These filters truly may have saved our lives
My spouse and I recently had to replace our furnace because it died. When the Bill's Heating guy came out to do a consultation, he told us our furnace was 57 years old and should have been replaced over 30 years ago (we have owned the house for 3 years, the inspector didn't flag the furnace). He also found a large crack, and we have natural gas.
For about two and a half months, we were BURNING through our colorfil filters. We thought it was weird, but figured there must just be more dirt in the air or something. I had been feeling lethargic and my partner was having headaches, and neither of us could pinpoint what was causing either of those things.
After we learned about the crack in our dinosaur of a furnace, we realized that the colorfil filters were working overtime filtering a very slow gas leak. Their beefy filtering might have saved our lives. We'll never know for certain if the gas leak was serious enough to be lethal, or how long it would have taken to discover if the furnace hasn't died. But I do know that we used a little over twice as many filters as normal during the two and a half months lead up to when the furnace died, and that our filters do have some gas filtering. And that's enough for me to be sold on colorfil for the rest of my life, because I might owe my life, the life of my spouse, and the lives of my cat and dog to those filters.
I was not paid by colorfil to write this, and I'm not affiliated with the company in any way.
