If you take data integrity seriously…

If you take data integrity seriously stay away
If you take data integrity seriously, I would strongly advise against using this company.

During the years we used their software, we encountered multiple instances where data in proposals was incorrect. One particularly serious issue occurred when we sent out a data processing agreement to all our customers. The PDF download showed completely different list numbers than those displayed in the signing interface (see screenshot). This made us look extremely unprofessional. Support was not helpful, stating they “could not change signed documents.” When we argued that the PDF should accurately reflect what was actually signed, our concerns were simply ignored.

In another case, after a system update, the currency in our documents was automatically changed from euros to dollars — resulting in proposals showing 15% less revenue. Fortunately, our customers were understanding and agreed to sign corrected documents.

We also experienced issues with the Salesforce integration, where PDFs were not properly synced. Again, support offered no real solution, and we had to manually download hundreds of documents ourselves.

When we decided to switch platforms, we attempted to bulk download all contracts with their ‘bulk download feature’. The number of downloaded files matched the number of offers, but all PDFs turned out to be duplicates of the same document. We only discovered this when a customer requested a copy of their contract during the transition period. When we raised this with support, their response was simply that we “shouldn’t use that feature.”

We ultimately moved to PandaDoc, which has been a huge relief. Our proposals look more professional, editing is smoother, the software is more affordable, and onboarding was completed within a week. In hindsight, we should have switched much earlier.

Billing Practices Are a Dealbreaker…

Billing Practices Are a Dealbreaker (Unauthorized Seat Added at Renewal)We’ve been a Conga customer for ~15 years, and I’m disappointed to say the billing experience has deteriorated to the point where I would not recommend this product based on account management and invoicing practices alone.

At renewal, our invoice suddenly reflected six (6) licenses even though we have operated on five (5) licenses for years and had cancelled the 6th seat back in 2022. We paid what we understood was required for the original term, but we did not authorize an ongoing 6th license and we do not need it.

When we raised the issue, the response was essentially: you signed two order forms at some point, therefore you owe for six seats, and that co-terming “resulted in a single invoice.” That may explain how it happened internally, but it does not justify billing a customer for an extra seat they didn’t request, don’t use, and previously cancelled.

This is the exact kind of problem that creates distrust:

An extra license reappears at renewal without clear authorization,

The vendor declares it “legitimate debt” rather than investigating the discrepancy, and

The burden is pushed onto the customer to prove they don’t owe for something they didn’t ask for.

If you’re considering Conga, go in with your eyes open: the product may work for your workflow, but you should be prepared to audit every renewal invoice line-by-line and insist on written confirmation of seat counts and cancellations.

Rating: 1/5 — not because the software can’t function, but because billing/account handling is unreliable and unnecessarily adversarial.

Strongly recommend avoiding this company

Basic software that provided basic needs. Multiple attempts to meet with Client Support staff but they did not attend or were very late to meetings which were organised at 5:30 am my time. Also, be aware of the contractual terms and they are very unfavourable and not good to deal with. I strongly recommend avoiding this company.

I recently booked a product demo with…

I recently booked a product demo with Conga, but unfortunately, the experience was very poor. During the initial call, the Business Development representative was unable to provide any meaningful information about the product or indicative pricing, focusing solely on a discovery conversation. This lack of preparedness led me to ask my team to leave the call to avoid wasting their time.
Despite the disappointing first interaction, I agreed to a follow-up meeting after making it very clear that our need to implement a CLM was urgent and we didn't have much time to waste so a proper product demo was next step. However, in the second meeting, a more senior Business Development representative merely repeated the same discovery questions without providing the promised demo and actually had no intelligence from the previous call.

In contrast, I’ve spoken with several of Conga’s competitors who managed to cover discovery, product information, and a demo all in a single call and arranged a followup if required. The experience with Conga was disappointing in the least, unprofessional, and a significant waste of time.

Awful support which is not eager to help at all. They just don’t care. Documentation is also far from being good.

Creating a product without the proper support for its users is completely senseless and kills all of the interest and value.
Highly recommend so think quadruple if to use it (aka always have a butthurt with anything that is problematic in conga) or to choose better solution with a great support.

Conga Grid is a powerful tool for data management

My experience was with Conga Grid in Salesforce. It is a powerful Salesforce tool that centralizes data management. It helps to visualize, navigate, and manage data across different Salesforce objects, enhancing productivity and efficiency. However, it could benefit from some improvements like auto-updating and enhanced mobile scalability. I write reviews of Salesforce apps and have a full overview with my thoughts and installation instructions of Conga Grid on portal SFApps.info. For those who are thinking about it or its alternatives it could be helpful.

