We have been greated by young lady ( she must be 18 or less) as just walked into the store. This young lady has been with us from the start to the end of our visit. My 10 year old and I just had the best customer service by such young person. This young lady ( didn't get her name ) is a benefit to Wakefield Clarks Store by exceeding and delivering customers expectations.

Amazing service, lovely lady.
Amazing service. We were met by a lovely lady (Laibah H) who served us quickly. She measured the feet of my, quite lively, Son and quickly put us at ease. She was thorough in the measurement and talked to my Son and made him feel special. She had so much patience, especially as he was quite excited and needed two pairs of shoes. I am very grateful for her time and am very happy with our purchases. We only intended buying one pair initially but as she was so attentive she made it easy to get his second pair for school.

Great school shoe measuring service
Emily measured both my childrens feet to check for growth. Really attentive. Treated my 8 year old daughter in a way that made her feel like a grown up and ensured she got a true idea of how the school shoes fit. Excellent service. Emily made the whole experience enjoyable ( anyone who has had to purchase school shoes with children knows this is a miracle!). No pressure to purchase and good advise when buying.
Clark’s - Wakefield awful Manager
Went in with a friend to get a refund on £100 boots after 2 weeks splitting on the heel and peeling away. Said no!! Normal wear & tear after 2 weeks, worn about 3 times. Got through to customer services after 4 days trying, gave her a number to give to the shop to get a refund. Awful manager (we have her name but not putting it on here) said we had to wait until she confirmed it! Sat in shop 45 minutes waiting for her to get through, then another 15 sorting out refund. Very very rude and condescending lady, all other shoe shops in Wakefield said should be immediate refund, think she was on a power trip. Don’t shop at this one!!

No patience - neurodiversity
We took our 5 year old neurodiverse child to get his school shoes and his feet measured. The person measuring his feet had absolutely no patience for our child, they were abrupt and told me that they would have to assume his shoe size, as my child was wriggling his toes. I did tell the assistant that this is not acceptable. I did make it apparent that our child has sensory issues, in an attempt to make the store assistant understand.
This was not received well by the store assistant, who continued to say to our child 'Just keep your foot still'. I did manage to get our child to keep his foot still and his feet were measured. At this point we were pointed over to the section. We chose some shoes and it was extremely obvious that the store assistant had lost their patience with us. The store assistant went to get the shoes and tested the fit of them. I find it upsetting and surprising that a person who works in a shoe shop, especially one marketed for children's shoes would have a lack of understanding about special educational needs and neurodiversity. We have always bought our child's shoes from Clarks but this experience was not a good one.
