Not worth it...

I have been using Clear for years now and find that the efficiency and convenience have declined significantly during that time. My most recent experience is a good example. I first waited in the regular Clear line, was then told I had to go to the Clear precheck line. I went to the precheck line and waited behind six people. I wondered what was the hold up and realized they were taking turns with the TSA and Clear precheck lines. TSA had one or two people waiting and several slowly walking slowly into the entrance. When I arrived at the front, I assumed it was my turn because the TSA group had not made it to the front of the line yet, I was told I needed to wait because they were taking turns between the two lines. So I literally waited for them to arrive at the front of the line so one of them could be checked in first. Crazy! I wondered why people pay an extra $180 (or however much it costs these days) to get Clear vs TSA Pre. When the Clear assistant waited for the slow group to walk to the front in TSA in order to give them a turn instead of letting a couple of the Clear people through who were already waiting at the front, I couldn't believe how dumb the whole scene was. It took longer to go through Clear vs TSA! We were told they had to take equal turns back and forth (even though it wasn't even equal). So I guess my question is: Why get Clear when you can have TSA for a lot less?

Horrendous and Horrible! Do not purchase!

I would like to give this company negative stars but that is not an option so I will go with a one star review to be able to post this. Do not use this service! It is a complete rip off!! I used this service one time which was the day I signed up because barely any airports have this service available. It’s expensive and not worth it at all! If you have TSA precheck you especially don't need this scam. I just got a notice to renew my subscription for over $300....Hell no! This rip off of a company should pay me for the hassle of me trying to get reimbursed for this lame ass service. Absolutely terrible!!!!
CLEARly a rip off!!

Clear Rushmypassport is waste of money

I use Clear to move quickly through TSA, works fine but its very expensive (even if a travel credit card covers the first year, its still expensive come year two).

Cleared has partnered with rushmypassport to expedite passport renewal. This service is a scam. Don't use. Rushmypassport charges you $251 to fill out the form, and then you still have to pay $241 for the government fees. On top of that, the customer service for both Clear and rushmypassport is trash.

I should have gone to a FedEx office that offers passport services or the post office - honestly, this would have been better than paying $251 just to fill out a form and get a FedEx label.

When I tried to get a refund, I was told I couldn't, even though it is taking them more than 6 weeks to process my passport renewal.

Seriously out over $700 for terrible customer service and for partnering with a company that is rated 1 star by the BBB.

Scammers. Check your credit card statement!

Would give zero stars if possible. They nabbed me at the airport for a “free” two-month trial. Before that period was up I saw that my card had been charged $199! Spoke to their online “digital ambassador” and they fianlly agreed to cancel and refund. After offering a half-price membership!!!that’s a no. So beware and always check your card statements. I see that several others have complained of the same thing.

It's a scam

CLEAR will happily collect all your personal details, but it will in no way verify you for anything.

I've come to this conclusion after a week long frustration, providing the document images in the best possible quality, with best angle and lighting, only to still get rejected, with support giving generic responses and not telling me why my valid document is being rejected.

I don't know why LinkedIn uses CLEAR for verification, but I hope CLEAR goes out of business and gets substituted by solutions that actually work.

Worst LinkedIn vendor ever

I haven't been able to verify for months. I've used my passport, my gov ID, I have my personal phone with verizon, and still nothing. This service is broken. I am not sure how LinkedIn trusted on this vendor. They are messing with people's opportunity on landing a job. They don't provide customer support (only a bot that takes you to a dead end)

Lesson Learned

Lesson Learned: Do NOT stop at the Clear TSA Pre-Check. Yes the trial is free (if you remember to cancel it before 10 days), but once they take you through the 15 minute per person process - 15+ minutes better spent in those Long TSA Lines - there's apparently a possibility that you could have a "pre-existing ID" signed up with them... News Flash, I've never had an account with Clear OR TSA PreCheck, not to mention I've only had my Real ID for 2 months. Pre-Existing ID my ass...

Even if it had worked out, who the f@#k wants to pay $190 per person per year to get Pre-Check? There's literally no scenario that you couldn't have brought your ID with you to the airport.

DO NOT INTERACT WITH CLEAR REPRESENTATIVES. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR CLEAR. DO NOT, JUST DON'T.

Its garbage

Its garbage. I did everything correctly, and the app would either not allow me to take a selfie, or when I did successfully the govt ID step it would drop through and not allow me to take photos of the ID.

Honestly one of the worst services out there

Honestly one of the worst services out there. Unfortunately LinkedIn uses this tool to verify people, but I keep getting an error and have even tried changing cellphone providers as they said that would fix it. What a ridiculous method to go through to try and get verified with LinkedIn. They have abysmal support and just does NOT work.

I've been trying to confirm with them here and there since 2023.

Got special selected in Las Vegas airport on the way home. I like clear they did lie saying it was in every airport. Next thing I know three weeks passed by and they’re trying to charge me 199. Thankfully, my bank declined it be careful who you give your credit card to for a one day for a trial.

Terrible company

Terrible company. You have to use them to get "verified" for LinkedIn. Guess what. The app always crashes. These cowboys have no idea what they are doing. We should lobby at LinkedIn that they use another provided.

I’ve been a member since 2017. This service is getting worse the longer it’s around. Very inconsistent directions between locations. Doesn’t save time nowadays. I will not be renewing. Can’t say enough bad about it at this point.

Overpriced and Difficult to Cancel

Last year I was whisked away from the main line to enroll in Clear for expedited entrance through security. Cost was supposed to be $199. Entrance time was slightly better but not worth the cost. After the trial I received the bill which included an additional $119 for a family member (wife) that was not traveling with me. I called to cancel the plan. This year I received another charge for $318! I tried the cancelation process on-line this time because phone support is non-existent. The AI chat kept giving me the runaround offering a discount plan instead. It also stated "Since you're canceling within 60 days of your membership purchase, you're eligible for a full refund if you proceed with the cancellation." but would not complete the cancelation.
It was not until I mentioned filing a complaint with et BBB that they processed the cancelation and credit. This time I took screenshots of the discussion for proof.
Stay Clear away from this service!

Do not buy clear

Spent 15 minutes trying to get past the clear recognition device. This is with someone working there trying to get it to work. I gave up went through regular tsa. Complete waste of time and money. Just use tsa pre check which is gov run and efficient. Clear is a private company with no to little customer service and inefficient
