Misleading and unprofessional sales approach
I received an unsolicited sales email from Colibrix after one of their representatives added products from my website to the shopping cart and went through to the checkout.
Rather than being a genuine prospective customer, this appears to have been done simply to provide an opening for a sales pitch about comparing their payment services with my existing provider.
As a small business owner, I find this an inappropriate way to conduct cold outreach. My shopping cart and checkout are provided for customers who are genuinely considering making a purchase, not for sales representatives to simulate customer activity before contacting me.
There was no need for this approach. A straightforward B2B email introducing the company and its services would have been perfectly sufficient and considerably more transparent.
The representative did state that they would not follow up if the service wasn't relevant, which I acknowledge. However, that doesn't alter my opinion of the way the initial contact was made.
This review relates specifically to my experience of Colibrix's sales approach, which I found intrusive and unprofessional.
