call the store and told them I couldn’t
Put that fireplace together let alone pick up the boxes that were sent to the apartment office. So I had fedex pick it up and return to sender. I took a picture of the box with address and phone number. I called that number to see if the warehouse received their fireplace back and the lady/worker who answered said Conns just called and asked me about this situation and I told her it was sent back unopened. I asked her/worker to send me an email that the fireplace was received and she did. I sent that same email to Conns zen desk.com. And told the billing department, the claims department and the customer service department and nobody listens they just keep transferring me all over the company. The lady/ worker from the warehouse also said she spoke to someone name Sara from Conns regarding the fire place being sent back unopened. The worker from the warehouse told me they were credited back for fireplace. The fire place, insurance and delivery fee are still on my account. I have called so many times and emailed Conns zen desk and talked to so many workers from billing to claims and I am still being charged for it.
I also bought a sectional from them that squeaks when you sit on it. They sent some skinny kid out here to assess it. He jumped up and down on my couch and he heard noises and told me they would come out to change the springs. He also told me I was being a little picky but I have never had furniture that squeaks when you sit on it or get up from it. I am out of 5000 dollars just like that. The furniture is so awful and the pillows are stuffed with stuffing from a dogs toy. It’s not even a pillow. I got got! Please can some one reach out. I don’t know what else to do. Please

This is a SHIESTY company

This is a SHIESTY company. Beware. I have been on the phone with them several times now to pay off my balance without interest. Conveniently, their electronic system is down, and their customer service cannot take a payment, so I need to call back to make the payment. Here's the catch... I am told they will reinstate my no interest payoff for 24 hours but it takes 48-72 hours to go through. I never received a call back that it was reinstated. At 72 hour, as I was instructed, I called back in and since it was only reinstated for 24 hours, it is now no longer honored. I absolutely want to beat my head, their heads, and anything else available against the wall. This is NOT the way you handle business. I am NOW informed that customer service has no way of calling customers back, so why was I told YOU would call ME back???? To make matters worse, you have my cc and banking info ON FILE for auto-pay!!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Their customer service is the worst. I have recorded conversations with managers and reps from Conns laughing at me when I try to get them to correct mistakes made on my account that were validated. A manager named Kathy employee number 115589 told me I would be the last person I'd speak with at Conns regarding the accounting errors they made when I asked to speak with her boss because she didn't want me to file the complaint against her obviously. The first complaint was on request 1472076 where I got a $100 credit for the bad experience but seems like after you get a credit, Conns can mistreat you all they want to moving forward with no additional credit for their mistake.

So I asked for them to come pick up their equipment and they said no you can return it yourself under a repossession which goes against my credit. So now they are forcing me to do business with them when I said I didn't want to anymore because they keep mistreating me on the phone.

I asked for a call back from the upper management team that reviewed the account and still waiting for that call. They say they strive for quality customer service but that's a lie. They don't care about their customers at all and they will try to rip you off by adding additional fees to your contract. Don't fall for the Conns trap they are the worst people to do business with and I hope they get sued for this and go out of business now.

I'll never do business with Conn again and I'm going to post bad reviews to as many places as I can. If they don't want to give me the credit or come pick up this equipment then I'm going to let everyone know so they don't fall for the same trap I did. I have all these calls recorded so I'll be posting the calls as well so the people can hear how they treat customers. They need to be exposed or they will keep doing it.

