Owner operator here. Hub Group said fill out the Carrier profile, I did. Call Chop tank for the load listed, the lady tells me I'm not approved to haul loads because there is 941 carriers ahead of me for approval. I think this is a scam for companies information. Total waste of time. Plus they're putting false high paying loads on the load board to get your information....BEWARE

They lie a lot.They promise to returne the money for the lumper,but they dont't return They ewe me $170 and $311 for two trips.They lie that me didn't send receipts.I sent them several times.If you call and say that the claime is against Chptank they saythat they are Hub Group,if you say that to Hub Group they say that they are Choptank.

Before Hub Group took over Choptank…

Before Hub Group took over Choptank they were my favorite broker. I worked as an agent for several large major carriers before getting my own company started. Now I own my own company they won’t load my trucks because I worked as a dispatcher for other companies. Makes no sense at all. Trying to call compliance is just a nightmare there is no one to help. I am a perfect carrier 100% on time. Excellent ratings and this broker or rather Hub Group don’t care. Horrible experience with Hub Group.

CAN'T GET PAYMENT

They booked the load from us and ended up to be a dry run. After all the back and forth, they never respond the email and calls. Payment was pending since April and now it's been 4 months now!
Please do not work with them and get yourself into a trouble

Awful awful awful

Awful awful awful, this is the most unreasonable trucking experience I have had in 20yrs of trucking, we ran a load, picked up ontime, delivered ontime did exactly as we were contracted to do as we always strive to do, there was several pallets left on the truck (overage) we reported it as we should, broker told us she's waiting on a response from customer (fair) after the she totally ignored us, didn't respond to our emails, it took 24hrs and me sending the an email letting her know I was going to report that my truck was held hostage to get a response. The decision was she's gonna pay a layover $250 then dictated to us that out truck should take the load somewhere else for $45 and she is not paying anymore. Now am left with no choice than to take legal actions.

Worst brokerage firm I’ve ever dealt…

Worst brokerage firm I’ve ever dealt with . They don’t call you back when they say they would , just left me hanging. Got stuck on a overnite delivery for 2 1/2 days 4 tanks of refer fuel and they want to give me a measly small detention fee . This is the 3rd time I’ve been screwed over by them. Avoid booking loads with these people cause it’s clear they don’t care about nobody but their pockets, they will book a load then cancel and say load has been canceled because they found a cheaper truck amongst other unfair practices. They get a minus -10 from me.

I would like to say that my recent…

I would like to say that my recent experience with Choptank Transport has been greatly satisfying.
I just finished dealing with Ms. Bobbi Stubbs at the
Preston, Maryland office and found that she has a high level of customer service. She never fails to answer a telephone call or answer her e-mail. When my driver was having an issue with a load, she immediately called her customer and rectified the situation. She is definitely an asset to Choptank Transport and I would recommend that anyone dealing with her will be truly satisfied.

Empty Promises and No Support

We used Choptank after their hounded our company for months. As broker, we expect them to support us as their customer on claims. We had a load that had clearly had transit damage and been restacked. We experienced over $8,000+ in damages which carrier refused to pay. They have done NOTHING to help resolve the issue. Now they are not responding to emails or calls for assistance. I would not use them!!!

I have been working mostly with Christina Stump

I have been working mostly with Christina Stump and I must say she is the best go to customer service person I have had the pleasure to work with in a long time. Christina is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in getting the documents to me so I can pay Choptank as I work in the Salinas, CA office for Sysco Produce, she is very polite, friendly and makes you laugh which is great especially at the time. The 5 stars I did were because of her. Thank you Christina for a job always well done.

Worst Customer Service Ever

Most of the drivers they hire are inexperienced. They lie about their elog times, and the drivers give attitude when they have to wait longer than expected. Which is sometimes understandable, but if we paid for the whole truck, and you are getting paid to literally sit and do nothing for 3 hours, I don't want to hear any sass. The customer service is terrible. They said we had to pay extra for the driver waiting, which is fine, but they again lied about the time he arrived and departed, trying to charge us extra thinking we wouldn't notice. It takes weeks to get an answer/quote sometimes. Once I contacted them for a quote and didn't get a response for a MONTH. Unacceptable. This company is awful. Use Old Dominion for your freight needs.
