Going downhill fast!
Australia Post seems to be going downhill fast, as far as parcel deliveries go anyway.
Communication and delivery times used to be great and almost always delivered at the time they specified.
Now we get ad hoc communications (sometimes none and the parcel just arrives or never does) along with unfathomable and wasteful delivery journeys.
For example, I purchased an item from a retailer at BATHURST on Wednesday morning which was to be delivered to me at Mudgee. The parcel was picked up by Auspost later that morning and approved for shipping at 12:50 pm that day.
Next entry was that it had arrived at a SYDNEY sorting facility on the Thursday late afternoon. Next entry it arrived back at BATHURST on the Friday 1:00 am and it's still stuck there.
So Auspost wasted two days and their time and effort shipping the item from Bathurst to Sydney and back to Bathurst again!
If Bathurst had simply put the parcel on the next Mudgee bound van I would have received it Thursday morning.
As it is, because of their crazy shipping zig-zags I'll be lucky to receive it by the next Monday!
This is not the first time this has happened either. I ordered an expensive ceiling fan from a retailer in Brisbane. The delivery journey showed it went from Brisbane to Sydney and back at least FOUR times. Finally it was officially declared lost and the retailer had to ship me a 2nd fan at their cost.
They badly need someone with an ounce of brains to come in and sort out their parcel routing madness and failing messaging service.
Not good enough.
Delivery issue
I don't know what their problem is with people. Not only me, but all the neighbors in our building have problems with them. They don't send any parcels to any address, but they charge the delivery fee but don't provide any service. This is called theft. It's not fair at all 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Scammers
If you are an oversea customer, they wont do a thing to help you for a lost package. Avoid those scammers at all cost.
I am writing regarding my parcel…
I am writing regarding my parcel (Tracking ID: 337****187). The delivery was marked as Receiver declined delivery and redirected to a nearby facility, which is puzzling since this is an office with a staffed reception, an intercom, and my door clearly visible from the main foyer. It appears that no delivery attempt was actually made.NOW.... "HOW LONG DO I NEED TO WAIT TO RECEIVE AND EMAIL FOR": Nearby collection point? Been many many hours!
Lost my parcel
Lost my parcel. All responses automated. Their only message is for me to contact the sender. Pathetic.
The worst customer service
The worst customer service. They’ve lost several of my packages and then when I contact them to ask for a resolution they tell me to call the police.
Delay delivery
Australia post keeps moving my package around and around from 1 post office to another for days before they deliver. Whereas other courier services take over from custom and deliver straight to my house the same day.
Even speaking to Australia post, this keeps on happening. They blocked 🚫 me from sending messages to them.
I am beyond furious and utterlyFail Post is an absolute disgrace…
I am beyond furious and utterly disgusted with this pathetic excuse for a postal service. I sent an Express Post Overnight envelope from Sydney to Darwin on a Monday, a simple, time-sensitive document that should have arrived the next day. It didn’t arrive until Friday. Five days for something I paid a premium for because it was meant to be overnight.
When I called to question it, I was met with the same robotic script they always hide behind, “it’s not guaranteed.” What a joke. They’ll happily charge you extra for a service they have no intention or capability of delivering. No accountability, no integrity and zero customer service. Australia Post is beyond useless, it’s a complete failure of an organisation. Incompetent, unreliable and utterly indifferent to the people who keep them in business. They have turned what used to be a respected service into a national embarrassment. If there was a zero-star option, they wouldn’t even deserve that.
Lost the parcel and when I tried to…
Lost the parcel and when I tried to track it the staff were super rude, told me to wait twice and then just said they could not find it because too much time had passed. I do not recommend to use this service if you do not want to lose all your stuff
disgraceful and incompetent
This is a disgraceful, incompetent outfit. My parcel arrived in FNQ at midnight on Thursday. It is now Tuesday and there has been no further movement. I don’t know whether it is actually in Cairns - FNQ could be Weipa as far as I know. It took nearly a week to get to FNQ from northern NSW (via Sydney!!).
