I believe they write themselves all…

I believe they write themselves all positive reviews, as from my experience they are totally backwards company. After a month from the accident they provided me with dirty car with over 100k miles on the clock, I rather walk guys.

Unprofessional

If I could give no stars / minus I would!!!!!
Unprofessional, do not trust them.

Accident on 2nd June 2025 and it's now 9th September and still no courtesy vehicle despite the fact that their guaranteed payout!!!!

Stressed me out for months offering Courtney vehicles and when they finally got me 1 it lasted a day as EML, ABS & TCS lights come on. So I had to drop it to the dealer to get repaired and no replacement given / offered!!!!

Also almost got my vehicle crushed as they didn't even liaise with the recovery company to arrange collection/ inspection!

Steer well clear

Complaints department called me today at 4:55pm, I missed the call.
Called back at 5:05pm and that dept had closed!!!! Clearly their agenda is not to help resolve or earn their money.

They dont care about clients, go to a company that cares , these cowboys dont and should not be working in Insurance Claims as they DONT SUPPORT YOU!

Moral of the story, always get legal cover and or claim off the 3rd party don't allow any Accident Management companies to get involved!

Faultless

Probably one of the best companies I have ever had the pleasure of using. Communication second to none. Hire contracts straight forward. Car delivered within hours of accident. Really empathetic and professional staff. Honestly couldn't fault them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

First experience with Cogent

Honestly I think at first my experience with cogent was an absolute joke as they didn't even ask me what vehicle I would have preferred from the fleet of vehicles they have.
However when the courtesy came, it was a tiny Fiat 500
Bare in mind I'm a guy who is 5ft 9 and don't wish to be squeezed into any vehicle even if it is a courtesy car.. I think at this point I just though they could have atleast had the decency to tell me if it was okay even if I had to wait for the courtesy to come

Anyways after speaking to Stephanie, this was all sorted within 5 minutes and I wish everyone was as experienced and knowledgeable as her.
She was amazing at sorting everything out quickly and also Meg who kept giving me follow up calls and checks ups to ensure everything was okay

I understand every business has to make a profit but next time I advise asking customer which vehicle they would prefer but I know sales comes with everything in life, I did speak to a lady who kept saying well you could always upgrade and pay a daily discounted rate but that wasn't the case, we pay for option extras on our insurance policies for a reason and the least you could do as a company is offer what you have rather than saying oh well that is the ONLY vehicle available.. I just couldn't believe that a company who is trusted with providing hire vehicles has less that 5 cars available..it was as if they only had a limited minimum amount of vehicles that they actually wanted to use as courtesy vehicles whilst giving the more newer cars out for hire to make money/profit.

If I hadn't spoken to Stephanie to sort everything out, I would have actually been really dissapointed with this whole.process and also the fact that Meg kept of giving me follow up calls and check ups, made me think okay maybe this is better and they do actually care alot about their customers which they do

1 bit of advice for cogent would be, stop asking customers to do your jobs , for example information that has already been provided should not need to be provided 3-4 times again over and over.. I already gave permission for my bank account details to be used for.my excess protection and cash plus benefit to be paid i to the same account as well as the payout for.my vehicle but still.i kept getting emails because someone just couldn't be bothered checking if the details had already been submitted

Advice to new customes, just ask to speak to Stephanie or Meg directly
Forget wasting your time with anyone else as it's like being passed around like a parcel and going round and round in circles

Whole process without these 2 would have been a 2/10 but with them dealing with it it became a 8/10
Claim was settled within 2 weeks

Keep up the great work guys

Bunch of cowboys

Bunch of cowboys, do not trust them, they do not supprot you , all they do is screw your life up with no care or consideration, You have 6 different companies call you and they dont talk. Its complete joke,

Bunch of lying cowboys and should be shut down , Very quick to say they want the car back but wont give a update on the repair, they dont care about clients, go to a company that cares , these cowboys dont and should not be working in insurance claims as they dont support you

Great customer service.

Cogent Hire is such a professional and customer friendly company. Swiftly set me with a hire car while my insurer worked on my claim. Stephanie was such a lovely person to speak to and was able to support me during the hiring period. After I returned the hire car I came across some issues with the hire company and Yvonne was able to support me fully and was able to sort it out for me and kept me informed every step of the claim. Highly recommend Cogent Hire!

Professional with customer service.

Every staff member I spoke to was helpful and informative. I never felt rushed or stupid for asking questions. Also your staff were the only ones to
give us follow up calls to check where we were with the process (when waiting for the payment for our car to come through) and offered to assist us if we needed help contacting anyone. Good level of customer service and a professional approach.

Absolutely disgraceful service

Absolutely disgraceful service! We are out of pocket and have an issue with a car they are refusing to repair. This ‘No Fault Claim’ bunch of cowboys will not serve you well, stay well away. If I could leave ZERO stars I would.

Chancers

Got a call from these guys out of the blue. Was I prepared to accept liability for car hire while other driver's car was getting fixed - fixed by them, that is. I asked why insurers weren't dealing with it. Ignored my question so I asked what was the damage and how long would the hire be. Caller didn't even know that. So basically they tried to circumvent the insurers and get me to agree to open ended liability. Avoid.

Messed me around for a week with a…

Messed me around for a week with a promise of a vehicle from day 1. Tried to fob me off with the cheapest and only vehicle they could find apparently. Avoid this company at all costs as they definitely do not do what it says on their website. It seems they get approval for a rental budget from the insurer then try and put you in the cheapest vehicle they can find to maximise their profit. Just what you don't want when you've been involved in an accident that isn't your fault! I told them where to go, went back to the insurer and was offered a far superior motor and sorted within 4 hours. With settlement of the claim now being sorted. Companies like these are why insurance premiums keep going up and they offer nothing but hollow promises to prey on the desperate.
