So my wife ordered a couple trees from them and so far we had received only the banana tree. They use fed-ex so that was already a down side. Never trust a company that uses fed-ex if you care about what condition you receive your product in. I won't go into detail how beat up the box was when it got here or how the driver laughed and drove off as I confronted him for tossing the box down on it's side. But upon sending my wife pictures of the sad state the tree arrived in she noticed despite seeing all the broken leaves that the tree was sick with a disease that would have killed it anyway. I suggested she got a refund for the dead tree they sent us so hopefully we don't have to go through our bank to get that money back. The fact that they use a P.O.S. company like fed-ex to deliver something as fragile as live plants makes them liable for the condition they arrive in. You don't send a mentally slow paperboy to deliver glass vases by throwing them from his bike to your porch. Common sense people...
I ordered a clementine tree on 12/31/21 and decided to wait until the spring to order after I read further about tree care. I canceled the order within hours of placing it. I received an email saying the order was canceled but they would have to check with higher ups to process the refund. WHAT????? I have now emailed 3 times about getting my refund back on the credit card and each time I am told: "To better assist you, I've forwarded your concern to our higher support team for further assistance on this matter. Please expect an update from our specialist." When will that be.
Awful! We will never do business with Citrus.com again. Ordered plant-has citrus canker (Incurable disease). Have emailed 2x over 30 days (no tel # available). No response. Waste of money and waste of time. Always buy from a local, reputable grower. This place is terrible.
I was impressed with Citrus.com's website, the fact that the majority of their inventory of trees was sold out, and the glowing reviews. Sadly, the 2 olive trees I received seem half dead with sparse leaves (some yellowing) and they'd qualify as 2' tall (as advertised) ONLY if I physically held up the tallest spindly branch AND measured from the bottom of the pot. The photos were extremely misleading. I paid over $130.00 for these 2 and one of them is even worse than the other. I don't even know what to call them, they are not trees and certainly not bushes either. So sad. PS: packaging and delivery was great!
Purchased one gallon dwarf key lime tree online from citrus.com for $52.95 plus $18.95 for shipping. Upon unpackaging, many leaves had fallen often and continued to fall off. All lower leaves were covered with white fungus which eventually turned black. Upper leaves had brown spots. Tried several remedies including 3 in 1 neem oil based spray but still hasn't cleared and only a few healthy leaves remain.
