Everything going very well for a long time. Then we had to change a tutor. Then the tutor changed another two times it was a bit disruptive. Hoping things settle down now.

Not a quality experience

It is quite difficult, if not impossible to get any customer service support. There is no contact phone number, the chat function doesn't connect to a human to assist and cancellation action does not occur within their stated time frames.
First session experience was the tutor entered the session over 10 mins late, engaged in discussing how tired they were instead of engaging in learning activities to then end the session early.
Definitely does not live up to the advertised services and quality.
Still awaiting for my request to cancel to be actioned above their service time frame.

Scam

Scam! Customer support is terrible. Cluey maintains that it has telephone support between 9-6 Monday- Friday whereas the best you can hope for is a call back within 24-48 hours. I’ve lodged an ACCC report about that aspect as it seems like many others have had a similar experience.

The reason I was TRYING to contact them is to un-enrol from sessions that I didn’t enrol in the first place. Including. Session during school hours. Up shot is $624 taken from my account when what we asked for was 3 intensive sessions over the school holidays to review prior to term starting.

Hard pass if outside of NSW

We trialled one session. I couldn't see any evidence that there are tutors based in our state which is a problem as each state has a completely different curriculum. The automated system makes the experience very impersonal. It was difficult to message anyone to ask for help. I wouldn't recommend for anyone outside of NSW. If in NSW, it would probably work ok.

My son is enjoying his math tutoring,he is learning a lot and the tutor is very good and has a strong knowledge in maths

Happy so far, but it could be improved

We started using their service to prepare our child for his year 3 napkin exams.

He seem to enjoy his 1-2-1 with the Cluey tutors.

The only reason why I did not give a 5 star is because his tutors have been changed few times since October, and we would have prefer the continuity of having the same tutor teaching him.

Loving Learning!

My daughter recently started one-on -one tutoring in Math and English. She is loving it! She gets excited about the session and loves that she can have input into what is included in the session. The feedback from the Tutors after the session is fabulous. Articulate, detailed and very helpful. My daughters face beams with joy when we read them.

Cluey is amazing, helpful, encouraging, and friendly.

Cluey has been amazing since the very first call to enroll. They asked questions to ensure they understood my childs' needs, and assigned tutors to him who specify in his difficulties. The support team readily helped me out when I had technical issues. The tutors themselves are friendly, patient, and encouraging and make sure my son understands everything and reviews it with him to ensure he hasn't forgotten what he learnt previously. We are currently doing one maths session a week, and one English session the other week, swapping fortnightly... but if i had the money I would sign up for an extra weekly lesson so he gets 1 english and 1 maths lesson each week.

Cluey has been a great help for my son

Cluey has been a great help for my son. He’s been with Cluey for a month now and we have seen his spelling and confidence with English improve dramatically. Julina has been amazing and it’s great to have a tutor that is capable of working with a student that has ADHD. Each lesson is a little bit different and targets a specific topic which is broken down with a few games to keep my son interested. He loves his cluey sessions.

Terribly unresponsive company with worst customer experience

Cluey is a fraud company. The only time they call is when they want to sugar talk into getting you enrolled with big promises which they miserably fail to keep.

I am so glad I opted only for the trial classes. The tutor just wasn't available keeping my son waiting without any explanation. They deducted money without my consent as they had my card details, speaking of which, why do they still use the stone age way of taking the credit card number from us, if not to scam the customers?
They still owe us one more trial class and there is no response in spite of multiple chat messages/phone calls/emails. Their support phone is conveniently set up to fool people, you can never get to talk to any real human.

This is definitely a scam

This is definitely a scam. I authorised one payment and instead I had two additional payments come out for a different amount, which I did not authorise.
The website is extremely slow and confusing.
It is a shame because it looks like Australian tutors have signed up for this business and have been brought into this scam unknowingly.

My daughter is more confident in approaching school. The one on one sessions cover the Victorian Curriculum. She also has the ability to ask questions on what she is covering in class to assist her further.

Extension program

I engaged Cluey to help extend my son at both Maths and English. The tutors are experienced, friendly and know how to engage towards this extension. The online ClueyHub also helps parents get recordings of the tutoring session, provide feedback and reschedule sessions. Very impressed to date!

SCAMMERS!!

SCAMMERS!!! DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS! I spoke with cluey and agreed to one lesson and then they over charged my credit card. I called the mobile number back and it’s programmed to not take the call and redirect you to online. Online you cannot remove your card details. The money still has not been refunded despite me cancelling immediately and I was told by an online chat they don’t have authority to do it without a supervisor. I had to cancel my credit card and raise a dispute with my bank. I am reporting to ACCC. Disgusting behaviour.

Unable to access, have not been reimbursed.

When Cluey learning contacted me about tutoring for my son they did not mentioned that the device needed google Chrome in order to access the platform. We could not get in our first tutoring session, I managed to get to one of their support teams and they advice me of this requirement. The laptop I have does not allow me to install this software, since they were not able to provide the service they will reimburse me in full and cancel the enrolment. They have not cancel the enrolment and they have not reimburse me. Very poor customer service.

Disappointed

Very disappointing to say the least. Spent half an hour on the phone with a representative who was a very convincing sales person , paying me lip service and saying all the right things . Provided my credit card details, confirmed price with her colleague and was all set for the 1st tutorial the next day. 12:24pm the next day , half hour prior to the tute , received an email cancellation and a re schedule for 1pm Monday.My son is a school student , can't leave school at 1pm when the school day isn't over. To add insult to injury Cluey had booked an additional 4 tutorials without any consultation of times or dates.
Was told the same tutor would be available for the tutorials however all future bookings where with different tutors! Pls explain?

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
Hopefully will receive my refund in 5 days. So quick to take your money but not to return it !

Do not recommend

Do not recommend. Had 4 different tutors assigned within one week of enrolling, and no-one responds to emails (customer care number is completely automated). Bad experience, and feel like I paid for the privilege of being scammed...and still need to find a tutor for my son!
