Compare the Dough is a UK finance broker specialising in second charge mortgages, homeowner loans, and debt consolidation for homeowners. We're based in Sheffield and work with clients right across England, Scotland and Wales. We started Compare the Dough because we saw too many homeowners paying over the odds — high-interest credit cards, unsecured loans at 25-30% APR, or fixed rates that were set years ago and never reviewed. When you own your home, you've earned options most people don't realise are available. Our job is to find those options for you and put a proper number on them so you can make a proper decision. We're a trading name of LSA Money Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Every recommendation is fully advised and fully documented — the same rigorous standards as any major broker. But we're a small, personal team. You'll speak to the same broker throughout your case, never a rotating call centre. What we do: - Second charge mortgages from £10,000 to £500,000 - Debt consolidation for homeowners - Home improvement loans - Loans for weddings, cars, business investment or family support - Personal loan referrals when a secured loan isn't the right fit What makes us different: - No upfront fees — we only get paid when your loan completes - Whole-of-market — we work with Selina Finance, Norton, United Trust Bank, Together and other specialist lenders - Honest advice — if a secured loan isn't right for you, we'll say so To talk through your options with no obligation, call us on 0114 478 7453 or visit comparethedough.co.uk.

I couldn’t be happier with the service…

I couldn’t be happier with the service we received from Leigh. He was professional, knowledgeable, and always took the time to explain everything clearly, making what could have been a stressful process feel straightforward.

Communication was excellent throughout, and we were kept updated every step of the way. Leigh worked hard to find the best mortgage deal for our circumstances and he was always quick to answer any questions.

I would highly recommend Compare the Dough to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy broker.
Thank you again for all your help, Leigh!
