I went to Morley WA branch to deposit…

I went to Morley WA branch to deposit some Christmas money for my granddaughter who lives in Victoria. When I gave the teller the account details for the deposit, I was asked..Do I have an account, to which I replied, No I haven't.. The teller replied I cannot put money in my granddaughters account .I asked why? The response was they are the rules of the Commonwealth Bank. I am an older Australian an do not do internet banking. Another Bank who treats consumers like their criminals and irrelevant.

Management of the scam

Worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. I was scammed and received no assistance at all. The issues started at the branch, where the wrong transactions were communicated, and ended with the investigative team, which simply dismissed the matter by claiming that I had withdrawn the money. Absolutely disgraceful. I strongly advise against using this bank.

Commbank has done nothing for me.

Commbank has done nothing for me.
When Withdrawing cash from branch they treat you like a criminal, when purchasing cryptocurrency, they make it difficult and block the transaction.
Why am I getting charged interest for my everyday account? Why am I getting charged fees when I have an account that doesn't charge fees?
I advise anyone looking into going with commbank to reconsider, these greedy people don't care about you, just your money!
I have since closed my account.
Look elsewhere and save yourself a headache.

The most incompetent and deceitful bank…

The most incompetent and deceitful bank I’ve ever come across
I’m rating it as 1 because there is no Zero or Minus Stars review available

Direct debit gets deducted twice, and have be on their back and fix it

My wife went into Riverton, WA branch to ask that the interest from our fixed deposit be transferred to our Everyday account. Next day we saw two deductions of $5 and $10 in our account. Upon calling bank call centre staff said it was for giving the instructions. When we queried they reversed the charges.

Then we went to Riverton Branch and queried why the deduction was made, they smugly replied “ ohh there shouldn’t be any charges”

It seems like they are trained to rip off and when caught out pretend it was a mistake

Such behaviour is always reflective of the culture of the board and top executives

HUGE Security Risk -Com bank have…

HUGE Security Risk -Com bank have without my consent or indeed knowledge instituted a NetCode ID system which requires me to log into my bank app -to get a unique code — meaning that online payment windows that do not allow refresh, do not remain open while one logs into the bank app. You need two devices to authorise an online payment and cannot use a phone or just one device More concerningly, multiple log -ins to the bank app SHOULD be a security red flag -this process means that one has to type in passwords and Identifer numbers multiple times. In the past iMessage Codes used to go through to phone messages not to the bank app and that was the selection made. Combank should stand ready to indemnify customers if accounts are compromised due to their ham- fisted and ineffective “security “ measures. I called to complain but gave up after waiting 37 minutes.Pathetic customer service -i will complain to the regulators as complaints to the bank are but a distant dream.

Dual signatory accounts are a pain

As a personal bank they have been fine but as a business bank they have been nothing but trouble.

The most troublesome aspect is having a dual signatory account. At NAB you can create a payment then the other person can login later & approve it. With a commonwealth bank account you both have to be sitting at the same computer & the second person has to enter their login details for each and every payment over and over. This system REALLY needs an update, just take the NAB approach.

I have written to them from my online account and also sent multiple letters to emails which they had made contact with me before. I have changed my device and cannot access my accounts via my mobile. I had also informed them that both of my mobile numbers are active but I receive no sms code on any of my numbers. Please resolve. Thankyou.
