I was expecting a typical bakery…
I was expecting a typical bakery counter but found a small courtyard filled with greenery instead, complete with a lime tree in the middle and some shade over the limited seating. It’s a compact space, though, so finding a table later in the morning can be difficult. The bread is the main reason I’d return, especially the rye that stays fresh for days and the sourdough they’re happy to slice for you at the counter. The pastries are worth arriving early for too, as the baking winds down around eleven and the selection becomes much smaller afterward. Coffee is served quickly and has been consistently good.
Another useful thing is the early opening hours, including on weekends. Being able to get a proper coffee at half past six on a Sunday is surprisingly handy, especially for an early start.
