I hadn't used Computer Direct before, and was a little hesitant to use an unknown supplier, but the experience was great - I ordered my monitor (Dell Ultrasharp U3225QE) in the morning, it was shipped that evening and received the next day. The monitor is great and I look forward to using it for many years. Thanks for a great shopping experience Computer Direct 👍
Attempted to buy an HP laptop, two units showing as "In stock" for NZ$3,834.46 each on the Computer Direct website. Computer Direct contacted me one day later saying the price is now NZ$4,979.79, an increase of 34% or NZ$1,145.33 ! Computer Direct then say zero stock and try to blame a "Distributor" for their error. No laptop for me at any price. Buyer beware.

Brian has provided a very distorted account of the facts in this case. Brian's order was processed in the normal way but unfortunately the HP distributor found the last available stock unit, which was on special, to be damaged. This was explained to Brian but he refused to accept this fact. Brian invented the notion that we were using illegal bait advertising tactics, which was never the case. He refused to speak on the phone but instead threatened to complain to the Commerce Commission and provide a negative review unless we fulfilled his demands. I mentioned my recent widow-maker heart attack to assure Brian that I was not interested in upsetting anyone over money at this stage in my life. Brian emailed back comments like, "As the consumer I don’t need to know your medical history or listen to explanations..." I suspect Brian would have been more upset if he had been sent the damaged unit instead.