Conn Artists

On February 23, 2023 I called Conn's Homeplus on Padre Island Drive in Corpus christi, TX and spoke with a salesman named David. I told him what I wanted, GE front load washer and I could not afford more than $100 per month on payments. He kept putting me on hold to talk to his manager and he told me he had a contract ready for me to sign for 24 months at $95 per month. My friend, Alice Thomas, took me to the store on Saturday February 25, 2023. David started having problems with the contract, so he enlisted the help of his manager, Brandon. Brandon continued rewriting the contract and sent them to my email address. I found 9 different contracts in my email. When I signed the final contract, the told me that I only have to sign one time and the computer captures my signature and will put it everywhere it needs to be. My payment with tax ended up being $100.43. Finally, after nearly 5 hours, my friend and I got to leave the store. The washer was supposed to be delivered on February 26th but I kept getting excuse after excuse and it was finally delivered 8:30pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. On March 2, 2023 I received an email welcoming me to American first Finance and my first payment due on a lease to own package for 12 months is $198.43! I was stunned! I only get $900 a month from social security and I cannot afford a payment of $198.43. I am sure, after I left, the manager, Brandon, used my signature, saved by the computer to rewrite this very incorrect lease! I immediately called American first Finance and the woman said all she can do is file a complaint. I told her the whole story. She advised me to call Conn's Homeplus and tell Brandon what happened, he is the only one that can rewrite the contract. I called Brandon, he told me David was no longer with the company. He told me to hold on and he would look over the contract and fix it. He put me on hold for over an hour and I just figured that he was fixing the contract. Finally, I got tired of waiting, hung up and called back. They told me Brandon left for the day over an hour ago. He put me on hold and left. I have tried to call him several times and he ignores my calls and refuses to call me back! Please help me!

Terrible shopping experience, bad customer service.

Wow it looks like we're all in the same page. Garbage customer service. We were shopping for a TV this past Sunday earjy in the morning and we found one we liked here. We placed the order well within the order window to have it ready for pick up the same day. We even drove to the distribution center in Butterfield Circle, El Paso TX to let them know it was the only day we had a driver to help us pick up the TV. None of us were going to be home to receive a delivery that costly after after that. The lady at the front counter was incredible rude to say the least giving us an answer before we even asked a question. We didn't even want to bother waiting in the lobby she was so terrible. We stayed there for 6 plus hours watching while the warehouse guys took smoke breaks. The entire time only one person went to pick up an appliance. That area is full of warehouses and I've seen how they work with little to no supervision if the warehouse guys don't feel like picking your order that day they won't. They don't care. Needless to say we were very disappointed when they shut the lights and closed the door for the day on us. This was our shopping experience with Conn's here in El Paso TX. No excuse.

Do not buy from Conns! Horrible Experience!

Do not buy from Conns! The name says it all. We purchased a Samsung washer and dryer and received a damaged dryer. It is very clear that the damage was done by a forklift. We were in the process of building a laundry room so did not see the damage until we removed it from the box and took off the tape. Since we did not report it within 24 hours, they refuse to replace it. They are saying we should have checked for damage when we picked it up. The damage was under the tape!!! We would have had to take the dryer out of the box and all the packaging. So now we are stuck with a damaged dryer that does not work. We spent our entire savings to purchase a new washer and dryer. Trying to deal with Samsung has been a nightmare. They DO NOT care about their customers. We are so upset about this and cannot afford to fix it. I've been in tears for days. Absolutely sick about this.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Could not get a delivery date even though papers were signed,the main item I ordered (on clearance) became unavailable in the meantime. Representatives seemed unconcerned and not well trained. Customer service is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!

The worst customer service you can…

The worst customer service you can imagine. They ordered the wrong bed and even admitted it. The bed we wanted was similar, but they delivered the wrong bed. The delivery was so early we weren't ready for them yet. They rushed us so they could move on to their next delivery. When I called to tell them they made a mistake, they admitted they did but because I signed for it. The sorry excuse of a district manager refuses to help make this right and is blaming me now like it is my fault they wrote down the wrong number. He is trying to sweep me under the rug. I was also told that this wasn't the 1st time a wrong tag number was written down. This manager is running a circus and doesn't want to help a customer make things right that's been buying from them for about 10 years. This district manager is only concerned about his bonus and that not customer satisfaction. Well, I will keep complaining to cooperate till he makes this right. That even means filing a complaint every day.
