Torn feelings

I'm torn. I have the CLVX S. The built quality is exceptional and the typing experience is out of this world. There's no way that I will go back to another external keyboard. Only the professional Lenovo laptop keyboard are a tad better.
I was not so keen on the light effects but they are cute.
The main reason I bought it was the touchpad features and yeah they work but I'm still struggling with them especially double tap, right tap etc
Too easy to touch a key
Is it worth the price? Not sure.
Would I have bought it when I had the experience before? Not sure.
Do I regret the purchase? No

It's not easy to use

The keyboard could do with the ability to reduce the sensitivity of the mouse feature. I'm struggling to use the keyboard for fast and heavy use... 😩

I have forgotten how to use a mouse.

I have forgotten how to use a mouse. It sits on my desk collecting dust.

That is how good this CLVX S is.

There is a bit of muscle memory training on my end to familarize with the key locations on the keyboard but once I had it down, my workflow efficiency has greatly increased.

I travel a lot for work and often work at coffee shops. So this keyboard + trackpad combo has provided me the portability and convenience that a workhorse nomad demands.

My only issue is battery life and its something Clevetura has shared before I purchased. The battery life is short if you have the backlight LEDs on during use.

Otherwise, I HIGHLY recommend this product.

A wonderful keyboard no doubt

A wonderful keyboard no doubt. Only with minor drawbacks like while using as touch pad the fingers gets stuck as the keys gets slightly pressed. And as suggestion for future build may be add a option where keyboard can be turned on without turning on the battery while using with cable.

The S stands for Superb

My use case for CLVX S is primary a "living-room" style keyboard. Believe it or not, but at the time of writing it was the only wireless keyboard/touchpad combo with both backlight (and RGB at that!) as well as Windows Precision drivers support. The latter mattered most to me. The TouchOnKeys idea is a great one - package is very compact, yet the touchpad area is huge!
The only caveat I have with it (therefore 4*) is that the standby battery life is pretty poor. What I mean is that leaving the keyboard on, results in the battery draining in a matter of a day. What I believe are the reasons, are:
1) The TouchOnKeys LED is always on (the backlight as a whole turns off after a while, aside from this one).
2) The keyboard never disconnects from Bluetooth. Coming from K830, it did in fact disconnect after an hour or so, and would reconnect after clicking any key - and it would last weeks on standby.
The above experience was on firmware 6.2.2. I hope it gets improved in future updates. Nevertheless, it's still by far the best such product I had the pleasure using.

Clevetura CLVX1 is a wonderful keyboard…

Clevetura CLVX1 is a wonderful keyboard with an innovative touchpad over the center keys. I use it exclusively to operate my home theater PC, and it replaced my decade-old Logitech K830. My seating position is located 20 feet away from HTPC and I connected the Clevetura keyboard's USB-C cable to a 24 foot USB-3 extension cable from my PC. It is always plugged in and I never tried the Bluetooth function. It is a bit smaller compared to the K830 with a much higher quality build and the keys are beautifully backlit with adjustable colors. I only wish the backspace button was larger, but it's easy to get used to after a while.

The future of peripheral tech, needs programming specific form factor.

The one touch keys technology is absolutely game changing. No more bringing a mouse and keyboard. Best of both worlds. The most compact setup possible. The future is bright, with wearable displays and mini computers. I think how we use a computer is about to change.
That said, I am a software engineer and I would like a version of this keyboard that is split and optimized for programming and RSI. I've been using the cvlx s for an extended time for embedded software development and my rsi is coming back...

Gamified my workflow!

The customer service was amazing - I had a last minute address change and they handled it unbelievably smoothly… I bought a CLVX S, and oh my god I am addicted to it - it’s made working so much more fun… yes it’s ergonomically efficient but the enjoyment of it also make my productivity skyrocket a whole bunch!

Everything I hoped for, and more.

I was looking for a wireless keyboard and mouse that could used across multiple devices to reduce desk clutter and cables. I am thoroughly impressed.

