Looking at 251 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the website, finding it user-unfriendly and prone to blocking legitimate users, including those with VPNs. Customers frequently encountered issues with the service, reporting slow loading times, persistent verification loops, and unexpected downtimes that affected their access to various sites. The customer service was also a major point of frustration, with many reviewers describing it as unresponsive and unhelpful, particularly when trying to resolve account issues or technical problems. Some people also felt that the user experience was poor, citing difficulties with account initialization, domain registration, and the inability to access support without being a paying customer. The response time for support tickets was consistently criticized, with many users reporting long waits and no resolution. However, some customers also mentioned that the technology itself is powerful and offers useful features, especially for those with technical expertise.

Online vendors beware

Online vendors beware. Using the services of this company blocks many legitimate customers from your websites and loses you sales. Legitimate customers with legitimate VPN services are blocked and we will not be bothering to fiddle with our settings just for you when there are other alternative vendor websites that do not block in this way. You are paying this company to help you lose sales.

Cloudflare is my love!

Cloudflare is simply amazing! It is a service I have truly fallen in love with. The speed, reliability, and protection it offers are absolutely top-notch. Cloudflare is my love and I cannot imagine the internet without it. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Ruined my website while only minimally decreasing DDoS attacks.

Communicated with me until their software damage to my site was too 'difficult' for their badly written answer manuals that they used instead thinking.
Very bad programming of their modules, so images and presentation CSS not showing.
Customer iInstruction pages poorly constructed, and clearly not checked or tested, so unusable.
Website rambling and bloated, so difficult to find appropriate pages and help.

I attempted to use Cloudflare during a…

I attempted to use Cloudflare during a DNS migration and found the experience extremely frustrating from a support perspective.

While the tools are powerful, the lack of accessible technical assistance on entry-level plans makes it very difficult to resolve problems when onboarding does not go as expected. When a configuration issue prevents a domain from functioning, documentation alone is not a substitute for real support.

For organisations without in-house DNS expertise, this creates significant risk. A service that sits at the centre of your infrastructure must be backed by responsive help when things don’t work first time.

In my case, the absence of timely guidance led me to abandon the setup and move to a provider offering direct human support.

This is a platform best suited to teams who already have deep technical knowledge and do not rely on vendor assistance.

This is mainly a platform for spammers and fraudsters. They do nothing to control illegal activity on their platform. I would advise not hosting a legitimate site on Cloudflare. Just being associated with it will significantly increase your odds of being labeled as a spammer by Gmail and other legitimate email platforms. A good example is their phishing reporting site. The fields don't provide a way to actually report abuse by the sites hosted on their platform.

Yahoo AWS GAFAM Cloudflare Gmail... spams phishing and scammers' friends with impunity

Yahoo, Amazon, AWS, Cloudflare, Google... all complicit and friends of scammers and criminals... Yahoo Mail hasn't filtered phishing spam for two years now. I receive one to five emails a day in my inbox, emails trying to scam me, steal my data, including identity and banking information, etc., via fake websites and emails mimicking my country's social security system. There are fake traffic fines, fake toll bills, fake insurance policies, fake electricity, water, and telecom bills, fake subscription cancellations and payments, fake refunds, fake undelivered packages, and it goes on and on. I've reported it repeatedly to Yahoo, AWS, and Cloudflare, who claim to be taking it into account, but nothing has been done for years, and spam continues to flood my inbox. It's never even filtered by Yahoo Mail's spam filter, which is practically useless, especially spam from AWS and Cloudflare. Nobody cares, not even Spamcop or the authorities in my country, who are complicit in crime in general, given their slow and ineffective justice system. And what's worse, I'm also inundated with spam calls (illegal solicitation and fake numbers, including spoofing). I'm fed up. I've turned the issue over and over in my mind, but we're constantly told and pressured to change our email address, phone number, social media accounts, bank account, etc., and even change our identity, just like physically moving if we have problems with neighbors, spam, scams, or insecurity... What a wonderful society we have these days! Back in the past, we had humanity, an effective justice system, human moderation... but that was before the internet, or even at the very beginning of the internet. Now, that's all over, the peace and quiet, and it's open season for thuggery and complete impunity. What a shame! Tech has a bright future ahead, especially the GAFAM companies, who can do whatever they want with impunity, like gods, imposing their will on everyone who can never defend themselves, not even a sovereign nation. Nobody cares anymore. Oh well.

Good verification technology that keeps websites secure. It´s fast, transparent and easy to use. Technical support has improved the technology in my view, works more accurately and faster. I fully respect the experiences of other users. Have a nice day.

PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Our paid Cloudflare account email is tied to a suspended domain, and we no longer have access to that mailbox.
The account recovery flow requires an emailed verification token that we cannot receive. We need the account email changed to a reachable address
to regain access to a paid Cloudflare account. No one replys to subitted tickets to help, no one answers the phone, no one communicates back at support. The chat bot has loaded answers that don't help with a resolution.

This is a paid Cloudflare account.
We are requesting a manual email change on the account so we can regain access to the paid account you locked us out of.

Thieves

Thieves. They charged me for another year of a pro plan (without warning, shitty business practice as it is). I immediately downgraded.

I wouldn’t dare to expect a refund from a company like this, I’ve learnt not to. So obviously that didn’t happen.

But not only that, they removed all the features I had just paid a year for.

Customer service sent an AI reply.

Pure theft.

Cloudflare is dead. Disgustingly bad!

Avoid cloudflare. Period.
Their subscription system is broken. You wanto upgrade to pro, you have to open a ticket and follow up and wait for weeks for techincal team to fix it, so you can finally upgrade your subcription.
But then it broke my website so I cancelled the subscription.
But this time the cancellation does not take effect (although manually done by the customer support). and they charge me the next month.
Then I have open a ticket and follow up AGAIN!
But then you get a stupid reply from a bot and no human support. Then you have to open another ticket. Drag. Drag. Drag!
I don't know how many times I will have to open this ticket again?!?!

You are charging me for a service I already cancelled. Its sickening to deal with you.
