I was so pleased by my experience with Colbert & Co when I was a purchaser in 2021 that they were my first choice when I found myself responsible for selling a house in 2023. Their representative John Hornibrook is courteous, friendly, helpful and utterly dependable. He never seeks to cloak problems behind diplomatic niceties and always returns calls. I cannot speak too highly of professionalism and overall helpfulness.

We recently bought a house and we had also viewed other properties announced by Colbert and Co. We had a great experience working with John Hornibrook, who was very helpful and always in a great mood. Thanks to John the whole property buying process was smooth and much quicker than expected.

Home is where the heart is. It’s a cliché, but like most cliché’s it’s rooted in a deep truth. Our family home had been at the heart and soul of so many memories for 23 years, so, when we decided to move on and sell our beautiful family home, we knew we needed someone who could and would give our home the consideration, care and attention we felt it deserved.
From the moment we met James we instinctively knew that he understood who we were and what we wanted. He also knew who the perfect fit would be to purchase our home. His attention to detail and service level were exceptional throughout the process. His photography and videography team are exceptional, and the professional photographs and videos of the house were outstanding. They truly did the home justice. In fact, they were so good we initially questioned if we were making the right decision to sell.
Our house sold in less than three weeks and James and his team made a potentially challenging situation very smooth and easy for us. We highly recommend Colbert & Co whole heartedly, and though we have probably made our final house move we would have no hesitation in turning to James and his team in the future should the need arise. Colbert & Co. assigned a realistic sale price and time frame for selling our house. During the process they kept us informed at every stage, who was viewing the property, how interested they were and who was likely to show continued interest.
When the sale was agreed they were also excellent to deal with in every respect, extremely proactive in pushing the buyers and us through the legal stages to finally signing contracts.
In summary, excellent service and we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Colbert & Co. to anyone selling their home or property.
A specific thanks would have to go to John, the Sales Director with whom most of our dealing were with but his excellent service was well supported by Jaimee, James and Mary at Colbert & Co.

We were relocating from overseas and certainly felt like outsiders trying to find a new home in an unfamiliar area. James assessed our wants for town characteristics, school options, distance from Cork City Centre, and house layout to find a great fit. James worked tirelessly on our behalf - viewing homes for us, tracking down off-market properties, and keeping us updated along the way. He always acted with our best interests in mind, and always made himself available.

After deciding on a home, James was instrumental in the negotiating process, and helped us reach sale agreed in no time at all. He helped arrange inspections, and coordinated with solicitors from contracting through closing. And his commitment to us continued on, right through our move-in date - even going as far as checking on our house and picking up our mail. He was proactive and supportive with prompt follow up throughout the process.