Build quality is very good, the technology is really well thought out. The setup on two Windows machines and an Android tablet was almost instantaneous and I found switching between devices to be very quick and super easy.

I have learned now to use the type button to jump back and forth between typing and touchpad use, I make fewer mistakes that way. About the only thing that I use a mouse for now is AutoCAD, I don't find the touchpad as efficient for drawing.

My only negative was the price, it feels like a lot of money for a keyboard. But when you get it in your hands you feel like you got something for your money, it is not a cheap piece of plastic.

Amazing!!!

First off, I would like to say this thing is amazing, well done!!!!! 🤩

Design:
Excellent/Apple Quality build, keys are just big enough to eliminate mistypes and well spaced, soft key press, and decent battery.

Pros:

Apple Build quality

Great Key feel/feedback/size

RGB lighting customization

Cons: The battery life could improve.

Software:
LOVE THE LIGHT SHOW WHEN FIRST OPENING THE PACKAGE!!!! Has everything you need to fully customize to your liking. You have the abilities to adjust the color of the keys and the features of each one. Also you can modify the gestures for each OS and set profiles for them as well. Switching between devices is a little slow to connect but not to bad, Track pad work as attended, but not perfect all the time with the gestures and movement, sometimes it won’t read the gesture on the first try or when moving the mouse, but I’m sure it will improve over time. The physical mouse buttons at the bottom is okay, and nice I guess to have when touch doesn’t want to read, but wish they weren’t there and the keyboard was evenly proportion at the top and bottom, also making the keyboard a little smaller. Bluetooth support for TouchApp was my only issues, which was addressed in the last update and added. Only thing I can think of that would be nice to have is an iOS/Android TouchApp support.

Pros:
Supports all OS/ TouchApp support for customization and future support/feature updates.

AI Support for improve typing/use

Supports 3 Bluetooths and one Wired

Nice customization options and features.

Software is well designed and easy to use
Future updates/support

Cons:

Not a fan of the physical mouse buttons at the bottom.

Gestures not supported on wired connection on iOS.

Mouse/Track pad doesn’t always read gestures or mouse movement.

Switching between devices is a little slow.

Overall: 8/10

There’s rooms for improvements, as there is in all products. For a first Gen product, this is pretty dare close to perfect for most user. Build quality is excellent and the software is on

Out of the box, the keyboard highlights it is incredibly well designed and the utilization is very creative. I encountered a minor issue at first which was my doing. However, this underscored the laser-like focus and responsiveness of this incredible team behind the product. I could not be more impressed with my interface.

Hi William — thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

We really appreciate you giving Clevetura a try and also pointing out where it didn’t meet your expectations compared to the Apple Magic Keyboard. That kind of feedback is important for us.

After your review, we were glad we could connect directly and look into this together. As we discussed, the spacebar issue you experienced turned out to be a hardware malfunction — something that’s not representative of how the keyboard is meant to behave, and fortunately very rare. We’ve arranged for the unit to be returned so we can investigate what went wrong, and a replacement keyboard is already on its way to you.

Your comments about key feel and overall seamlessness are also fair. Preferences around typing experience are very personal, and it’s completely okay that the Magic Keyboard remains the better fit for you right now.

Thanks again for your openness and for giving us the chance to follow up properly. If anything comes up while using the replacement unit, we’re always here to help.

My hands staying in the same place

Finally I don't need to move my hands around. I was hating move my hand back and forth to reach the mouse.
However, it is still a touchpad, so in my opinion it will never substitute 100% a mouse. If you do a lot of point and click, you will stay with the mouse.
I am a developer, I code, I browse, I read emails and so far (2 weeks) I just used the CLVX1. Sometimes I was tempted to use the mouse to be faster and indeed it is still there in case I need it.

I found a few flaws:
- your hand can be tired to hover the keyboard instead of resting somewhere;
- when I do a search (CTRL+F) and I write immediately a word, I found myself clicking somewhere after the first digit, I don't know why, maybe I'm writing too fast and it gets a click instead of a type
? I had just to be a bit more conscious when I do that.