Why don't they deliver it right??
Usually I don't have too many problems with Aus post, but this time I just had a package missed delivery (even though I was home) *and* I now have to pick it up at a post office 10 KILOMETERS away!
What the hell? There's a post office 800m from here, why didn't they use this?
Abysmal Service & Customer Service.
Abysmal Service & Customer Service.
I have been buying wine direct from wineries since the mid 1980s, and from online retailers for over 20 years.
In that time, I have usually had good service from AusPost.
Sadly, I can no longer make that statement.
Twice in the last year I have had my purchase from a Yarra Valley winery damaged in transit.
Twice in the last 2 weeks, my purchases have been damaged in transit.
In every case, the shipments have made it all the way to my local depot (Narangba) before damage is either identified or occurs.
Once is an accident. Twice is coincidence. More than that, with the same depot in play, is a pattern.
Tracking allows me to identify when things go awry. Yesterday, the trigger to alert me was a recorded 'customer enquiry' l7sted on the journey. I didn't lodge an enquiry. A check with the sender confirmed they hadn't either.
So it's then get on the phone time - and the obscene frustration at a circular, obstructive customer service/complaints process.
If you finally get a human to speak to you, they can't answer questions, can't provide updated information, or seek.to blame the sender. I was flabbergasted to be told the sender probably didn't know how to pack the consignment to minimise risk of damage. I had to point out the realities to the young lady - The winery has been operating since the 1960s. They have been sending their products around Australia for 60+ years, so probably figured out how to pack their product. Add the fact that every incident has involved the same facility... well, joining dots is not hard.
Both the sender & I have advised we want delivery to be completed, so we can sort out replacement options directly - and to save the sender being charged freight costs for return of the delivery (because AusPost won't own the damage & inconvenience caused).
That I have to write a review on a 3rd party site, because the AusPost site doesn't allow for reviews speaks volumes about their corporate morals & responsibility
It’s painfully slow and the delivery 📦…
It’s painfully slow and the delivery 📦 was delivered to next door regardless the label was printed correctly and my house number was visible from the moon now I have put an extra large number on the fence but I’m not sure if it will help as they still have to read the label on the package
Lost all 15 items I sent on the same…
Lost all 15 items I sent on the same day. Response from Auspost that its not possible and its my fault. Out of pocket a lot of money because of this.
I recently sent an Express Post parcel…
I recently sent an Express Post parcel with next-day delivery because my client urgently needed it by the following day. Unfortunately, it was not delivered on time.
When I contacted customer support, I was advised that Australia Post had failed to dispatch the parcel from Sydney to Melbourne, a serious oversight for a guaranteed next-day service.
The only resolution offered was a refund of $16.17, which hardly compensates for the inconvenience or the impact on my client relationship. There was no clear explanation, accountability, or escalation pathway provided, just a refund and an apology.
For a national service that promotes reliability and speed, this experience was deeply disappointing. Their system is too rigid and cumbersome to resolve real-world problems, especially for businesses that depend on timely delivery.
Why is Auspost’s Fyshwich facility so slow?
Lodging a general complaint about poor parcel delivery services out of Fyshwich sorting facility is near impossible with Auspost. Parcels are held at Fyshwich for days without any movement ( as per tracking). Why is the Fyshwich facility so inefficient? Parcels move more quickly to Fyshwich from interstate than they do within Canberra. What’s up with Fyshwick?
What a joke of a company
What a joke of a company. Run by the government witch means it's run by hillbillys next day delivery more like next week or when we get it to you. Waiting for medication hope I don't die before they come. Well then I would have to deal with this
Multiple times they have let me down
Multiple times they have "attempted delivery" by not even coming to my house. someone is always home in my house, no photo showing that they were actually at my house, no "we missed you" card and I was at home all day on the occasions they claimed to have attempted delivery.
