It is 30/05/2019 but they already bill me another month till 02/07/2019. What a joke...

Experience unacceptable - highly unprofessional and unreliable

I use ChicagoVPS for FXBlue trade copying (only 1 account to another account). However they suspended my services for HighLoad and never contacted me and continued to charge me for another 4 months.

When I emailed them with my list of questions and asking for a resolution and my funds to be refunded from the point when they suspended me unannounced. This was the response from the client service person basically giving me the information that is already present in the client portal without answering my specific question and offering no help. Not only is using their service detrimental to a trader, they are just completely unprofessional and it is just not acceptable. Do not use them.

Hello Jeanette,
We have checked and it seems, your server has been suspended due to the High CPU usage "Suspend Reason: High load (183.0)".

ChicagoVPS"

When I questioned why they are not answering my questions and charging me without offering any services again and noted that I may leave a negative review from them, I got this response... can someone tell me this doesn't sound a little rude? It doesn't even start with a "Hi", or "I am sorry for your bad experience".. I have no idea what abusing the TOS/AUP (this is an unproven accusation from a client executive to the consumer), as far as I know I have one MT4 running and this is a minimum for any trader.

"
This has been flagged for Management and they will get back to you by end of business tomorrow, threatening to leave bad reviews due to you abusing the TOS/AUP will not resolve the matter and the TOS/AUP violation does not mean we can refund you, if they choose to do so it will be as a courtesy and may be in terms of account credit depending on the outcome.
Once reviewed we will let you know if we can continue to provide the service, may need an OS reload if so, if not will see what we can offer in terms of credit/refund.

I bought a vps from black friday 2016 deal. It has 4 gb and 4 cores, I haven't noticed, but today when I logged into my VPS, I only have 2 cores and 4GB. Feeling ripped off after a year of service with them.

I'm giving this two stars because i did…

I'm giving this two stars because i did get somewhat of a reply, so thats something. My experience is below.

Black Friday at midnight i purchased one of their special deals, said "availability (INSTANT)" on the service, it didnt arrive instantly. I was okay with this, i figured the payment just needed to be processed, the next day I still dont have it. I continue to wait. At 24 hours i send in a ticket to ask whats happening, i get a very quick reply saying im being forwarded to sales/billing. The entire next day i hear nothing. Then the next day (it's monday now) i add on to my ticket complaining that i have no reply still, after 3 days. And now today, the Tuesday after black Friday i finally get a reply just saying that they have issued me a refund.

So I'm kind of screwed on my black Friday server deal that ive been waiting for all year long. I guess theres always next year!

Don't spend any penny on this services!

I use their vps a long time.
Today I got a long downtime due their server issue about network's package loss.
Support is un-professional and don't has knowledge about network issue. They just tell me to re-install vps???!!! That's missed point.

If you use their service now, keep your backup and move to other provider ASAP.

Please, don't spent any cent to this service

I pay a VPS "Enterprise" (12.00usd mo) with Debian 9, with extricted firewall rules, cloudflare and management (ssh, web panels, ftp, etc) via VPN (with cert. auth) (there isn't a way to break this).

Now I moving to another service, because they'll delete my VPS data due a DDoS attack.

"Your server has been suspended due to DDoS attack. We will need to reinstall your Operating System.
Please note that you will lose your data after reinstallation."

Support uses words like "etc", they're lazy to help clients.

I can't tolerate things like this.

Review from 2017

I had service from January to June of 2017. Everything was fine at first, but only a couple of months into it, I had terrible problems with disk write speeds and occasional but significant lag even navigating via terminal. Server had a HDD vs SSD. Support response times were good once, but ultimately cancelled due to lack of a resolution and slow response time followup of that issue.

All that said, I'd probably buy again with SSD hosting if the price and location was right. I was pleased with the service at first, and I only need support if something on the company's end is not working right.

Very good service.

They provide very fast VPS servers, they have good support now and they'll help you with anything and work out almost any problem you have.

Ridiculous

Ridiculous. They deleted ALL my data without notice just because they failed to charge my credit card.

I have setup automatic payment using my credit card. It's been working well for a few years. Then suddenly, they said they couldn't bill my card, and they just deleted my entire site without notice. They don't even try to contact me.

STOP! You get what you pay for.. in this case... LESS!

I have been a customer for 3+ years. Outages have been many. They would constantly blame me! Yet, I had made no changes! As another reviewer mentioned, they would ignore the true problem and ask stupid questions. They had to change my server IP Address to resolve a problem once...never answered "why"? I have slowly been moving all my sites to DigitalOcean, and have been VERY happy. Currently, I am completely down on ChicagoVPS for the last 17+ hours... and I had one site to go : (

I'm their client for a year now and I'm more than satisfied. I came from years of Linode, where the price wasn't good and the reliability either (too many resets for maintenance); I've got the 2016 BlackFriday 5 bucks OpenVZ sale and it was the best think I did: no downtimes so far!

Would recommend to my friends (like I already did in this 2017 Black Friday) and anyone looking for a good VPS.

No live Support at all and a very high downtime. I have had months where my server was down for more than 10 days in a month.

Even if the system is down , they reply back after a week. To troubleshoot they ask for the password of your server.

They turned off my server without any notice multiple times due to Unpaid Invoice. Billing system is a compete fail. They overcharge and still turn off the server as they are not able charge properly.

Resources allocated are just a joke. Even a 15 year old PC is much faster than what they offer

Continued to take payments even after canceling service

Use to have a VPS with them, but canceled it back in march, notice yesterday that they are still taking payments, i contacted them, but they said it was basically my fault for not blocking them from continuing to take payments and no refunds, they are now not responding to my attempts to contact them.

Bad service and unrealistic marketing

I had a few services with Chicago VPS, mainly due to offers or plan changes. When I got emails it always said instant setup and not once has this been the case, and I've had to contact support. When support did create the servers manually it wouldn't accept connections, no pings etc either. As such seems like rubbish scripting or incorrectly configured firewalls.

No explanation was ever given to any of this, they can't admit their own faults. They trade as ChicagoVPS but they are officially called Velocity Servers Inc.

In terms of support just really bad customer service, unable to take criticism and always blame the customer. Cancelled all services as of now and won't be going back, a joke of company. Invest your money into a decent server provider / data centre for VPS use, avoid this.

Worst Support and Shitiest Website Ever

They don't provide what's on website. I ordered a Chicago server and they gave me New York location. It's so dumb and they don't refund.

I ordered the server on 4th Jan and Today is 11th and I have nothing. They have multiple staff and they will keep saying, concern department will reply but you will not get nothing. My suggestion to stay away a big hell from them. Choice is yours.
