Avoid online ordering

Despite Clarks saying that you can return for €4.99 I can't return part of my order as the "returns portal" doesn't recognise my eircode. This is because Clarks do not "have a eircode attached to my billing address for this order". I paid via PayPal (one of the methods on its website) and my eircode does appear on my PayPal account.
At no point on its website is this "technical issue" to avoid returns stated. Customer service is useless and keeps repeating I do not have a billing eircode.

Never buy online!

I first tried to place an order and couldn’t even pay for almost an hour. I emailed customer support at the time and never received a response. When I finally managed to make the payment after wasting all that time the order itself was processed incorrectly and, despite waiting 8 working days, it never arrived. They did not consider it necessary to inform me about the mistake. Their delivery rates are already quite high, yet the service is surprisingly slow. After this experience, I won’t be returning to their online shop - I was surprised how bad their online operations are! And this seems to be only in Ireland - their GB rating seems quite high!

Clarks Mahon Point

My family and I have been customers of Clarkes products for many years with no complaints about their products before now. I have a pair of shoes which were sold to me 2 months ago from this store as a premium quality item that was real leather and last longer (nearly twice the price of others in store). However the soles on one of the pairs of shoes I bought that day have worn away so much as what has normally taken a year or more to do. I went to the store to see what could be done.
I was extreemly disapointed to be told by the manager that its not the shoe its the way I walk. I was informed to take my complaints up with the online team who told me in turn that it was the decision of the Store.
I feel like I have been swindled out of money by an Irish company who I have supported for so long. The manner the manager addressed my concerns were condecending and will ensure I will not be buying Clarkes Shoes ever again.

Amazing staff in cork store

I went into the Clarks store in Mahon point in Cork.
One staff member called Eleanora stood out. The knowledge she has is unbelievable. I could have easily ordered online but instead I prefer travel 45 mins each way with kids in the car as I trust her and am delighted with the service i receive from her. She is absolutely superb when it comes to childrens shoes in particular. I was so happy with my purchases and will return again and again to the Cork store.

Was in Clarks store in Liffey valley…

Was in Clarks store in Liffey valley yesterday 26th may 2025 . Two female employees were on duty . Never asked me if I needed help , stood with the shoe in my hand for about 2 minutes while they kept talking . I asked one of them to get me a size ! She was so rude. They gave no interest in their job or selling products . I was going to purchase shoes but would not deal with her I will order on line.
Terrible staff ! Won’t go in there again .

Money taken hostage without NO ordered delivered

Ordered a pair of shoes on the 15 Feb - charged immediately.

Shoes are not delivered, not date given, no chance to know where they are. Customer service are a group of arrogant staff which barely speaks the language.

And upon 10 requests of order cancellation and escalations, Clarks keeps my money hostage and do not cancel, do not refund, do no attend.

A fraud in all terms, contacted my bank to recover my money.

0 Stars for poor customer service

Honestly where do I begin. Firstly if 0 stars could be give I'd give that.

Secondly the customer service you give for online shoppers is shocking. My husband shopped online and had used vouchers as part payment for a pair of shoes he liked. For some reason the transaction failed and when he attempted again to complete the transaction, the vouchers were rejected stating they had already been claimed - which is not true. We called and called all day Thursday (23/1) to sort this out but we never had luck to get to talk to someone. We used the web contact page, tried contacting via Facebook and Twitter since then and still no joy.

Update: called a Clarks shop in Cork today (27/1) which is our closest shop and the shop staff told my husband "oh I wouldn't buy online, our support is slow to reply, when you buy online it's your own risk". She was implying that my husband wouldn't be able to retrieve his €75 worth of vouchers.

Disgusting behaviour of a sales person and representative of your company and poor customer service to online customer users.

Shocking customer service

Voucher that I bought over 6 weeks ago has never arrived. I've tried contact Clark's on numerous occasions to try resolve the issue but just get a standardised email response. I've tried calling them on multiple occasions waiting for over half an hour each time. Terrible service, need to make it easier for customers to contact them.

No customer support at all

No customer support at all, do not use this company. Ticket logged no reply, they do not answer the phone, 150 euro wasted on eGift cards I can not use on their website. Contacting the Consumer protection agency, still trying to ring them and no answer. Today I got through after 35mins on hold, was advised to call to store...why have eGift cards available online, said its not acceptable, put on hold when she went away to check one of my numbers and got cut off. STAY WELL CLEAR....no answer from support tickets and when you eventually get through they are zero help. Won't be long more in Ireland with support like that...stores already closing around Ireland.

Excellent customer service.

My parcel containing boots was lost by the delivery company. Clarks refunded me straight away and were extremely helpful considering the loss was not their fault at all. Very impressive customer service. The agent I dealt with on the phone was very nice. I will definitely order from Clarks again.

I ordered a pair of shoes online

I ordered a pair of shoes online. When they arrived they were far too small (even though I ordered the correct size).

I tried to return them but couldn't print a return label. I tried contacting them. I found their phone number and after being on hold for a long time I managed to get through to someone.

She said the return system in Ireland was down but that it would be fixed in 3 days. I tried it again 4 days later. It still wouldn't work.

I called again and was told that I had to return it to a store or post it to their warehouse on the UK. I explained that my nearest store was 86 km away which is why I buy online.

She said I should return it to their UK warehouse. She then asked me to leave a review.

I don't reccomend buying from Clarks online.

I phoned the Castlepoint store several times this week regarding the arrival of my order - l spoke to Hannah who was extremely polite, friendly & helpful she said she would chase my order & call me which she actually did! I collected the order today & once again she was friendly & very professional.. l would highly recommend using this branch of Clarks & asking for Hannah.