Hi Robert — thank you for sharing your experience and for the kind words about the build quality. We’re glad that part came across clearly.

We’re sorry that gesture and cursor control didn’t work properly on your Mac mini running macOS Sonoma. As you mentioned, we were able to confirm together that the driver was installed correctly and that the keyboard itself was functioning, which made this case worth a closer look on our side.

As agreed, once the keyboard is returned to us, we’ll examine the unit and the setup in detail to understand why gestures weren’t activating in your case. Your refund is already in progress, and we appreciate you handling the return smoothly.

Thanks as well for taking the time to chat with Alex from our team — we really value open, straightforward conversations like that. If you’re open to reconnecting after we’ve reviewed the returned unit, we’d be happy to share what we find.

Great Device that almost replaces Mouse & Keyboard

I love it, it keeps my computer space cleaner and I now only have to use 1 device instead of 3 devices to use for my Desktop Gaming PC, including the Laptop LapBoard that I was using to use my old Keyboard & Mouse, as My Desktop Gaming is not at a Desktop, but connected to a 55" OLED TV. So to use a Keyboard & Mouse, I need a Laptop LapBoard.

Now with this device Clevetura 1, it replaced the following 3 devices:

- Keyboard: Cherry 9200 Mini
- Mouse : Logitech MX Vertical
- Laptop LapBoard.

It great device and I like features like being able to zoom in on the website or scroll up and down on the website etc. Also I directly use the Clevetura 1 on my lap and have no need for the Laptop LapBoard.

Let me be clear, I do not use the Clevetura 1 for gaming on my Desktop Gaming PC, I use it for the Non-Gaming stuff on the Desktop Gaming PC.

The use for Clevetura 1 is:

- Web Serving

- Video Editing with a open source software called "Kdenlive", I Use this software for editing my gaming Video that I post on odysee.com (Youtube Alternative)

- Photo/Picture Editing with a open source software called "Krita" I use this software for making Thumbnails for my videos that I post on odysee.com (Youtube Alternative)

For gaming I use a Controller, as most games on PC these days have controller support.

Now here is some feedback for the Clevetura 1 for the developers:

1) Could make the mouse buttons slightly bigger, so they are easy to press.

2) To make the Play/Pause button, Forwards Button & Rewind to work with "Kdenlive" Video Editing Software, if possible.

All in all, I love this device and as a minimalist, I this love this device, as it de-cluttered my PC space a bit and it easy to use.

Also It only took me 1 to 2 days to get used to the Clevetura 1, as I am used to laptop style keyboard with TouchPad uses, as my other computer is a Linux Laptop.

Pavel

Hi!

So, after about half an hour I packed it back into the box — it’s going up for sale:

• The keys are simply too large for me (I could probably get used to them, but why bother?).
• You can’t select text with a single finger — only by holding down the physical touchpad button.
• The parrot-style RGB lighting can’t be set to a solid color; it can only be turned off entirely.

Multitouch and gestures work as advertised, so maybe people on Windows will actually like it.

I didn’t want to leave a negative public review — the build quality is excellent and it looks great.

Hi Pavel,

Thank you for sharing your experience — and for doing it in such a kind way. We really appreciate that you took the time to try CLVX 1 and give honest feedback.

A few quick notes that might be helpful, just in case you ever decide to revisit it:

• RGB lighting — it can be set to a solid color
This option is available in the TouchOnKeys App under Backlight customization. You can choose any static color or effect, including fully minimal modes.

• Text selection — one-finger selection is supported
You can select text either with the physical click buttons or directly on the touch surface (touch-and-drag on the key area, just like on a trackpad). No special setup needed.

We’re glad to hear the build quality and gestures left a good impression. And even though this keyboard wasn’t the right fit for your workflow, you’re always welcome to reach out. If you’d like, our support team can guide you through the customization options to help tailor the keyboard to your workflow.

Thanks again for your thoughtful review.
