Worst company to deal with.

My wife and I got the tests and sent them in. They have called us more than 12 times with an automated system that requires a "YES"or "NO" answer. Each question is repeated in both English and Spanish. The system does not understand the word "YES". We never authorized them to contact us. This was ordered through our Doctor. We wanted to get them to "STOP" calling us and got a very annoying Customer Service person. While writing this review they called us twice. 4th time today. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Will never use them again.

Zero

If you could give anything below a zero I would. And who in the world are they paying for their marketing?? I could write a better script in less than 10 min. “.,..You the man” I mean someone doesn’t even need any type of education or training in that field. I never write reviews and I, unfortunately , get this af all the time. It’s just embarrassing how little creativity and dumb this ad is. 🤨🙄

Beware of scammers

Cologard is supposed to be every few years, yet less than a year after having the cologard test that was negative I received another test notification that I was due for another test and that it may not be covered by insurance. My husband also received the same mailing after less than a year. There may be scammers out there or Cologard is itself pulling a scam. Don't trust them.

Useless

Cologuard is useless as it cannot tell you the markers that determine either negative or positive...the FDA restricts them from giving you this information. So extremely high incidents of false positives and incidents of false negatives do happen a lot. If I am being analyzed for a medical condition I have the right to know what the markers determined. I dread getting colonoscopy because I have severe scoliosis and things can go very wrong during the procedure. So I guess I will just talk to my doctor and see what my options are and make a decision-but probably not colonoscopy. BTW why is it you can't take a repeat cologuard until 3 years later? Probably because a repeat within a month or 2 would be a different diagnosis.

This company has two higher rate of…

This company has too high a rate of false positives;then I couldn't even receive my results for over 3 months they do not do business correctly and when they have lab work tests it needs to be true and accurate. This company is horrible.I they have done other malicious things also after getting a false positive they wanted me to then use my charge card to pay over $500 and would not give me any information until I paid and my insurance had already paid them. THEY LIE at customer service, increasing their responsibility for being a bad option for any health care!

I've done ColoGuard tests for years

I've done ColoGuard tests for years, always with negative results. This year, instead of a small padded envelope in the mail, I received a large box from UPS. Massive amounts of plastics and papers. Previously, I put the test strip in a small return envelope in my mailbox for pickup. Now I must drive to the UPS office after "disposing of all materials". Which I didn't do and put everything back in the box including a note that the whole mess should be recycled. This company should be called out for a massive waste of resources.

Don't Do It!

Just don't do it! I tried ColoGuard instead of going for my 10 year follow-up colonoscopy. And as many other reviewers have said, I also got a positive result and had to have a colonoscopy.

I has a week of being worried sick between my false positive results to my colonoscopy which I had today 04/22/24. Thankfully absolutely nothing was found! My doctor did tell me that they see many, many false positives.

My PCP recommended a colonoscopy, but I asked for ColoGuard because I am stubborn. I should have listened to her!

My husband took a cologuard test

My husband took a cologuard test, it came back positive so he had to have a diagnostic colonoscopy. The colonoscopy was negative, showed no cancer but a couple small polyps. His dr said polyps often read as positive with cologuard test. Unfortunately because the colonoscopy was diagnostic instead preventative due to the cologuard false positive it is not covered 100%. It cost us $5000. Definitely skip the cologuard test.

Just NO!

Be careful! If you use this company and it comes back positive (huge false positive rate) you will still have to get a regular colonoscopy. However, now it will not be covered 100% by insurance as "preventive" and will be coded "diagnostic". Now you are paying out of pocket. I had to pay $600 deductible. If I would have just gotten a regular colonoscopy to start with it would have cost me $0. I would never ever recommend using this company. Hope this helps.

Don't Do It!!

I never considered cologuard. When visiting a new PCP it was offered. I was never warned of the ramifications of using it or the entirely possible false positive that begins the odyssey of "NOW YOU PAY". Most healthcare plans include preventative colonoscopy as a screening device with no charge to the insured. However once you have a positive from Cologuard it is no longer a preventative screening to the insurance company. The rate of false positives is unacceptable (do some research as I should have). A positive cologuard result means you have to have a colonoscopy anyway. Except now you must meet a deductible or pay the copay or whatever your plan determines. After my colonoscopy I was told there was no concern at all (for which I am grateful), no polyps, no inflammation, no cancer, nothing. My bills now total $1388.00 and that doesn't include the anesthesiologist, or surgeon which I am sure the bills are on the way. All this for a procedure that would have cost me absolutely nothing if I had not used Cologuard.

