A mail I sent to the circuit... not even an apology
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the organisation and management of your recent MotoGP event.
Firstly, your app and website are a joke. The language and conduct of members of your staff were absolutely abhorrent. One of your entry staff told me that if I didn’t empty the water from my flask, I was “not getting f***ing in.” There was no mention of this restriction on your website, and there was no issue the day before. This occurred at the main entrance on Saturday at approximately 9:00 am.
On Sunday at around 8:30 am, a large, bald steward in the main car park was literally shouting at the top of his voice at a driver who was in the wrong area, using phrases like “F this,” “F that,” and “get the F out—what the F are you doing?”
Your approach to selling wine was also unacceptable. At the main stadium on Saturday at around 1:00 pm, a staff member—a short, girl wearing a cowboy hat—poured what can only be described as a whisky-sized measure of white wine. When I questioned this, I received abuse. She also refused to provide a plastic cup with a can of beer. I will be reporting this to the appropriate Weights and Measures authority.
Your signage around the track is completely inadequate. Your main information centre told us it was a 15-minute walk to our destination—this was completely inaccurate. The distance from Stand 1 to the Uber pick-up point is 1.6 miles. As a result, we missed our taxi, which cost me $50. I will be seeking legal advice regarding this matter.
Advising attendees—many of whom may be older or less physically fit—to walk such a distance in 90-degree heat is irresponsible. I will also be reporting this to the relevant health and safety authorities. Do not suggest that transport was sufficient—there were only three small buggies operating, with around 400 people waiting. There is no easy way to get from the main stand to the stadium area except some idiotic winding path. Don't dare mention the trams, joke
I have attended MotoGP events all over the world, and yours is by far the worst I have ever had the misfortune to experience. I will never return, and I will ensure that no one I know attends in the future. I also intend to share this experience across all available social media platforms.
They are a disgrace
