Cheap and nasty. Would not recommend

worktop is rubish. three weeks later a crack appeared. From the company are not responding to my emails. VERRY BAD QUALITY DO NOT BUY

Had to fit a double Belfast sink into a full stave oak worktop that cost a fortune and wasn’t exactly looking forward to it. Picked up a Belfast sink jig from here and it went like a dream - great product and for once, really clear and helpful instructions. Thanks!
(If you also sold a 16mm router bush and 5mm round nose cutter for the drip channel I’d have been even happier)

I placed an order for in the name of cod for cheese chip with extra cheese and and sausage. The sausage is right but the cheesey chip didn’t come. I phoned them about it and they said I was lying! I won’t use them again

Ordered 2 first quality jigs. One came badly damaged (boot Marks on box) obviously done in transit. Spoke to customer services, immediately sent new jig.
Unfortunately the replacement came with a crack in it, but it was usable. Once again, customer services dealt with the issue straight away. Cannot fault the service, top notch, thanks.

Use these guys for my worktops and so pleased. Not only a great price, but the experience from purchase to delivery is outstanding. Constant updates telling me the status of my order, where it is, date of delivery etc and crucially a call 30 mins before delivery every time. Thank you

I was looking for a worktop jig to replace my old one and found The Chippy Shop, excellent prices. Ordered one and was delivered within 2 days. Excellent transaction I can definitely recommend this site to anyone. Thank you.

I had some accurate cutting needed from them. I found the cuts to be accurate and the whole experience was really good. Delivery arranged and done well. Product wrapped and secured.

Ordered solid oak work top which was delivered on time with helpful drivers. Checked for damage, non apparent. Started applying danish oil and began to notice imperfection between segments. I let it go, but found more. Company apologised and as I hadn’t cut the worktop promised a replacement. Which I’m expecting in a couple of days. Yet, I wondered how could such be delivered. Do they have items to put out, in hope of them being accepted? What ever the case, all the time I’ve spent on the worktop has all gone to waste. For me, companies should be held responsible for ‘their’ error and reap the cost of the customer. Then they might be a bit more particular about what they put out.

Wrong item delivered and expected me to pay more to rectify

Ordered 4m x 40mm Beech worktop. Arrived in a couple of days. 2 man delivery as promised (necessary as it was very heavy).
I fitted it the same day and it looks great, I am over the moon with my purchase.

Not great. Satisfactory just!

After reading reviews on Trustpilot I was concerned that I had made a mistake ordering from this company...but how wrong was I...I ordered my worktops late on a Saturday and was contacted by email very quickly with all details of the delivery day and times. The delivery drivers phoned me 30mins before delivery, they were very polite and helped me check over the worktops for damage.The worktops are brilliant and they were excellent value...what more can you want from a company!

disgusting customer service throughout this company! my 1st order they delivered 1 oak worktop and matching breakfast bar unfortunately the breakfast bar was damaged and the delivery driver said they'd take it back and someone would be in touch, and they did I received a phone call a couple of hours later and was offered 3 different solutions as they didn't have that particular breakfast. bar in stock so I said that I have a chat with my family and call back once we've decided. after 5 working days trying to get back in touch with the person who called me (she was the only person who could verify what she'd offered no one else could help) I decided to cancel the order via email then I finally got a response and the lady cancelled my order with no apology, I then decided to complain via email and ebay then I got a reply from another person through ebay, he called me to apologise and offer me another upgrade, stupidly I fell for it but because the lady had cancelled my order I had to pay again and wait for my 1st refund, the contact through eBay promised next day delivery and the next day the van pulled up the delivery driver said we've got your worktop but come and look at it as its badly damaged all down one side, it was really bad and I asked where the breakfast bar was and he said he'd been told someone had rang me to say there wasn't one but I hadn't received any phone call, email or anything. that was the final straw so I cancelled again only to be told by the same person about there 14 day refund policy. I've just got my first refund back about 21 days after cancelling thanks to ebays resolution centre. and I'm now 18 days after cancelling my 2nd order and have now contacted barclaycard to step in and get my money back! beware of this company I completely believe most of the great reviews online must be fake, sift through the good ones and you'll find plenty of bad reviews! But seriously do not use this company!

Catalogue of errors. Number 1, failed next day delivery. Number 2 promised to deliver 4 days later. Number 3 delivered four days later but only two thirds of the order. Number 4 Promised a next day delivery, Failed It was 2 days later. Number 5 Delivered outstanding items, no, failed again sent laminate not solid oak.

The final problem when the last item eventually arrived was that widths of the worktop differed by 7mm and the stave size was also 25mm and not 20mm, but I had given up the will to live by this point.

One positive however is that Kirstie Farmer, the customer support manager, did her very best to sort things out, unfortunately she is being let down by her suppliers and her own warehouse staff.

If the company carries on like this it won't be around much longer!!

I have changed the rating because one and two stars indicate "friction" and there was non, did their best to rectify an otherwise problematic situation.

Extremely unhelpful with providing information about the delivery: I live on the first floor and two delivery men refused to take it up to the flat as there was a company policy, I phoned the company's customer service who stated that it was written in their terms and conditions and mentioned in the email, I re-read all correspondence, NOWHERE was it mentioned about the delivery restrictions, ended up paying extra £50 for handymen to take it to the flat.

Supplied 2 oak bench tops, 1 with 20mm and 1 with 40mm staves an obvious mistake. Then supplied a replacement some days later, this turned out to be a darker colour. Not spotted until in place as the 1st bench was already fitted due to the delay with the replacement and there is no room to prepare the new in the kitchen. So left with mismatched work tops. No help from customer support other than a suggestion to stain the lighter one. No acknowledgement they made a mistake or any willingness to correct it. We are now out of pocket for work benches and cost of fitter. We now have to remove the benches and buy replacements that match and have the fitter fit so more expense on top.