Being pressured ( almost harassing ) by Cologuard to complete their test and send it in

So, last week my Dr ordered me a Cologuard test. Even before the package arrived, I started receiving texts. I received the test a few days ago. Once it was delivered I started getting texts telling ne to complete it and send it back numerous times a day. So, today was the last straw ! I got another text telling me to take the test and send it back. I have already tried to contact them via their website. If I get one more call, email or text... I will return their unopened test kit back to them. This is a cancer screening text. Not a let's see how far we can pressure someone and upset them. If I could give them negative stars, I would ! So, if your Dr asks you to take this test. You should expect repeated texts daily until you do their test ! Not all humans have multiple bowel movements a day !

Need customer service agents that speak English

Called customer service with a question. After going through their lengthy computer- based phone system, the representative clearly couldn’t speak English well. I asked my question and she said she just didn’t understand, so no answer to my question. Very poor customer service.

Cologuard disappointing

Results report only reported positive or negative. Did not specify which test was positive. Shipping and return was excellent. Customer service was no help to get specific results. Insurance was excellent. Test results was not worth the money.

ColoGuard does not specify which markers you are positive for

ColoGuard detects a number of specific markers for gastrointestinal neoplasms. So far, so good. However, when reporting a positive result they will not tell you which of those markers you are positive for. Therefore, you cannot make an objective judgment about your relative risk. It also detects fecal hemoglobin. Practically everyone in my demographic has hemorrhoids, which is probably the origin of most of the false positives.

False positive rate through the roof

False positive rate is 13%. If you test 100,000 people with an average risk, about 13,000 will have a false positive while the cancer rate might be about 200 for ages over 45. And if you are younger than 45, the rate is 10. Anyway you slice this about 13,000 will not be able to sleep until they get a colonoscopy. You want additional stressors in your life , this is for you. No wonder some insurances don't cover this useless test.

Cologuard Stalks, Harrasses, Intimidates, Torments, and Infantilizes Patients Through Text Messages

My doctor ordered a Cologuard kit when I saw her on November 8, 2023. I have been waiting and waiting, and waiting for this kit to be mailed to me from Cologuard. While I am waiting, I receive aggressive, abusive, harrassing, and humiliating text messages from Cologuard. ( Tues. Nov. 14, 2023 @ 2:13 PM; Saturday November 25, 2023 @ 6:56 PM; Sunday November 26, 2023 @ 2:01 AM disturbing my sleep; Sunday November 26, 2023 while I was at Church; Saturday December 2, 2023 at 12:31 PM; and today @ 11:55 AM even though they have notice that it was mailed yesterday). I FINALLY received the box containing the test and I called the number because they said in their pamphlet that they can schedule UPS to come pick it up if I cannot get to UPS. So, I called and got some woman who did not want to be bothered with me and tried to pass me off to someone else. I hung up. I made a special difficult trip to UPS yesterday and dropped it off. I have the receipt from UPS. Cologuard has a record of this shipment. YET, I just received a text message today from Cologuard at 11:55 AM "Cologuard: Collect your sample in the next 5 days & return promptly. Call 24/7at 1-844-870-8870 for help." There is NO HELP at Cologuard! I know from experience! So I texted them that I already mailed it to them, to stop harassing me, about their employee who wouldn't help me, about how I am tired of their abuse, and they are not entitled to abuse me. I am reporting them for all the earthly hell they put me through from the harassment, bullying, and stalking they tormented me with. I did not deserve any of this. I do not work for them and cannot be held responsible if their employees do not ship a package out quickly. Nor can I be punished for the United States Postal Service taking its sweet old time delivering it to me. UPS dropped it off at the post office since I have a P.O. Box for my mail. I made every effort and I did not get the help I needed from Cologuard. All I got from Cologuard was text stalking and abuse. I have been crying since this latest text message. Why are they permitted to torment me? I need to find a way to block their text messages for my wellbeing.
I want to warn people. If your doctor wants you to do a Cologuard test, consider other options because if you go with Cologuard, they will stalk, harass, humiliate, and bully you through text messages. They are relentless and cruel, and they do not care if a patient feels threatened and violated by them. They continue on with the assaults by texting or "blowing you off" when you call them.
BUYER BEWARE!

False positive for cancer markers

False positive for cancer markers. Then you worry for weeks until you can get a colonoscopy. Turns out to be NOTHING. Many, many flase positives and false negatives. Don't trust your life to this inaccurate scam. Bite the bullet and get the colonoscopy. Except for fasting it really isn't that ad. Most hospitals now have you drink Miralax mixed with something. Miralax is tasteless
After reading all I could find on Cologuard I would never take it again and would urge no one to trust their life to it.
