Excellent compost. Ideal for borders and vegetable patch. The product is matched with, in my case, a first class ordering and delivery service, which I cannot fault.

I ordered the Jubilee Compost with Grit which saves me trying to mix an equivalent compost/grit ratio separately. It looks like very high quality compost, perfect for my clay soil - I was very pleased to see that there was no unwanted detritus included (which I have had in the past from other suppliers). A cheerful delivery chap got the pallet right next to my grass so I didn't have a kerb to contend with with the wheelbarrow and as an added bonus the bag was re-useable for garden waste. I plan to order more once the snow has gone.

Ive used them before and they are excellent.I had veggie gold for my veg plot and the results were amazing, especially on virgin ground. This time I have had border gold as Im building a new bed that has a lot of clay in. The delivery and service is first class. The quality of the compost is fantastic and they fill the 850 lt bag to the absolute brim. Great company to order from. Thank you

Easy to navigage website - with good information on the mix of the compost. It was a surprise to find that delivery would be by another company - and they didn't give any real warning of delivery time. However product appears to meet our requirements but not obviously as middle of winter grown anything in it as yet!

Compost Direct are a reliable company to order good quality compost from for your garden/ raised beds etc. Always helpful and the delivery drivers are polite and accommodating.

A really good experience with compost direct.
The delivery man made an extra effort to drop the bag where I requested and was very polite.
I have had 20 wheelbarrows of easy to shovel dark top soil. There has been no surprises in the bag.
The soil has spread well and working with this company has been a pleasant experience.

My neighbour has used Black Gold in the past and recommended this product/company to me. As a professional gardener, I have found the product to be comparable to other common composts. Although I have not yet conducted growing trials. My neighbour has had some good results from his plants in the past year!

My recent experience of Compost Direct has so far been good. The communication has been excellent from the initial on-line ordering, confirmation of order to the despatch and subsequent fast delivery time. The product delivered last week appeared consistent, friable, and light in texture, with no foreign bodies and was easy to work into the soil. I will use Compost Direct in the future.

I’ve ordered 3 times from Compost Direct and will do so again. The Black Gold is great compost as recommended by our gardener. The service and delivery have been excellent with the compost left in a suitable place for onward distribution!

The whole experience was very positive . I purchased a bulk bag of bark .Delivery was quick and efficient and the driver left the bag exactly where I requested. The bark was good quality and is now protecting the plants from the frost and snow .This was about the 4th time I have purchased an item from CompostDirect and I would highly recommend them

Every year I order several bags of compost from Compost Direct, I have always found the compost products first-class and good value. The delivery staff are extremely helpful.
A good garden starts with healthy soil.

After I placed my order I was kept well informed of its progress, the delivery company phoned me the day before, to let me know they were delivering, delivery was successful and the driver got the compost to where I needed it, he was happy to do so.
It arrived in less than a week.
The product is fantastic.
I am impressed by the whole experience especially in these difficult times.

I ordered a bulk bag of VeggiePro. The web site was good, I received notification of delivery date and it arrived as planned. The compost is excellent. I cannot fault the service and will use again.

To update you new customers, really avoid using Compost Direct.
'DIRECT TO YOUR DOOR' is not true. I sent the second bag back on the van because the 1st bag was delivered miles away from my property - their delivery method was ridiculous, like moving a piano on a shopping trolley! They told me it would cost £42 to pick up the original bag so I decided to move the compost myself. HOWEVER THEY HAVE NOW CHARGED ME £42 TO TAKE BACK THE 2ND BAG I NEVER RECEIVED WHICH WAS NOT EVEN TAKEN OFF THEIR VAN.
Customer Service is terrible... avoid, avoid, avoid...

We used the Black Gold product and it was really good quality amorphous black steaming compost. Very light and easy to spread. Ordering and delivery paralleled the excellence of the compost. I cant imagine a better all round service.

It had been raining for days and I was worried it would arrive soaking wet.Arrived very dry and the driver actually put it directly into my garage.This is very well rotted and mixed, no stones, sticks or rubbish.Lovely rich dark colour that was very lite and easy to spread making my raised beds look like a display.
I will buying more.
