Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 251 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the website, finding it user-unfriendly and prone to blocking legitimate users, including those with VPNs. Customers frequently encountered issues with the service, reporting slow loading times, persistent verification loops, and unexpected downtimes that affected their access to various sites. The customer service was also a major point of frustration, with many reviewers describing it as unresponsive and unhelpful, particularly when trying to resolve account issues or technical problems. Some people also felt that the user experience was poor, citing difficulties with account initialization, domain registration, and the inability to access support without being a paying customer. The response time for support tickets was consistently criticized, with many users reporting long waits and no resolution. However, some customers also mentioned that the technology itself is powerful and offers useful features, especially for those with technical expertise.

Internet degradation

Hardly reliable, and every time it is installed into a website, it sucks the time out of literally anybody. I know a website that has this, and they slam a waiting screen at least 12 times a day. Not to mention it will randomly fail and black out a good part of the entire internet like yesterday.

One of the most disappointing support experiences I’ve had with any tech provider

We’ve been paying Cloudflare Pro for years, relying on them for uptime and security. This year alone our account was compromised, and despite the seriousness of that situation, we let it go and continued paying for the service.

Today, our website was down for hours due to Cloudflare’s disruption. The loss in revenue was substantial. Their response? A scripted apology, no accountability, no compensation, and they closed the ticket as if the matter were “self-service.”

This is not a customer-focused company. When things work, they take credit. When things fail, you’re on your own.

We’ll be moving our business elsewhere and sharing this experience with other companies who rely on Cloudflare. Buyers deserve to know what support looks like when something actually goes wrong.

Cloudflare: The Internet’s Biggest Single Point of Failure

Cloudflare manages to break the internet with the enthusiasm of a toddler knocking over a tower of blocks — except the toddler has an excuse. One traffic surge and their entire global network folds like a lawn chair from a dollar store.

Every outage plays out the same predictable comedy routine:
– “We’re investigating an issue.”
– “It’s an anomaly.”
– “Please stand by.”

Translation: something obvious snapped and we didn’t notice until Twitter caught fire.

For a company that calls itself the backbone of the modern web, Cloudflare behaves more like the sciatic nerve — sensitive, inconsistent, and always the first thing to flare up when the weather changes. Their infrastructure feels held together by optimism and expired warranties, and their status updates read like they’re written by someone discovering the problem at the same time as the public.

If Cloudflare were a landlord, they’d ignore your leaking ceiling until the bathtub falls through the floor — then confidently announce a “partial degradation of service.”

The internet deserves better than an outage generator with a marketing department.

Cloudflare is down AGAIN today

Cloudflare is down AGAIN today, and that's a HUGE problem for millions of people and for thousands of customers.
Cloudflare is "a gatekeeper and its roles included monitoring traffic to sites to defend them against distributed denial of service attacks when malicious actors try to overwhelm sites with requests. It also checks users are human.

The problems at Cloudflare come less than a month after an outage of Amazon Web Services brought down thousands of sites.

“We’re seeing how few of these companies there are in the infrastructure of the internet, so that when one of them fails it becomes really obvious quickly,” Woodward said.

That's the kind of stuff that happens when founders of great companies leave and multibillionaires, like Jeff Bezos take over, and cut costs, thereby making the company perform worse and worse.

Pretty slow and unreliable

Pretty slow and unreliable - we regularly have downtime on our website because of cloudflare issues at the server end. We're leaving and getting another website platform that avoids this service.

Attention, important announcement!!

I recommend avoiding CLOUFLARE, they block IP addresses and DNS addresses just to make you think that the site is not working!! I will give you an example how to test it: if the given site does not work for you, try for example scamadviser.com or gridinsoft.com, these are for example two websites that go through COUDFLARE!! Please avoid CLOUDFLARE if you do not want to lose profits and customers in the future!! They will abuse this protection against you and start blocking your customers. And if possible avoid products through CLOUDFLARE, I will block you and you will lose money or goods!!

I haven't had any contact with or from…CloudFare

I haven't had any contact with or from this company up until today. When I tried to access my Twitter account. It seems they have managed to lock me out. Funny really, as I have been locked out of my Facebook account for over two weeks. I'm trying to contact my broadband provider to see what they can do. Avoid!!!