Conga Support is absolutely awful, unless you pay extra

Conga is the best Doc Gen solution for integrating with Salesforce, but that's not saying much. It's outdated, very glitchy (OMG, so glitchy!!), and their basic support is absolutely awful. It's so bad that you'll end up paying your administrator more for the countless hours wasted with the basic customer support team than you would if you just bought a support package. And you may loose your administrator to another company who doesn't torture their staff with months (literally!!) of inane communication with a "customer support" team that doesn't know jack, can't communicate effectively in English, and doesn't end up resolving the issues.

TLDR: if you aren't willing to pay extra for customer support, don't use Conga products. Just don't.

I had a demo with conga and it was…

I had a demo with conga and it was great. Looked a bit complicated but i was sure i could handle it. I then asked them to postpone the start of the contract by two weeks until i am back from vacation. And that was ignored. i was contacted right away a few times by different people from there to get me going i kept telling them to eait two weeks. After my vacation, i finally was able to schedule a training session. That went very well. I was promised a link to a video recording of the training and some links to other helpfull documents to get me going. I did not get anything. I sent email after email to the various people there to get the information and nobody responded at all over the last two weeks.... so i cancelled our check to them and cancelled the contract. They talk a good game at beginning, but they have been absolutely the worst company in communication and follow up that i have ever been involved with.

Good product and great support but…

Good product and great support but Conga become this big company interested in large systems and leaving smaller businesses behind, 10 licences is now a minimum an we are unable to decrease any lower than that. As a small and struggling business in these though times, we don't thank you for not doing your bit.

A fantastic contract management life…

A fantastic contract management life cycle tool - improves productivity, proves contract negotiation isn't as scary as it seems, we love the ease of the installation to the efficient processes we can build around Conga Contracts and more importantly, WITHIN Conga Contracts. Looking forward to enabling Conga AE and Grid, understanding how these will work for us - excited times ahead!

READ BEFORE SIGNING

READ BEFORE SIGNING

I have used just about all of the Conga products for the past few years. The tech was very good back when I first signed up but now has much more competition from others on the exchange. My main reason for the one star is I tried to change my number of licenses this year within the allotted time and was scuffed off. I spoke with the territory manager earlier in the year about my use case and she said she would get back to me on anything and everything Conga might be able to provide. (I never heard back from her) I made an appointment with my rep in Novemeber and no one ever joined my call. Then conga sends me an invoice for a bunch of licenses that I don't use. When I said I need to change a few around they told me it could not be done and that I have to pay for products I have no use for. Keep in mind that I am not trying to lower my overall expense...I am happy to pay whatever I was already paying. I just want to change Conga Composer to Collaborate since I no longer use Composer. The overall way that this company treats you is unbelievably poor.
Panda Docs is a less expensive proposal software than collaborate and DaDa Docs and Airslate in my experience is great for document generation. I can't imagine being treated with less concern from a company. Generally, my experience with anything on the SF exchange is perfect. I understand I have a small business and my company's contribution to Conga's bottom line is most likely a rounding error in their eyes but I still think this was handled poorly.

Great Product

Not only is the product exactly what we need, but the customer service and assistance we have received from the Conga team has been excellent. They are always willing and able to troubleshoot issues with you. Honestly, I have had some of the best customer service experiences with Conga that I've had with any of my salesforce vendors.

Good product. Just make sure you understand your contract terms.

We were initially extremely disappointed with this company's approach to customer service. Once we realized that we were not using this product we tried to cancel the contract. We had unfortunately just renewed (in error - internal communications problem) and despite the fact that they could see that we never used the product and understood that we had made a mistake in renewing they initially refused to concede any refund on our contract.

Fortunately, this was eventually reviewed by senior management and they decided to compromise on their initial position. We would have preferred a full refund given that we did not use the product but at this stage, we are happy to have received a partial refund and move on. We would consider this product in the future.

Quick and efficient production of branded, standardised documents

Conga provide the tools needed to quickly and efficiently produce branded, standardised documents from my Salesforce data. The button parameters available let me choose if my Salesforce users should have to choose a template, who to send it to/where to save it, what format it should be produced in etc, or whether I want to pre-set all these things so all the user needs to is press a button; further to this, I can use workflow to negate my user pressing a button at all, rather run Conga from a field state change instead.
Conga also have an excellent Support team. If you can't find what you need in their documentation, fire an email to the team and they respond very quickly, with what you need plus contextual examples of usage.

Love Composer, but...

Love Composer, but its a beast of a tool & hard to learn. The documentation isn't great, and it's hard for someone new to pick up on how Conga works. That said, if you know what you are doing, you can build some pretty great things.
